wWe stayed here for 2 x nights B&B to attend my nephew's wedding. The breakfasts we had on the 2 x mornings we stayed was excellent, and the dinner provided by the Chef and the 2 x waitresses the evening of the wedding was as equally outstanding, I can see why people travel to this place for their evening meals and Sunday dinner, I would highly, highly recommend this hotel and the Bistro.

Fantastic coffee and pastries set us up for our walk along the coastal path. Didn’t have time to return for ice cream sadly.

We went on Tuesday lunchtime for the £10 specials , and took my parents with us. Myself and my mum had the fish and chips . The fish was cooked beautifully, big flakes of fish , the chips homemade and homemade mushy peas , we could fault it. My husband and dad both had the cottage pie , both said it was amazing , for £10 the portions are very generous. Yes it was quiet in there as someone previously stated , we didn’t find it lacked atmosphere !! In fact the staff were wonderful and very helpful and friendly . Perfect food in a perfect setting with the most spectacular views , what more could you want ?

We booked to go here because they had advertised live music so we thought we would go along and eat first. Unless you are booked in the room where the singer is (tucked away in the corner) you have no chance of seeing or hearing a thing. The pub has 3 sections, I think a lot of people were disappointed that they could not see the singer or hear the music. On finishing our meal we thought we could go into the other room, but this was impossible as all the tables will still taken (after finishing their meals they stayed at the tables - I dont blame them) and there was a small area to stand but like I said she was tucked away in the corner and it was uncomfortable. The food was not good. The scallops were great but served up on ice cold plates. I ordered the leek and caramelised onion risotto which was terrible. It came with a prawns head sticking out (not sure why that was there as the rest of the prawn wasn't!) and there was 3 huge chucks of raw leek on the top. The onions were more pickled onion than caramelised. I could not eat it as the risotto itself was tasteless. None of us would go back again. It was very expensive for average food and in my case awful.

Once again , a fabulous Sunday Lunch - a lot of attention to detail with the sides ( mashed parsnip, parsnip curls , lots of variety with veg) - brilliant

Great little pub, decent beer. Didn’t have food here. It’s shame that the open fires were not in use.

I stay in a lot of hotels as I work on the road, but I've not reviewed a single one. This place was special. First off, the rooms are clean, beds are comfy, amenities are good, WiFi is great! You get more than what you pay for, which isn't alot might I add! But the single best thing and the Bells, is the people. The Landlady Kirtsy and even the other patrons were all simply lovely people. Literally offered me the food off of their table. Best service I've ever received while staying anywhere. If the world were full of people such as Kirtsy it'd be a brighter place! If I'm ever down this way again, I wouldn't hesitate to book a room. Top marks.
