Great local. Good food and beer. No real ales but a lot of locals don’t drink it so understandable. Fantastic staff. Bingo. Discos. And live music too.

An absolutely perfect time out with my nan. We come here often and have never left a review, but today we had a fantastic service experience from Steph. She catered to us perfectly, allowing us to put our items on a tab and ensured that we had everything we needed. Whenever we ordered a drink at the bar, she was more than happy to bring it over for us. Thank you Steph, your service skills really stood out to me.

Terrible meal on 31st October supposed to be skewers was cold wet onions which was supposed to be sizzling awful

Come hear every Thursday afternoon for bingo and the atmosphere is great. After we always eat hear as the food is hot and lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful

Horrible food took 1 hour for the food it was cold the app don't work no table numbers for those people who don't have a phone and we had to cancel our desert because it took to long😡😡and also there was a guy vaping in the restaurant near kids😡 and including myself surly no smoking means no smoking no customer should be vaping or smoking/we should get a refund/listen to the review/the staff we're so rude to me they just slammed the food on to the table/IM NEVER CONING BACK HERE

I didn't like the food, very tough meat.. very old environment never renovated... There is a very strong smell as soon as you enter and the service is of low quality.... The bathrooms are the wall urinals that were used in the Octoberfest of the 70s

the lady bar tender was very informative when it came to ciders and using my birthday voucher correctly.

Very nice food also chef Andrew was very nice and friendly definitely recommended Will definitely be going back pleasant and friendly

Had an amazing breakfast today it was cooked to perfection the chef Andrew was bubbly and polite. the bar staff Natalie and Amy are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend coming here.

Had lunch on the 21st September really enjoyed it I had a lasagna cooked by the chef Tara tasted lovely and good portions the staff are really friendly and I will definitely be back.

Had lunch there on Saturday, food was great, well cooked and hot. Tara the chef even came out to make sure we were satisfied with the way it was cooked. The pub itself is friendly and helpful. Will definitely be going back there again.

Our usual pub for lunch after our art session had an issue and the kitchen was closed. The Journeys End pub used to be our local as my friend lived in Clay Lane and I lived in Woodberry Walk so we thought we would revisit our old haunt. Very pleasantly surprised that the welcome is still as good as it used to be and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The food is not bad either. We can recommend the beef rib. More importantly they still do M & B mild so I will be back with my mild deprived husband. Thank you Journeys team for a great lunchtime.

Im quite a regular customer here since they were available on the uber eats platform. Now while the food is the majority of the time fantastic and the staff friendly and helpful , there are a few issues which does let this place down. Mainly the separation of cold drinks and hot food being packaged together with the food ending up being cold on receipt. While this particular issue has now became rare it still does happen every once in awhile which is disappointing. Secondly staff reading order notes on orders. I myself add order notes specifying particular dietary requirements or asking for a extra pot of bbq sauce etc which unfortunately seem to be what would I assume not read. If my they were unable to facilitate what was specified in the order notes then at least I would expect a phone call or a note written in with the order. Overall the staff and food are great but the small issues that I've encountered let this place down ever so slightly.

All the staff are really friendly, the food is delicious and just an all round good atmosphere.

Beer kept well no ales on tap so had Madri, staff seem out of their depth in the bank Holiday rush. Food was pretty good and has improved. Lot of regulars use this pub but friendly enough.

Just to be a regular visitor. Hadn't been in for some time so decided to pop in. No one behind the bar, had to wait sometime to be served even though it wasn't busy. People ordering food had a wait too. However the food appeared to look very nice. I can't imagine what it would be like when busy. Maybe just an off day.

Have to wait for the food over 2 and half hr for food and fish and ships were not as use to be were disappointed.

Gone massively downhill. Still a great pub to chat to locals but the established ‘feet under the table’ miserable staff spoil a decent pub. If you are that unhappy at work then leave. A real shame.

Use regularly, but 1st time for food in a long while ? Maybe even pre covid ? Food was really nice, waiting time was ok, bar service can be extremely slow on occasions ? But apart from that great bunch of people working there 👍

Bar staff was really slow and too busy talking to each other rather than the customer. Food took a long time to arrive but it was nice when we got it

Staff are friendly and helpful will visit again try out some more of the food out. So I have returned to pub had food this time it was good. Me and the family was happy and had a good time

Waited over an hour and a half for food to be brought out. Bar staff dont warn you there's a waiting time

All good , staff great, especially Ben, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE turn down the music as can’t have a conversation in the lounge area with friends and eat in peace, feels like a Saturday night disco, left with a banging headache on a week night😫😫😫

Fab atmosphere, friendly staff! The only thing that could be changed is the music wasn't turned on in the family end even after 9pm when children had to leave so we asked for it to be turned on

Really beautiful wake after a funeral. Good food and good atmosphere afterwards. Nice to have a side room as well also our own bar.

Ordered food and after 45 minutes still not received food only to be told there was on chef on and that the takeaway orders have priorities over in house customers and there were only about 15 customers in the pub absolute disgusting service to your regular customers

We want to the journeys end pub tonight what a difference a week makes the food was excellent the staff were very professional i wood recommend this frindly community pub to anyone special mention to Freddie the manager who made use feel special we will be retuning soon

Had to clean our own table after plates were removed ten minutes later, then I had to wait for my main as the cook couldn’t understand 2 chicken platters from the screen.. my family ate before me and said they’d wait till mine came out but that would mean that theirs would have gone cold!! Chicken on eldest was burnt and dry and he said he nearly broke a tooth

We are here after being recommended by a family friend. The food is amazing and staff are friendly and nice.. Courtney, who was serving us went out of her way to make sure everything was how it should be, even checked with us after we finished eating and even before leaving.

Well this is a really lovely place to eat the service is excellent the staff are extremely polite and helpful the lady who served us was Courze louise she couldn't do enough for us to ensure our meal was just as we liked it the tables and cutlery were clean no staff bothered us whilst eating our meal only once when finished asked if everything was ok bar service was good no waiting to be served sharp eyed staff ensured prompt service will definitely be going again

Dirty sticky table. Moved to another table that was full of another customers foods who had left. Asked a staff serving drinks if table could be cleaned. He came over took food away sprayed table while sitting at the table with condiments in a pot. Ordered food. Chips/ Nachos in a dish which were cold. I asked for replacement. By the time they arrived some 10 mins later i was put off. Asked for a refund on my burgers already paid for 🍔 as I was not hungry anymore. I was asked if I wanted to take them home. Well! Do I Laugh 😃 or cry 😢. No No No I want a refund on my burgers 🍔 Thank you. As we had not received them thank God. I paid by Card received cash payment um 😐 😳 very Strange Would not entertain food again 🙄 Staff not bothered about Customer service at all. To busy laughing with each other. Shame really, because served a nice Pint of lager.. Regular in Pub advice dont go near toilets OMG 😲 😱

Not enough staff on resulting in long waits at the bar, lots of dirty glasses on the bar for too long and dirty plates on the tables for too long. Luckily the food was nice and did not take the 1.5hrs that we were told it could.

Mostly a pub for the locals. Good atmosphere if you are passing by.

Compare the same grill mixed order (same shop, in two weeks, so different in terms of food quality and service) The left one was really bad - seriously overcooked and took one hour to wait for the food serve. The server explained it was too busy in the kitchen in Saturday afternoon.

Really lovely food. My food was sizzling hot. Especially enjoyed their dirty fries. Absolutely divine. Louise (staff member)'s hospitality is just lovely. There was another young gentleman working too who was very friendly. Overall very impressed and will be visiting with friends soon.
