First visit and will definitely go again . Very nice pub staff were excellent especially the man who seemed to be in charge behind the bar. Food and service excellent.

I came out with my family for a meal upon arrival we was great with a warm welcome and asking how we are, we ordered a classic mixed grill and steak and chicken, every was cooked perfectly

This is a nice place to go to on the weekends, it's got a lively atmosphere especially when a game is on. They have a large range of food options and cater to my dietary needs. Will definitely be coming back!

Oh dear. Where do I start. We use The Yenton regularly as it is near us. A few weeks ago I booked a table for 6 for August 26th. I booked it whilst in there. Confirmed. Then recently there were 2 extra seats added. I did this by phone.The man on the phone said yes booking for Jayne at 6pm. 2 added. All booked. We arrived just before 6 on the 26th, No booking. Nothing in the diary. Zoe said there were two tables she could accommodate us all. Then we found out it was a limited menu. No mention of this prior to the day. We ordered. Several of us ordered sizzler steaks. We ordered medium rare & rare. They were overcooked in the kitchen & continued to cook on the sizzlers. Most were medium & my son's was well done & he couldn't eat it. One meal was wrong altogether & arrived when most of us had finished. We spoke to Zoe (the manageress) & said we weren't happy. She offered free desserts for everyone. This was really poor. Zoe was polite but said that was all she could do. We asked for a free round of drinks. She said no. Then she said there was another manager Diane who was "downstairs". We were told Zoe was the manager. She went to ask her about it. Diane didn't even have the decency to come to us to apologise for the appalling service. The answer came back from Zoe that no Diane said free desserts only. For the sake of approx £35 Diane has now got your pub a bad review. Our party had travelled some distance for a family wedding & to say they were disappointed with your company is a gross understatement. No more visits from us.

I meet my brother and a couple of friends here every Friday a frequently have food, we have never had a bad experience at the Yenton, the staff are efficient and friendly the beer is good and the food is good, last but not least the customers, we are all friendly with each other with no-one pushing in or being lairy, quite the opposite in fact with " I think this gentleman/lady was before me" will be said rather than being served out of turn. Clean toilets front and rear outside areas. Nothing bad to say about the Yenton, which is something you wouldn't have said prior to it's makeover.

Barmaid extremely rude....it was a real shame as we have used this pub for family gatherings for years but have never been spoken to so rudely by a bar staff member ..she obviously didn't want to be at work....

Great food which was nice as me and my partner and brother in law had been out all day. The drinks was refreshing and a good price sweep for the food and the drinkand the waitresses was so nice and helpful. Overall I had a lovely time.

We visited last night,23/07/24 and were greeted by an extremely rude member of staff who told my partner to take his cap off. He explained that he had alopecia and didn't feel comfortable taking it off, to which she replied 'well you have to for the cameras'. We again tried to explain that my partner has a medical condition and would have been happy to discuss privately as its something that causes a huge amount of embarrassment and stress for him but instead she shouted 'well don't take it off then' and walked away. The same staff member then screamed at my 2 year old foe running over to me when ordering food at the bar. Again, completely unacceptable. We will not be visiting again and hope the staff member is offered some customer service training as I would hate another customer with a medical condition to be treated in the same way!

Food is awful since new menu. Kitchen is "closed" unexpectedly a lot. Staff are rude especially the barmaid I think is called Chelsie. Slams drinks down on the bar and rolls eyes. Used to be a fantastic pub I would always bring my children here for dinner as a treat but would rather pay the extra and go to Verdo across the road for good food and friendly customer service. Such a shame. New staff and management much needed.

Absolutely love the offers in The Yenton, for midweek meals. We celebrate anniversaries and birthdays often here and love the kids eat offers and the couples offers. It's bookmarked as one of our favourites.

I visited the Yenton June 24th. I had an issue with my meal and I spoke to the manager Maria about it. Maria was absolutely lovely, very welcoming and understanding. A waitress called Julia was also very lovely, she offered us a desert and made us a delicious sundae as an apology. Despite the issues I had, I will definitely be visiting again as Maria and Julia’s service was 10/10. Both had smiles on their faces and made us chuckle a good few times. Thank you ladies <3

The service was good and the food good. We asked for the air conditioning to be put on as it was really hot in the pub,but was told it was broken,other than that all good.

I came here for the first time a few days ago and we definitely won't be back. The food was overpriced for what it was, there were items missing from one plate and when pointed out, there was no apology, although the waitress did go and fetch the missing items. The older waitress working was very chavvy and looked like she didn't want to be at work that day. A really unpleasant person to have to look at, while I was there. I didn't want the people on my table to be served by her, but unfortunately you don't get to choose your server. The younger waitress was perfectly fine though. The older, chavvy waitresses' aura was enough to put me off going again and I definitely won't be back. That, and the food wasn't great and not worth the money paid. Why aren't vegetables or salad served with all meals? How strange. The restaurant/pub itself had a cosy feel to it and the toilets were great. The atmosphere in the pub area was very lower class and not for me at all. Perhaps the diners could be separated from the drinkers? I'd like to see some staff there that aren't chavvy, as it really puts those from a higher class off and I think that's a shame, as I'm sure your establishment could benefit from profiting more.

I come here Monday with family we sat out in the sun and few drinks. Cleanliness of the pub is amazing. Staff were in and out collecting glasses and making sure everything is tidy and clean. Will be coming back again.

I visited here for lunch one Thursday afternoon with family. I was happy to see an array of vegan options on this pub menu, including vegan chicken ribs with veg. At the bar, the server was attentive and asked about sauces, sides, and allergies. I reiterated, vegan. I also asked if there was onion included in the veg as I do not eat garlic/ onions as it causes me digestion problems. The server stated that if it wasn't in the description, it was likely not included. When the food arrived, my brother exclaimed that my vegan dish looked very realistic. I separated the items to get a closer look when I discovered a large bone in the dish. Horrified, I asked my sis in law to sample the food..she confirmed it was meat!! We contacted the server, who stated she had input vegan ribs on the menu. That it was a mistake from the kitchen. The manager apologised for the mistake. But by that time, my family had all eaten their dishes. I'd only recently returned to the UK, 24hrs prior, and was quite hungry, so asked them to produce the vegan dish. It took time and delayed our next event. The new, vegan dish arrived with onions included in the veg. By that time, i was so hungry I opted to pick out the onions. As someone who lives in an Asian country, I am used to non native speakers making mistakes with vegan orders. I did not expect a local, British pub to make this error. I will not be returning.

I had a really lovely meal a credit to the chefs! I also had lovely drinks done by your bar staff and my waitress Jess was lovely and polite, always helping everyone out and checking meals were okay she works very hard! Keep at it :) *25.4.24* apologies wouldn’t let me post another review however, came in with my friend and had some food and drinks, I am extremely fussy therefore I only chose to have garlic bread and curly fries with a bottle of Coca Cola. I did try a new dessert which looked lovely and it was a sundae which I believe was called party sundae. That was amazing and so worth every bite! I will definitely be returning.

Not impressed with the food, one steak overcooked, one so tough it was virtually inedible, chips cold and tasteless, was looking forward to the meal that the webpage said was available which wasn't. Not impressed with the communication from staff, who couldn't tell me that the sauce I ordered wasn't actually available, so sat there waiting for it to arrive, another problem caused by the lack of website update. Anyway good luck for the future but it won't include my custom.

Lived near here for 9 years, never had opportunity to go in before. My friend and I wanted a steak so went in. I had previously look at the website page to see what I fancied, rump steak with peri peri sauce, just the job. We ordered steak, one well done and for medium rare with peri peri sauce. The meals arrived quite quickly but no sauce, I queried this with a waitress who said it will be a couple of minutes. Still no sauce, waitress arrives says only have peppercorn or beef dripping sauce. OK I say peppercorn, she went off. 25minutes later she arrives, with a sauce, of course the meal was eaten. and my medium rare steak is cooked well done! My friends steak is so tough he couldn't eat it, the chips were cold and pretty tasteless. Another waitress approaches and says you never paid for a sauce, I say but I ordered a sauce and the lady who took my order never said the sauce wasn't available, we get down the nitty gritty and find that there has been a change of menu and the brewery hasn't updated the website..... So in the very unlikely circumstance that you stay open that long, I'll see you in another 9 years just so see if there's been an improvement.

Update service very slowly, took over 10 minutes to order at bar. Took over 1 hour to arrive. Very rude manager (female). Food quality poor at best (date visit 22 March 24). Not been back yet since.

We came out as a family to try the new menu and we could not be any more impressed! The portion sizes are amazing and just mouth watering! We tried the giant gyros, the curry house feast and as I don’t eat much I had the gyros wrap which was ideal and not too heavy! We thank all the team and chefs especially for all delicious meals

Came today as part of a large group but sat separately due to not enough seats around the main table. My partner ordered 4 meals and 4 drinks via the app to the table. After 20 minutes the food arrived which was excellent timing, however the drinks still hadn't arrived. I went to the bar and politely asked how long our drinks would take as we had been waiting a while and my children needed their drinks with their food. For the (I'm assuming) landlady/manager (short woman, blonde hair) to throw her hands up in the air and raise her voice at me saying they were busy and I'd get my drinks when I'd get them, this was in front of various witnesses at the bar. I walked away from the bar quite shocked, eventually 3 drinks came out and one was out of stock so was replaced by another member of staff when she asked what id prefer instead. My partner got up to look for condiments to overhear the lady talking about me in a very unkind manner to other customers, who also stuck up for me saying they shouldn't have the app open if they cannot fulfill over the bar and app orders. Numerous times while I was sitting with my partner and children she walked past the table trying to be intimidating and making me feel uncomfortable. First and very last time I will be coming to this pub again. The waitresses were absolutely lovely however there was an atmosphere whenever they were around the manager. If you look down through other reviews it seems I'm not alone with my experience of this manager. A pub is supposed to be welcoming and social and this is not one of them.

Food and drinks are so good. Tried out the new menu I can say it is amazing I had Mac and cheese with garlic bread it was delicious. After I tried the new party sundae it was just as amazing.

This was our second visit to the Yenton, the first being the previous week when we called on the off chance and were able to be accommodated. The room was pleasurable, the food excellent, tasty and hot, and served on hot plates too which meant it stayed hot longer.

The food was absolutely abolishing, the manager was racial towards coloured people and I felt rather targeted. I was disappointed and unsatisfied not to mention my “well done steak” was pink!
