Had breakfast here twice. Very nice full English breakfast, very reasonable price and quick service. My review would have been excellent but the cafe seating area needs cleaning (dusty and dirty round the counter and skirting under the windows) and a small overcharge on the 2nd visit. With a bit of attention to the little details this place would be even better.

Regular visitors to The QUAY, breakfast, lunch, dinner, steak night, just us two or with friends, food always excellent, service excellent, staff friendly and helpful, but……………it is always freezing in there, appreciate steak night need the ventilation to clear the smog, but our last 4 visits it has been uncomfortably cold, sitting with numerous layers, coat etc on and still shivering kinda takes the edge off things.

Well, I have read most of the reviews on the Salt Pig in Swanage, and must say that unfortunately they must have been having a bad day. My wife and I did not have a great experience of the food; we ordered lasagne with a side order of carrots and cauliflower cheese, it was so disappointing. Firstly, the food was barely warm, the lasagne had very little taste with hardly any meat in it. The cauliflower cheese, well! I can only describe it as a mixed vegetable concoction, with no cheese or taste to it at all. The serving staff however, were friendly and attentive, the young gentleman server actually went out of his way to help an elderly gentleman who was visually impaired. Total respect to him.

Cosy little coffee shop to shelter from some showers on a cool June day. We ordered the Dorset Cream Tea, which was more than ample to keep us going on the climb to the castle. Staff were friendly and service was great. The only shame was the fact that they used Cornish cream not Dorset!! While having my tea my wife picked up on a couple speaking Afrikaans near bye. They were also trying to keep out of the "cold". Before we arrived in the UK there was a forcast for a heatwave. However a heatwave in the UK of 25 degrees is just a normal spring day for us. All of us got caught out and need warmer cloths. In fact we spent a number of weeks in the UK and it was the coldest June we could remember. Definitely would recommend this cafe if you are in Corfe either a stop before or after you have visited the castle.

Visited this pub to celebrate my brother's birthday. Being mid-week and off-season, the pub was quite quiet. There were four of us, My brother and sister-in-law, my wife and myself and we chose a table in the airy conservatory. We all chose different mains off the menu, which all arrived promptly, and we're delicious. Being pancake day we asked if there were pancake available for dessert as they weren't on the menu. After enquiring from the chef, we were all able to order pancakes with a variety of different dressings. The service was excellent. All in all, an excellent experience, which I would happily recommend.

We had the most wonderful welcome here, both us and our cockapoo! They made such a fuss of us....so friendly! Aside from the usual (and very tempting), a La Carte menu was the midweek carvery, so we opted for that. On reflection, deciding on the large carvery might have been a mistake as we are now in a deliriously cotent meat coma 🤣 The atmosphere was lovely, a happy mix of visitors, locals, and residents. Such a great experience in all areas. I'm really happy we found this place. Sadly, we found it on the last night of our holiday. Otherwise, we'd have been back!

I came in here by accident while walking in the area. As I'd been going quite a way, I wanted to warm up and treat myself. Although staff told me that one room was heated and suggested I sit there, I still had to keep my coat on as they kept leaving the door to the front open, and it was cold! The cooked breakfast was so-so overall but not evenly cooked. The advertised fried bread was 2 large slabs of bread fried on one side, and the other side was greasy but not crispy. So it was neither bread nor toast and certainly not fried bread and was just unpleasant. The pot of tea had one tired teabag, barely flavouring the water (despite extensive steeping). I would have called attention to it , but nobody checked in, and my original server didn't show up again at all. I just left what I couldn't eat and paid at the till.
