Popped in for a drink after a little walk , what a lovely pub , great staff , and one of the best pints of Guinness I have drank outside of the Emerald Isle

First time here and I absolutely enjoyed it. The food was awesome - very well made, presented and served. Staff very polite and helpful. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I went with my young kids but I was pleasantly surprised by the traditional family-friendly atmosphere.

Went in last night, has some food and stayed for the band, well an Irish singer, we had a good night in there, staff friendly, drinks fairly priced,

Had a beautiful Sunday roast today. So tasty and hot and great value for money. Also, the sticky toffee pudding and custard is to die for. Great atmosphere and the staff were very attentive and fruendly

Honestly the worst place to go in Birmingham. The staff talk back at you for no apparent reason, are not helpful and the food is straight from the microwave. Awful experience and a waste of hard earned money. No customer deserves such bad customer service and experience.

A lot of potential, now hopefully the new brewery will invest some money into the pub and add sky sports and Sunday dinners (like the red lion jq) and you’ll have a gold mine. Love the green monkey beer 👌

Lovely pub. Nice menu . Only a fair selection of real ale.

Attended a work colleague’s leaving get together at the place. Spent the entire evening in the beer garden area. The staff were very friendly and professional. There were a good choice of beers on tap. The Guinness there was excellent. Great place to have a good beer,food and no music blasting. Good open conversations between the people at the pub.

I've been coming to this pub on and off for the last three years and I've never had a bad experience, the staff are amazing and the new menu is brilliant. The pub has a great atmosphere and I'll be back as often as I can.

My family and I had a really good lunch and at a very reasonable price. Excellent customer service and a great pint of Guinness too. Will definitely return.

Come here every so often with my family every other weekend of a Sunday. Will say the pub is usually quiet, but it shouldn’t be. The atmosphere is spot on for a good old chat and the bar staff are attentive when you’re walking up. Cheap pints and a good selection. The cherry on top is the hand made food, this isn’t no frozen stuff it’s obviously fresh or simulates it. Takes a good 15 minutes but the flavour is worth it, did gousto for a while and they had these red chutney quarter pounders and they were so good I never thought I’d find anything like it and low and behold this bloody pub made the exact same style of burger. Steak mince for the patty and tasted as fresh as you can get and no fat chews or gristle. The red onion chutney was the perfect sweetness and the hand cut crinkle chips were devine! I love this place and if a Wetherspoons can charge about £12+ for a frozen burger and this place only charge £10 I’ll come here everyday if I was not watching my weight. 10/10 would recommend this place to a friend!

Quiz nights on Wednesday are top notch - only started going here recently after looking for a night to get out the house for and the staff are superb, regulars are friendly and a good selection of beers & shorts makes it a lovely mid-week treat. Quizmaster Dave is a legend and provides a quiz that isn't too easy or so hard that you can't have a decent go at it. Never any hassle and always a laugh around the corner. I look forward to it now, even if most of the time you just think if the questions you talked yourself out of! Highly recommended.

Excellent home cooked food. Aide and Bernie have made a real home from home. Great service from Conor. If you want a decent pint and a home cooked meal in a good atmosphere look no further.

Wasn't really a visit since we couldn't get the wheelchair past the cars parked.outside the door. Ps. Please could you give the Manager some money to put a bin of some sort outside the door - somewhere other than the pavement to put cigarette ends.

I have lived and worked around Harborne for many years, and it was the first time I had been to the New Inns. What a delight, lovely interior and well-kept beer. down side - no parking, so had a 5 minute walk in the cold. the garden area is massive and a fantastic area. I just wonder how much it's truly utilised with the British weather and the short university term

A beautiful gem of a pub in Vivien Road Harborne. Aid Bernie and all their staff make you feel really welcome. There is lovely homely atmosphere throughout the week. Sat nights are live music nights and fun is had by all. I sooo happy I've found this gorgeous amazing pub

Went here for lunch and I wasn't expecting much but I was truly blown away by the quality of service and food. I would highly recommend The New Inn to anyone new to the Harborne area.

First time at this pub on saturday. There for 5 minutes and barred. Went to see my partners daughter for a quick drink on her birthday, she was with company of around 16 people. One menber of the company was a bit tipsy and wanted sweets from the machine, this annoyed the manager and his girlfriend who werr enjoying their quit uninterrupted life. He and his girlfriend then preceded to bar everyone! I had plans to meet my dad there that evening so why my partner and i were barred aswell as many others on account of one person is ridiculously unfair treatment and ruined my night completely. If pubs are happy to turn away the kind of money any large group are spending seems like very poor management, obviously lacking the necessary skills required. A really sad waste of what i heard to be a really good pub, a shame i didnt get to see it. Update. This was NOT MY party as you say. You classed everyone the same. Your staff insulted us and your recollection is also incorrect. You were rude to me after trying to speak to you when i simply asked for details of who to write to in a complaint to which you had issue with and threatened with the police for asking this from you. You should of taken this up with the person in question not throw out all other customers with a power crazy attitude. I would also like to point out, as the young lady was intoxicated as you say, you happily served her and took her money knowing this. As for myself and my partner we were most definately NOT intoxicated, we hadnt been out long enough for that and had only joined the group briefly to give out a birthday card as i said i had other plans to meet with my father. You offended me by tarring me with the same brush.

Came into new inn for a meal for Irish night the food was very good 10/10 great entrainment the management and bar staff very friendly and nothing not too much trouble we was recommended this pub and they didn't disappoint good atmosphere good music good...

I'm a regular visitor to the New Inn and have never had nothing but friendly service with a warm welcome. Today was the first time dining there (I've been wanting to for a while), and I wasn't disappointed. The food came piping hot and was cooked to perfection. I happened to attend on a day where they had a special promotion on curry (they do this every wednesday). So my friend and I ordered the cauliflower and red pepper curry, as well as the fish and chips....... WOW!!! The food was beautiful. I never eat desserts usually but couldn't help but treat myself to a hot chocolate fudge cake with ice cream which was also blummin delicious. It happened to be the night of their weekly quiz night, so we stayed to take part. It was so much fun!! What was going to be a 2 hour lunch date with a friend turned into a 6 hour food and quiz night. Enjoyed it so much that I believe its going to be my regular Wednesday night out. Such a wonderful pub with friendly service and a warm welcome. The garden is absolutely MAHOOSIVE for summer drinking too. Also dog friendly. Thanks for a fabulous night!! Look forward to our return.

Bar staff incredibly friendly, fantastic venue. An individual was being homophobic and they sorted it immediately. Very very good venue with upstanding and kind staff.

Not great, I told friends to visit with me. I ordered drinks at the bar. When I went to pick up a glass of water the glass slipped out of my hand. The lady behind the bar was rude and told me to leave. Spoilt...

I was concerned after the change of ownership, but staff remain brilliant, food remains very good and the beer selection remains excellent. Very diverse and happy clientele for a reason.
