The Golden Hind in Birmingham

We took mom and dad for an anniversary meal ( 66 years). Both of them are not too keen on chips so the kitchen changed the chips for mash potatoes which they enjoyed better. So impressed with the pub,especially because we was there just after 12pm and there was plenty of tables to choose from. An enjoyable meal for us all.

Having just opened at 12 , We new it would be quiet. Our meals were freshly cooked,and was hot when served to us. We had ordered the Hunters chicken, scampi & mash,and Fish & chips. Tasted very good,served by friendly staff Thanks

Lovely little boozer it’s my local, great place to pop in for some food in the day, child friendly lovely atmosphere everyone is so welcoming there’s new owners who have recently taken over and are trying there best to keep the place great for the locals, they listen to advice to keep the place great keep up the amazing work guys your settling in so well.

My favourite boozer by far . New owners but very friendly and welcoming . Brilliant atmosphere , especially weekends . Food has definitely improved in the last few weeks . Also kids eat for a £1 during school holidays so it's a big help when trying to save pennies . All in all a very friendly family pub . Would recommend to anybody

we love coming to the golden hind not only is the food brilliant but the staff are so friendly and accommodating, it's very child friendly and also allows the dog to pop in for a drink too, the new owners are doing a fantastic job we all highly recommend checking it out for yourselves you won't be disappointed

I basically live in this family friendly pub and it has such a nice atmosphere the people are so friendly excpescially behind bar staff and new owners nat and Kiran have really shown positive attitude getting to know all there customers it's quite an amazing place to be

Went in for food. Was very busy so throught there be a big wait but no sevice was brilliant fish and chips was great and the beer to wash it down went down well.

Food is pub grub and quality is good but could have been better as some items on my mixed grill could have been cooked for longer. Service generally okay. Would visit again.

We were there only yesterday, Wednesday 22 May at 1:30pm for lunch (4 adults). It was quiet in there about 3 tables taken up including us. We order for 4 fish and chips but only 2 was available, so we go for 2 fish and chip, 1 curry with beer meal and 2 starters - soup of the day and prawn cocktail,, we waited for our food for 45 mins when there wasn’t anyone else ordered, when our came the amount of the soup of disgusting it was only about 4 spoonfuls scope and the butter was melted like cooking oil. The fish for the fish and chip wasn’t fresh at all, it was tough and rubbery tasted disgusting. This place as really gone down hill being last taken over. Don't think we will ever go there for food again.

This is mine and my friends local and we love it here. So friendly and the atmosphere is so warm, been so much nicer in recent times. Good selection of drinks and we're always having a fun time!

This pub is my local and it never disappoints. The beer is always fresh and there's never a bad atmosphere in there. All the bar staff are friendly as well, Pauline is golden behind the bar during the day.

As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is warm and welcoming customers and staff are really kind and helpful we order food and there was a good selection to choose from my austic child found it easy to select from the menu when the food came out it was perfect and there was plenty and we never felt rushed after we had our food it was a lovely experience and will be attending again

Everyone was friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. The staff were friendly and efficient, the facilities were clean the seating comfortably.

The christmas dinner on the festive meal for a christmas pub meal was very good and the best thing about the meal.. Despite preorder some puddings were unavailable. One christmas pudding was burnt in the middle...too much time in the microwave. Again despite pre order and pub not busy and a set time for arrival a long wait for food and in between courses.

Came up for some food, sirloin steak was perfect, my wife's hunters chicken was nice as well. Elvis Presley tribute started and it was brilliant, new manager doing well.

Popped in on Sunday 21st May at 3.30 with friends and their kids. Have to say that the food was really good, all came piping hot and the drinks were well priced. Nice quiet atmosphere and friendly staff, Jeev was courteous and friendly as was the young girl but didn’t get her name. All round really good experience so will definitely be back. Thanks to all

This pub recently has greatly improved food wise due to new management and I can only assume cook .. the food on the two occasions over last few weeks one being a Sunday roast (just like you mom would cook ) was freshly done with fresh veg and potatoes and the added bonus of it being piping hot .. the second time the same piping hot Food no long wait all delivered with friendly staff .. I’ve not been in the pub for a few years due to the food but will definitely be a regular now x

The chef at this establishment doesn't know the difference between medium rare and well done steak. When we sent the order back, we were told we would have to wait because there was a big food order or the 1 guest who had ordered the steak could have a refund (and sit and watch us eat?) .Not the way to treat your customers

Continues to be a let down. [Good Friday] one bar staff in her 70s manning the bar & lounge. Waiting patiently for ages to be served, in the end I left, ridiculous. Speaking from experience the food is disgusting no pride in what comes out of the kitchen. Last chance saloon, they have blown it. It used to be the pride of Kingstanding its a dive now, [my local] Faulty towers without the laughs 100% guaranteed disappointment. The manager is normally nowhere to be seen. The male chef a complete joke, cannot cook scampi, uncooked inside mushy outside. [Steak] grey not medium rare it's a lottery everytime you order food. He doesn't seem to know you do not serve discolored salad, [brown oxidation] nasty. Everything about this pub is wrong from service to the food preparation. The female chef to be far knows what she is doing, however the male chef seems to be there more often than not, shame really. I will be drinking & eating somewhere else from now on, & catch a taxi back home so much for my local, be warned ⚠️

We visited the Business Networking Breakfast at The Golden Hind on 3rd March. It was our first visit to the pub and we immediately noticed it was an excellent venue. Located conveniently to the motorway, good size car park and decorated tastefully. The food was exceptional, so much so that after the breakfast event finished we even stayed for lunch. The food and drinks are exceptional value and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be returning.

Great venue often missed by driving by. Excellent food and really good atmosphere. Landlady made us feel really welcome, nothing too much trouble.

Never been here before but the landlady of 1 yr is now hosting Business Over Breakfast which is a networking club in the morning (fortnightly). Pop in to find out more and grow your business...and did I mention a really nice Breakfast.

Charming pub with a bus route just outside so its a very easy commute to almost anywhere. Friendly staff, nice menu and some great quality drinks. Overall had a great experience. Definitely would recommend this place.

Not a bad pub drinks bit pricey food not bad !!!

Opens at midday, not 11am as Google thinks. We stopped for lunch while we used their fast car charger. Lovely people and very tasty food, made with care by someone who apparently likes to do that. Also seemed very cheap to us (but we're from out of area). Delighted, will come again :)

As part of a local litter picking group, we recently had our Christmas lunch here. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the place was very festive and the food was fabulous, a fantastic time was had by all. The landlady, goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy and comfortable whilst in her establishment. From all us litter pickers “A BIG THANKYOU” to you and the local community for making our afternoon a memorable one. Merry Christmas! 🎄

Good food, reasonably priced and the staff were lovely. The only negative was you could smell the cigarette smoke inside from the beer garden.

I don't rate the hind any more every thing has gone down hill most of regalers have gone or have been bard there's not much entertainment on because she is more interested in her other pub

Since Helen has took over the pub there has been entertainment every weekend . Bar staff are very friendly and cater to Our needs. All the trouble makers have been removed and the pub is back to being family orientated. Great place To be I’d recommend to all.

I went to the hind last night and the atmosphere was brilliant. We had food and it’s was delicious and staff were very helpful. I would recommend the pub to anyone. I am looking forward to going again. 😀

I only went to charge my car whilst I was in the area. Pub was not open but lived to have gone in for a drink whilst I waited. Car charger worked great though.

We had a meal here last night and it was absolutely beautiful. The pub itself has a real community feel with lovely staff and customers. We will definately be returning. 🍽🍻🥂🍹🍸🍷

The referb is quality , great staff , funny gaffer lol well now its changed again Tony has left and tbh the new gaffer is friendly but after this pub being my local for many years but not for the last few , ive spent the afternoon in there today the beer was top grade beautifull pint , my only concern is there was only five of us in the bar alll afternoon WHY? Ive spent sunday afternoons in that bar in years past where u wud struggle to find a standing place , let alone a seat , les hope it picks up as its a real nice pub

Great pub to unwind at after work for a few drinks and grub. Great value for money and the food is second to none. Easily best pub food going, the burgers are something else, and the staff are friendly too 🤙

Treated my friend to lunch yesterday here,first impressions on entering was how dark it was,poor light fittings we found a table close to a window as the time went by and it brightened up outside.However the food we ordered was outstanding,we both had a light meal of BBQ baguette (warm) salad & chips it was so delicious, we'll definitely be returning thank you
