The slug and lettuce is on my work door step and it's a brilliant place to chilli in the bear garden for a bit of stress free lunch. Amy is a fantastic waitress very friendly and took care of all our needs and wants. Great place to go for cocktails after work also. Thanks Amy hope we get you next time as our waitress.

There is a lovely young lady called Edwina, she honestly has been so good to us. We've had jokes about people calling her middle aged ect. But she's a lovely young women. She has made our bottomless brunch amazing, we'd had a few whilst the other people who had worked hard before she arrived and credit to the staff they have worked hard also. But Edwina has taken just that extra step to make our experience that much better. I've never had a bottomless brunch before and she has made today worth doing it again. Again credit to the servers before her, they worked hard and fast in the very busy time we arrived. But Edwina just pushed it that one step further. Harbornes is a great Slug and Lettuce and I've always had a good time at Slug Lettuce and recommend to others always. Harborne is a lovely area too. And if you're tryna' go out with friends or meet nice new people, Harborne is a gooden'.

Meal was overpriced. The starter was battered prawns.Inside the batter was a tiny shrimp. Will not be visiting this plae again.

Terrible service terrible attitude terrible non pro active staff we live in harborne now we now why we don’t drink in this terrible place. I’m still waiting 15 minutes after ordering drinks not even that busy pxxx poor

Came to The Slug and Lettuce on the 25th. Great Service and couldn't fault the delivery from the front of house. Came back on the 26th, and we recieved a rather argumentative member of staff with short red hair who refused details and said we had to all use the Track and Trace app which we didn't need to do previously. No other venues we have used have requested this Birmingham wide. Bad attitude and Poor service. Will use other venues as a result.

We went for bottomless brunch and had a joyous time. The staff were so attentive, especially Natasha, and more than willing to top our drinks at any time. We would recommend this to anyone who is up for a good afternoon blitz.

First night out after lockdown. Our sharing platter wasn’t substantial due to low stock which we weren’t told about beforehand so we complained and they gave us discount. Laura with curly hair served is all night and was lovely, helpful and friendly!! 😄

Was met at the door by a very welcoming gentlemen by the name of Ja'mie. He guided me to a table away from other customers due to me still being a little apprehensive due to the current pandemic. I ordered a breakfast which was absolutely second to none. Jamie respected my space and privacy while being attentive and thoughtful. The best experience I've had in a Slug and a Lettuce having never visited the venue in Harborne.10/10 would definitely return. Maybe tomorrow with the girls for bottomless brunch.

We booked Slug & Lettuce Harborne for our friend's birthday. It was the first time we got together for lunch (outdoors), since lockdown lifted. We received a brilliant service from Waitress Lucy, which made our friend's birthday even more special:) She was very helpful, nothing was too much for her and she really went over and above with every request we had - with a smile on her face. She was very friendly and personable. Lucy made our day!

Lucy, Tasha and Jamie have treated us so well! Jamie served us on Sunday night and booked us in for brunch today. He was so friendly and attentive we couldn’t wait to come back. The girls have been so lovely and so helpful. I’ll definitely recommend this venue to my friends! X

Came with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. Had a nice booth in the window. We ordered at the bar as it was very quiet but they prefer you to use the app due to COVID restrictions. Staff were friendly to us, can’t say if that was due to us being quite easy as just a group of ladies. Looked like it has been given a lift as not as tired as it was last time I came.

I visited Slug and Lettuce in Harborne on Tuesday, the 3rd of November with my other 4 flat mates. Firstly, we we’re all told that it would make things easier if we all downloaded the slug and lettuce app on our phones and ordered our food and drinks with that, which we all happily complied with. Disappointingly, our food all arrived at different times, but we were happy to let this slide due to the fact that it was a busy night and we weren’t extremely bothered. However, I ordered two double gins on my app, and the server only brought over one. When I explained that we had in fact ordered TWO gins, she told me to wait and that it should be over soon, despite the fact that it was ordered at the same time as the first one that had already arrived. We waited around 10 minutes and there was still no sign of the other gin we had ordered. Therefore, I went to the bar and politely asked where our second gin was. I was then met again by the same women at the table who was the rudest person I have ever come across in my life. She was rude, dismissive and tried accusing me of lying about ordering two gins, despite me showing her the evidence of the order several times. She tried telling me that I had pressed the gin button twice, but not ordered two gins, which made absolutely no sense, as our total for two double gins (with no mixers) came to £13.70, which would be way too much money for just one gin. This woman was average height, had brown short hair worn in a half-up half-down style, was full-figured and had glasses. I have never experienced such poor customer service from someone and I seriously suggest that this women is disciplined and taught some manners. She was so rude about simply providing us with an item that we had paid for, and refused to accept her mistake even though we had significant evidence. She then spoke poorly about me in front of other staff members, and insinuated that I was being a difficult customer, despite asking twice in a polite manner where out drink was. I am seriously so angry and upset by the way this women has treated me tonight. It’s not on and it ruined our experience completely. It was not my fault that the order that I had paid £13.70 for did not come through on the bar, despite this women making out that it was. She then, and I quote, said to the man behind the bar ‘just give her the drink so she will stop being difficult’ !! Right in front of me! I actually cannot believe the audacity of this women and how nasty she was.Eventually, she brought over the drink to my table and then was extremely patronising, and said ‘Here’s your second gin, alright?’ which everyone around me also agreed was incredibly rude. Overall, I understand that the restaurant business is difficult and it was a busy night. However, it is no justification to the way I was treated by this member of staff tonight and I seriously suggest that something is done about it. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

No solo nos pidió que 'cerráramos la puerta' porque estábamos 'dejando entrar el frío', sino que fue extremadamente grosera e inútil cuando se trataba de avisarnos al NHS de rastrear y rastrear información. Desafortunadamente, el menú se redujo debido a Covid y una noche anterior muy concurrida provocó problemas de stock. El personal fue un poco demasiado severo al explicar las reglas de distanciamiento social en el edificio, la mayoría de las personas están más que felices de cumplir con las reglas, ¡pero una sonrisa es muy útil! I had never visited this venue before today, but must say was totally impressed from the moment we walked through the door, the manager was very informative and explained they were still operating the Eat out to help offer,he then showed us to a table which was spotless the food arrived and was delicious plus every member of the staff was so welcoming and polite we were all very happy with our experience at the Slug and Lettuce,well done to all...

Had a great night, special mention to Megan for amazing and friendly service.We came on a Friday night and service was quick and friendly, we could not find any faults. All bartenders were quick and efficient, always willing to help and go the extra mile.

Had a lovely time at the Slug and Lettuce in Harborne, staff were really friendly and helpful especially during this strange time! Social distancing is being managed really well here, and they have a number of hand sanitising stations. The manager who greeted us on entry was really welcoming, all in all, it was a lovely evening, amazing cocktails, great music and good vibes!

Fantastic food and by far the best battered halloumi I've ever ever had! My son has coeliac disease so I was a little apprehensive about his meal (Kids sausage &amp; chips) but everything was perfect! Staff really friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Me and my colleagues went here and had a lovely day until the end.At the end, when the music stopped 2-3 of my colleagues continues singing about 5-10 words. As they stopped singing, this unkempt waitress came and shouted at them "SHUT UP". When asked why she answered "BECAUSE I SAID SO" . Not only is that rude and horrible and I wouldn't dream in a million years to EVER say that to a member of the public, she was unnecessarily rude to a table of people why had spent over £500 in your pub. There are so many people out there who have lost their jobs and would be so grateful to be in her job and yet, someone like her just treats clients like trash.To say I am upset is an understatement, I and angry and outraged that someone like that got a job working with people in the first place.

You can make it as fancy and upmarket as you like but the slug will always be trash just like the people who run it.

We went for breakfast this morning and it was superb ! Beautifully cooked and presented . The service was spot on : polite,helpful and thoroughly friendly staff . Can not recommend this place highly enough . Will certainly return . Thank you all that work there for providing such a memorial experience .

I can’t thank Adam &amp; Megan enough for helping me organise my husbands 40th birthday it was a huge success.Adam was in constant contact either by phone or email answering all questions before the event making sure everything was in place for our evening.On the night of my event Megan ensured the evening went smoothly the food that we had served was perfect nice and hot and just what I asked for Megan came over throughout the night checking everything was ok for us and if there was anything else she could do for us.The snug area is perfect for a gathering and can be spilt in half if needs be.I would highly recommend this establishment.Thank you again

Have just returned from a lovely meal at the slug. Megan our waitress was so attentive, entertaining and accommodating, she went above and beyond to ensure the meals were to our liking. A real credit to the venue. The food was lovely and as it was a Monday it was 50% off. We have found a new venue for our girly catch ups! Thanks Megan for giggles, great service and the ice cream!

Had an amazing evening with amazing staff who catered for ALL people (SEN(D) included). I witnessed management helping a visually impaired customer around the establishment to find a comfortable table.However, when a customer with autism tried to help staff shortly after hours the management was incredibly rude, unaccepting and unapologetic toward me those with special needs. Megan and Josh both staff members at the time were fantastic and supportive of ALL customers but management were rude, disrespectful and unkind to customers of special needs.This requires improvement before visiting next time.A special thank you is required for Josh and Megan, not staff members, who made a person with autism feel very at ease and at comfort within the establishment.

I went to the Slug and Lettuce with my sister for lunch on saturday. We orederd one of the big platters which was delicious.I had to write a review about one the waitresses called Meghan. She was absolutely fantastic!! She was professional and polite and delivered our orders with a smile. We eat at alot of places and always rate a place by their level of customer service. We would say that Meghan is an absolute asset to the pub and we will be defintely be returing there because of how she represented the pub.

Weve been here numerous times, and always enjoy the fact its half price on a Monday. Food is always on an okay level, never bad, never amazing. Yesterday was awful. My daughter had a chicken wrap , which on arrival looked okay. She said as soon as she bit into it, it smells funny. I dismissed it and just told her to eat it. But she mithered and 'unwrapped ' the wrap. We were faced with iceberg lettuce, which was brown. To say I was horrified was an understatement. After complaining , the man in charge didnt seem overly worried. Said he 'would have a word with his chef ' I was told the wrap would be removed from the bill. On arriving home, looked at receipt and it wasnt actually removed from the bill.They had offered puddings, which we did accept but still thought the wrap would have been removed from the bill. Sadly I will never return to this place...

We visited Slug and Lettuce on the 31st January at 6:30pm. There were 25 of us and Adam kindly reserved a big section for us in the bar. The food was delicious as usual. We ordered 13 SL platter and the 3 vegetarian platter from the Sharer's option. We had enough food for the entire group and there were some left overs. Thanks Adam again for the suggestion. It was good value for money £10 per person. Adam's communication throughout and leading up to the event was superb. He was very accommodating considering the booking was made a week before our event.We had a fantastic time and the cocktails were just amazing.

Visited for the 2nd time on Christmas Eve with a group of 30+ for a meal and drinks. Run up to booking went smoothly with Adam the event manager and was able to accommodate what I wanted efficiently. When paying for the bill on arrival, we had a few complications which maybe could have been resolved before the event however these were resolved quickly. All meals were brought out together and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. The venue provided us with a sufficient space to accommodate our group of 30+ people. I will definitely be booking it again next year.

Reviewing solely for the mocktails. The mocktails here are delicious and they offer so much choice. I have tried a number of different ones and have not been disappointed. Good value for money - usually 2 for 1!

Todos nos quedamos impresionados por el excelente servicio y muy buena comida. ¡Tampoco somos la multitud más fácil de complacer! Si vas a reservar una comida de Navidad, sinceramente, no puedo recomendar Slug y Lettuce Harborne lo suficiente. Estábamos tan atentos por el personal, especialmente por la super encantadora Lucy. Volveremos el año que viene.

Return visit after disappointed previous visit. Food was really nice, no complaints. Service was excellent, Lucy looked after us very well. She has the right approach to customer service and is a credit to the company!

Went in here for lunch with friends as our usual place was full. Plenty of tables to sit at. Staff helpful and friendly. Food ordered was quickly served and tables cleared. Food was of average taste and small portion size. Place was needed a clean as there were remnants of last nights food and drinks. However, I would come back as the price and service was reasonable. Also the car park was a bonus and cost was refunded.

I held my sister in law’s baby shower here on Sunday and it was a smooth process from start to end. Adam was excellent with his communication when booking the venue, prompt in his replies and very pleasant to deal with.

Been here a few times and I accept it is what it is, pub food, however when I order the open sandwich with shredded chicken sharwma I expect more than a scooby snack. One slice of bread, I serving spoon of chicken and a rather limp salad.

The place felt dirty. Tables needed a wipe down and food etc left on tables. Toilets ok. Food not great just ok. Bar not stocked despite four staff members behind the bar battering. Worst was manager hiding in a corner then put his feet on chairs next to him. Sorry wont ge back here

I have had bad meals here and some pretty spectacularly great meals too. I like steak, and the last time I ate here the meal was a little bit more like a plate of gristle rather than edible meat, but I think that this may be a one off as usually this place's steaks are pretty good. The service is OK but the tables need keeping clear a bit more. The atmosphere seems pretty good though and generally the place is clean.

Great environment for family and friends to socialise over the cool menu, awesome cocktails and even hire spaces for events. I must insist on trying the 2-4-1 cocktails, I myself am a rum enthusiast and love the range of options on their menu. this is my go to place for a sophisticated / subtle club night out. There is always a really good DJ playing on Fridays/ Saturdays

We went on their half price food night. The drinks are expensive considering they are just an ordinary pub unless you are nto cocktails. The food was okay but nothing special and I certainly wouldn't pay full price for what we had. The desert portions were tasty but small and over £4 each not worth it.

I have come here the past 3 Monday’s with my sister for breakfast and each time I am happy - never let down by the great service and great food - very welcoming atmosphere - staff are very attentive to all request - Adam is always around and available for people to chat with making the visit extra friendly

My friend and i decided to have breakfast here as we were in the area. We fell in love with the decor of the pub and the ladies loos. The doors however screamed and screeched horrendously on opening and closing. The disabled loo is really disappointing. It really is so basic in comparison to the rest of the decor and detail. Mainly a changing place for a baby. Gutted that the decor was not as nice for the disabled clientele. However, Adam was lovely and polite, our waitres was also and the chefs did the most lush brekki. It was half price as it was a Monday - extra bonus! I did not eat the rest of the day. Lovely garden and a bit of the car parking back once you show the ticket. Really wonderful experience and will return. I hope the accessable toilet is made over soon.

Contraté este lugar para el baby shower de mi hermana el 20/7/19. Teníamos el área privada en la parte superior del bar, que era agradable. Usamos su buffett y elegimos el plato de sándwich que todos disfrutaron. Un montón de comida y estaba delicioso. Pedimos algo de música y ellos también nos la dieron. El área era amplia y nos dio mucho espacio para los juegos que jugamos. Para ser sincero, probablemente fue una buena cosa que nuestra área estaba aislada, ya que estábamos bastante ruidosos, pero el personal estaba bien con eso y el servicio era excelente.

Celebrated my 21st birthday here, the venue is amazing and the staff couldn’t be more helpful. Thank you to Jamie who looked after us all night. Good music, cheap drinks and overall fab night!

Visited on Monday evening. It was 50% off all food which was a bonus. The young lady serving us was friendly and very welcoming to my children, which put us at ease straight away. She then provided excellent service at our table. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and will visit again the next time we get chance. Food was nice too.

Originally chose the Slug and lettuce as a meeting place before going off somewhere else to eat but the lure of a 2 for 1 on gin & tonics kept us there so we decided to stay where we were and ordered food...didn't have great expectations as chain pub menus tend to be uninspiring but in this case we were wrong! Chose the mountain 'veg' burger which was presented beautifully and totally delicious ! Other meals equally as good. Relaxed atmosphere and service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely go back and can honestly say, try it- you won't be disappointed!

Al no haber vivido aquí durante varios años, me sorprendió gratamente la buena multitud, las bebidas a precios razonables y el gran jardín en la parte trasera. Grupos de muchachos y despedidas, probablemente una mezcla par de ambos.

Tuve mi baby shower aquí el mes pasado y fue perfecto, no me puedo quejar de nada. El personal que trabajaba en el día era muy servicial y educado. Originalmente tenía el lugar del 2 al 5, pero fue capaz de tenerlo un poco más debido a que era domingo y el lugar no estaba ocupado. Comida, cócteles (y cócteles sin alcohol) eran geniales. El servicio por el día fue increíble. También me gustaría agradecer a Adam por toda su ayuda antes del día.

Staff are excellent to the extra mile if asked. Great to sit with friends have good food. No soya milk can bring your own.

We had our joint baby shower here today and was brilliant service. We had the buffet which was excellent value for money and very good food. The staff could not have been more helpful and were very friendly and welcoming. They made sure that the day was enjoyable and stress free.

We have been coming to slug and lettuce on a Monday for around 2 years now as the food

Daughter took me and her mother in law out for lunch today. I have only ever drank in these franchises so didn’t know what to expect food wise.

Really disappointed as we usually do enjoy coming here, decor is nice and it has a casual vibe. Unfortunately this time left us very disappointed and somewhat shocked at certain staff behaviour. Standing with a child at the bar and visibly noticeable I was ignored and other customers who had arrived after me served first. Ok simple mistake but seemed quite rude. Now I know the girl who is serving us is new but when we ask for something rather than explain she is knew and ask us to help her out in what we want (or even ask another member of staff) we were just looked at with a puzzled expression and no response. Wine was served in a gin glass, not really a nice way to drink it. When we were asked about this we were told that’s how they serve it (this must be a new policy as we’ve never had this before) We had food which was good, all very tasty. When I asked about the kids dessert we were told we hadn’t paid for that but upon checking receipt I could see we had and also was due a kids drink which we hadn’t received. I went up to the bar to ask about this and on approaching from the back of the establishment I watched the man on the bar spit onto something behind the bar, this is so off putting. Never have I witnessed behaviour like that anywhere. They did give me the extra kids items we’d paid for but lacking on what was described on the menu. Not a great experience and definitely need to be training staff on how to do the job efficiently and even on interactions with customers.

Visited for lunch with friends that have mobility issues, parked on back car park for ease of access went into pub and top area by the doors was full. We asked to use the lift so we could access the street level and was told it doesn’t work. At that point another person with mobility issues came in and commented it’s been out of use for ages. We did eventually manage to navigate the stairs after having to ask customers to move pushchairs from the steps. Even if there had have been space in the car park level the toilets are in the street level part and would be in accessible to anyone unable to manage the steps.

Whilst the food here is generally good - although the flatbreads are sometimes soggy - the service relies totally on the staff of the day - our first a week ago was brilliant. However, this weeks waiting staff seemed somewhat bored and even though the restaurant was quiet they did not go out of their way to accommodate the paying customers.

Went here for a friends birthday. I appreciate that there is a cocktail menu so drinks will be slower. But not to the extent it is in here. Most people behind the bar appear to be cleaning rather than serving. That meant nowhere near enough serving staff for a bar as busy as this can get. Waited over 40mins for a drink, so did this twice, had enough and left. Went to a bar up the road. Bar staff extremely choosy on who they serve next, regardless of how long you've been waiting

Upon entering left at the bar to order drinks while the bar staff served another customer before us, we then went on to seating which was nice and cosey. We then proceeded to order for 2 x rump steaks cooked to medium( full off blood ) food was not up to standard at all. We complained and was told this is how rump steak is...? My wife trained as a butcher and we dine out on a regular basis so to steak was very poor quality and no apology was made only a poor explanation to this is how the steak is. First and last visit for food.

Went there today with a friend. Looked at the menu and I wanted the baked Camembert but at almost £12 I thought this was too much for one person. I asked if I could have a smaller version and the waiter said the Camembert is only small anyway so my friend and I both opted for a fish finger brioche. This was pretty average as you might expect fish fingers to be!

Lovely decor and drinks but not so great food, came for lunch with my partner and two friends, half the dishes were fine but both my boyfriend and I ordered steak cooked medium rare. Mine was ok, more medium than medium rare but not worth complaining about however, my boyfriends was basically well done. Complained and offered a replacement which was also not cooked properly! 2nd steak overcooked, the waitress stayed to watch us cut into it to see if it was cooked correctly, it wasnt! She was very nonchalant and left us with the incorrect steak, my boyfriend tried to eat it but couldnt. To be fair the waitress was happy to refund the meal but told us that she told the chef who claimed it was cooked perfectly... Not horrendous all in all but could do with a new chef.

Serves amazing cocktails always 241 which are brilliant value for money. Mondays 50% off food and drinks also which is great for money. A very fun atmosphere with great staff who deliver good customer service.

Popped in today with two friends and ended up spending 3 hours chatting and eating, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was fabulous. Out the back is a pay and display car park that you get a refund off your bill and you walk through a picturesque beer garden to the back entrance. We were very pleasantly surprised at the table serviced received as we presumed we would have to go to the bar. Adam who dealt with us was very pleasant, chatty, gave good advice on choice of food and made sure we had enough drinks etc. I would recommend the burger with Camembert and cream mushroom to try and because it was a Tuesday this was on a special offer that included a drink for a set price. Toilets were clean and well presented. Well worth the visit and can’t wait till summer to sit outside too.

Went in for an early evening meal. First time in the S&L.; Guy behind the bar (maybe the manager) was really helpful. Helped me choose a pint of Brewdog IPA. First impressions good then.

We booked here for my sister's 30th birthday lunch party on new years eve. We were given the space at the side as there was nearly 40 of us including children which was perfect 4 us all. Adam and the lady waitress were excellent. Food was excellent. We were really happy and impressed over all with the whole day. Would definitely book again. Only 1 thing that was disappointing was when I booked I was told the half price happy Monday would not be available as it was new year so I got deposits off most ppl for the buffet option but then on the day we were there the half price happy Monday was available which some ppl would have preferred instead of the buffet. Although the buffet option is great and plentiful and came out perfect. Over all great place to eat will be back! thanku

Been many times, food and staff are excellent. Manager very welcoming and warm, special deals are also very good! We had a happy Monday deal- everything on menu was half price. Definitely recommend! Tapas is great too. We have three vegetarians in the house and quite a good selection of food to choose from on the menu.
