Cleaned table ourselves as dirty. Nice day so outside area was busy. Ordered 2 coffees but they never came despite other table who arrived after us were served both food and drinks. Chased up but got fed up with waiting so asked for our money back and left. As a frequent visitor to the old Dylans, which we loved - won't come back here again. We enjoy coffee everyday and having travelled extensively around Devon, Somerset and Dorset in the the previous weeks, this was THE most expensive coffees we did not have the privilege of drinking. (£4 each) and the worst service.

We are regular visitors to the Seventh Wave restaurant. The food, large fish and chips was as good as ever. The fish was haddock in a lovely batters with good chips as well. The service was good and very friendly and the meals nice and hot. All in all the standard of this unpretentious restaurant remains very high. There are many restaurants that would do well to come here and see how it should be done. Another point is that they do not add a service charge on the bill. There is a tip jar on the counter and if you do come here then please consider using it.

Had breakfast here twice. Very nice full English breakfast, very reasonable price and quick service. My review would have been excellent but the cafe seating area needs cleaning (dusty and dirty round the counter and skirting under the windows) and a small overcharge on the 2nd visit. With a bit of attention to the little details this place would be even better.

I went to this beautiful spot with my mum on a lovely spring day. The view down to the river from the terrace is stunning, and is very tranquil. The food surpassed my (and mum's) expectations. I had a lovely fish soup, and sea bream, with vegetable tagliatelle, saffron potatoes and pea veloute. Mum had wasabi cured trout with dorset crab, followed by dover sole (with more crab!), the latter of which she said was one of the best dishes that she has ever had, and she's been fortunate enough to eat in a fair few top restaurants. When it came to dessert, I ordered the cheese and rather than bring the cheese trolley out onto the terrace they gave me small pieces of all eight cheeses. Which worked for them, as the table behind us promptly ordered the cheese. Cris and Ajay were attentive, (without being all over you) and genuinely wanted you to enjoy yourselves. All in all an experience I intend to repeat.

Great spot to stay to break the journey down to Cornwall. The room was clean and had everything we needed - thank you for being so understanding and giving us a ground floor room. The reception staff were kind and professional, the restaurant was bright and cheerful with good choices of supper meals and prompt friendly service. Breakfast was very good - a wide variety of continental style items, presented well with replenished often.

Beautiful pub, cozy, friendly and olde worldly, staff are very welcoming, service was excellent, drinks came promptly while we perused the menu. We had a mixture of starters, pil pil prawns, moules, haloumi sticks and breads, all fabulous! Fish pie was tasty, lovely sauce and packed with fish, the burgers, brisket and chicken were huge and very filling! Absolutely lovely afternoon and good value for money, well done James, Emma and Sam, keep up the good work!!

Thank you so much for helping my disabled husband when he was there for a cup of tea. You were very kind and helpful. You went above and beyond what was expected for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Perfect location to enjoy a cup of tea too, looking up at the castle in sheltered sunshine.

I have given this restaurant several chances since the new management took over my experience has been extremely mixed, a couple of times the food as been really good, sadly some others not so much, cold carvery, vegatables that looked like they had been sat there all afternoon, tonight we went for a cavery, ( The last one was great) immediately told only two meats as they had run out of one, ok it happens, went to look at the vegetables and everything looked grey, so decided to order off the main menu, no fish and chips ,a pub basic, this is also the third time we have visited and they do have fish and chips, very limited dishes available from the main menu, we had taken friends so was dissapointed. We did notice that they refreshed the carvery vegetables after we ordered from the main menu, this was after 7pm, they stop serving at 8. 3 of the main meals were ok one was dissapointing ,management didn't want to know, we always give honest feedback, my advice , its a bit of a lottery incosistant quality sadly we decided not to return.

Visited today for the first time to eat, only having visited prior to this for the garden centre years ago. Really enjoyed our meals of scampi and chips and quiche and chips. The chips are lovely and chunky, the little chopped salad lovely and crisp and tasty. Scampi very nice too. Had a try of hubbys quiche, which was very tasty too. Good sized cappuccino each too. The staff were really friendly and are a good team, who seemed to enjoy their work. We also used the farm shop for some treats, and the other shops for a new watering can, and a birthday card for our daughter. Will certainly return and hope to visit to do the walk round the grounds. All in all, a good few hours spent.
