Lovely Strawberry Berryfields Cream Tea. Great start to our 5 day visit. As good as it looks!. We always come here at least once per holiday, yum!.

This place is a gem and worth the trip out to Porthcothan. Food and service are excellent. The strawberry cream tea is possibly the best in Cornwall.

What an amazing place, family run & such a lovely welcome. Had the cream tea with strawberry's the home baked scones were warm & delicious. Just can't believe we have not found this place before. Will definitely be going back.

We walked here from mother Ivey's Bay to try the Cornish cream tea, it's the nicest cream tea we've ever had, myself and my daughter are Coeliac, the gluten free scones were absolutely delicious, we didn't need to pre order. Thanks so much for supplying gf options, we'll be back again and again.

After many years, I have finally stopped in at Berryfields and am so pleased I did. The cream tea was great and probably the best scones in the region - fresh, light, fluffy. Coffee was top notch too. We sat outside with our dog; the tearoom itself is beautifully decorated. What really stood out was the very friendly welcome from all staff including the owner. We’ll definitely be back.

Best cream tea we have ever had anywhere! The staff were incredibly friendly and we had a nice chat with the owner. Dog friendly as well, an added bonus, however if you don’t like dogs you can be seated in areas away from them. Delicious scones and the strawberries were to die for.

This is a beautifully quaint tearoom on the outskirts of a holiday park. We had cream teas and they were absolutely delicious. The portion sizes were very generous. Highly recommended.

Superb cream teas. You get much, and it's all beautiful and fresh. It was delicious and well worth the money. My little daughter and mother in law had a brilliant time, too. It's well worth a visit and I strongly recommend a booking in the school holidays. The outdoor seating it particularly lovely on a nice day.

Wow! This is a beautiful location run by a family that makes visitors feel so welcome. We ate outside in a lovely meadow. Most of us got heart-shaped scones, jam and homemade clotted cream and tea. We are still dreaming about this snack. It was perfection! Some in our group also got sandwiches which they said were fantastic. And my husband had the best sundae of his life! Our scones were surrounded by the most beautiful strawberries, grown on the property. There was a playground for my niece and nephew. It was simply a perfect afternoon.

Came for cream tea & a milkshake and it did not disappoint! They catered to the fact we had dogs so allowed us to sit outside with a dog bowl. Ordered a milkshake for while we were there which is not only in a big glass so definitely worth the money but it also tasted incredible. Ordered a cream tea to go and 1 box came with 2 scones, a clotted cream pot, a strawberry jam pot & loads of strawberries. This was more than sufficient for me and my boyfriend and tasted incredible. Although it is on a holiday site, it is positioned fairly close to the entrance so even if you aren't staying with them you can go and dine there. Definitely worth the visit if you're looking for a cream tea in a nice quiet area.

Recently visited with a family of 10 and had a great time! The staff were wonderful and the food was excellent with great options for dietary requirements. The ambiance and location were also lovely and is dog friendly too. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a rainy day as a multi generational family of 6. The lovely Scottish waitress who seated us and took our order was so lovely and welcoming!! We had 2 pasty meals, a jacket potato and cheese, sausage roll with salad, and a cream tea with strawberries. The food, service and drinks were all fabulous! It’s a little gem, tucked out of the way, with great staff and gorgeous grub!

Will always visit whenever we are down south and are never disappointed by the service and the food! Perfect spot to grab lunch and cream teas! Cant recommend it enough!

Oh my god a little piece of heaven do not expect to leave here hungry our snacks for9 people and ranged from scones to soup and pasty all with sides and would normally classed as a meal you will not want for more

First visit of the year and won't be the last. Always visit every time we holiday in Cornwall. Food excellent and staff are so friendly and welcoming. Only problem you will incur is what to choose from the menu as it is all so tasty!

The food was excellent. Had steak pasty which came with a varied salad, including pasta. Also had lovely scones with cream etc. nice atmosphere and staff friendly.

Went with a group of 11 people with reserved tables for lunch. We chose a variety of meals from jacket potatoes to salads. Well presented, great portions and lovely to eat. The service was friendly, efficient and done with a sense of humour - good...

You cannot dispute the quality of the cream tea, the strawberries were lovely and fresh too. A little more jam would have made it perfect.We sat outside as we had a dog. Only criticism was that the table wasnt clean (we had to ask for it to be wiped) and it was spitting with rain so had to eat quickly - perhaps some form of cover over the pegola would be nice as not all tables had umbrellas and they were not big enough to keep you dry anyway.Was surprised we were asked to pay cash by the older waitress as card payments are more covid friendly ? Make of it as you will but would have preferred not taking change.Young staff we very friendly and welcoming - the 2 older ladies were a tad gruff but then it was very busy so may have been busy.All in all would recommend it - presentation was great. After coming on holiday from the IOW and sampling many cream teas we were recommended Berry fields Farm for afternoon tea…. Well what can I say … the staff absolutely lovely very pleasant all smiley and look happy in their work, and as they Delivered our strawberry cream tea you can see that they knew we would love it, how could we not, scrumptious heart shaped fresh warm scones fabulous jam, delicious clotted cream. The best we’ve ever tasted.Thank You Berry Farm 5*

Travelled over an hour specifically to come here and they were unexpectedly closed! I appreciate during these times there may be a need to close last minute but it only takes a minute to post a message on Facebook/Instagram to let people know if you need to close. There were 3 other cars that also arrived and turned around when we did so I imagine a lot of people travelled there unnecessarily.

Stumbled across Berryfields and in a whimdecided to stop for tea… so glad we did! Tea room is adjacent to the campsite and is beautifully kept. Partner even commented on the cleanliness and standard of the men’s loos! We ordered the strawberry cream tea with the famous heart shaped scones… ten minutes of silence followed. Utterly superb. Light scones, beautifully baked. Delicious Clotted cream and strawberry jam. Heaven on a plate.

Always love a lunch at BerryFields - this week we shared a delicious harvester lunch with several thick slices of home cooked ham and a delicious side salad followed by a strawberry tea with BerryFields infamous heart shaped scones.Absolutely delicious as always, can’t recommend this little gem enough.

After a walk on part of the coastal path we were trying to find somewhere for a cream tea. It was late in the afternoon and some cafes were closing but we stumbled across this cafe/ restaurant alongside this campsite. It serves until 5.30pm and provided us with warm, fresh delicious scones. Generously sized too. Fresh strawberries and clotted cream came too with a huge pot of tea. Lots of outdoor seating. Dog friendly. Perfect!

Our second visit and we enjoyed the first one. This time my son ordered the sausage roll but said he didn't want salad as many pre teens don't. So for £5 ish we were presented with an average sausage roll on a bare plate. No offer of some crisps or a drink or anything. Yes he got what was on the menu and ordered by choice but I would have been embarrassed to place that in front of a customer and charge a fiver. Yes times have been hard but come on!!!

We were staying in Porthcothan on holiday. We visited for lunch with my parents and children. We sat outside and had a lovely meal and scones for dessert. Kids enjoyed the milkshakes and we enjoyed the ploughman's lunch. We finished our lunch with scones, jam and cream. Scones were delicious. Excellent meal and great service.

Thought it was going to be too busy however we were immediately offered a place to sit. Perfect cream tea, fabulous fish and Stilton ploughman’s, attentive staff. Thanks, we’ll be back again soon !

We stopped here for lunch after a long walk on the South West Coast Path from Mawgan Porth. We ordered the cheddar ploughman's and the soup of the day (cream of vegetable) which was homemade and delicious. We also ordered a strawberry milkshake and a toasted tea cake which filled us up.The service was very friendly and welcoming. We would love to return and try their strawberry cream tea as they looked delicious!

Went with my parents, really cheerful setting full of well tended flowers. Staff were lovely and welcoming even though we turned up a few minutes before they opened, nothing was too much trouble. We were glad we went early as it soon filled up and I can see why. Both my parents ordered a cream tea one with strawberries, absolutely stunning, lots of fruit, hot homemade scones and jam and cream. Absolutely delicious. My ploughman's was excellent, lovely tasty cheese with a large salad, chutney and warm french bread.Haven't been here for a couple of years but will go back soon. Great food, welcoming staff, everywhere was spotless and the campsite looked great. Thanks for a lovely lunch

Situated in a quiet location, this tea room serves fantastic cream tea and other food including jacket potatoes, sausages rolls, pasties and toasties. Friendly staff, I would highly recommend a visit. Free parking on site.

Lovely place to go for a cream tea or lunch. Very welcoming and friendly staff that kept making sure everything was ok and if you needed anything etc. We had a problem trying to get through via phone all day, as we wanted to check if they had indoor seating before we got there as it was raining. We chanced it and when we got there we found it has indoor and outdoor seating; where dogs are also allowed in both if you want to take your pooch. They even had dog water bowls (cute touch). Toilet facilities available and a nice selection on the menu. Couldn’t fault it other than not being able to get in touch with anyone prior to going. It also has a gift shop, however was shut when we went. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely strawberry cream team on a warm sunny day in September. Service good. Lovely classic tea set. We had one strawberry cream tea between two of us with an extra drink and it was more than enough. One plain scone and one fruit scone so we had half of each one each. Lots of fresh strawberry’s and more than enough cream and jam. Very fresh. Sat outside with the dog. Would definitely recommend

Found this lovely place by accident, it’s just off the main road through Porthcothan. Lovely outside seating area for the warm days and inside area when it’s colder. Very good distance between tables inside with visible hand sanitizer. The limited menu has decent savoury options and of course the lovely cream teas that they are famous for. The staff and owner are really friendly and make you feel very welcome. Would highly recommend a visit such a shame that it’s closing soon but will definitely visit next year.

I found this cafe in my trusted book "Best cream tea's in cornwall" and wow what a treat. We realised as soon as we arrived that this was a place for locals but saying that by the time we left we felt like we were locals too. The waitress explained that due to covid they were running a reduced menu. There appeared however to be a good selection of pies pastys, sandwiches and baked potatoes; as well as sweet treats such a scones and various cakes and bakes. My husband asked how the strawberry tea differed from the afternoon tea. We were told that they both had a plain and fruit scone with a generous amount of homemade jam and clotted cream but in addition the strawberry tea included copious amonts of strawberrys. We later found out that these are all home grown as were the tomatoes . We asked if we could have extra strawberrys. We wre advised that they could provide an extra bowl and boy were these the best strawberrys that I've tasted since I visited the strawberry farm in Guernsey in 1990. I always find that the highest accolade is when the staff and owners eat in an establishment and as the other customers were also eating the afternoon tea it was good to see that the pastys and salad were also excellently executed. We discovered that two of the other customers owned caravans on the farm and another had moved into the area 16 years ago and had been coming regularly for about 10 years. The current owner had rebuilt most of the building and obviously invested a lot of time, hard work and love into making it work and it definitely shows. We loved the fact that the scones not only look great but taste fantastic too,extremely light and not overly sweet. I've never thought of making heart shaped scnes before but there is nothing not to love about these treats. If we liked one by think we'd be visiting everyday. Excellent staff, excellent service and exquisite food!

We absolutely loved all aspects of Berryfields.Clean, good facilities and quiet campsite. No views as such, but you could hear the sea at night. Beautiful big starry skies at night, very little light pollution. A gentle atmosphere with very friendly staff - owner Chris and his hardworking crew. All absolutely brilliant.

We were coming down to Cornwall to our holiday home and we stay about 8 times a year. We have never come across this place before but now we will be visiting more regularly. When we arrived the friendly staff took our order fresh food smaller menu due to covid but was very tasty and fresh. We were about to ask for our bill when we saw a strawberry cream tea come out so we decided to stay and glad we had it was the best cream tea we had ever had in Cornwall. Would highly recommend this place they have covid safety in place that means alot to us when visiting places. 10/10 see you soon

Visited after other TripAdvisor reviews recommended the strawberry cream tea which was amazing & well worth the visit. It is a bit pricey at £8.50 but not unusual for Cornwall & a lovely treat to celebrate a special occasion.2 homemade heart shaped scones,very fresh,lots of jam & clotted cream and generous portion of strawberries, plus tea served in a china teaset.

On holiday in Cornwall and we were looking for a good place for a cream tea! Looked for well reviewed places in the area and found Berryfields. The reviews were not wrong, possibly one of the best cream teas we’ve ever had. The service is good, food comes out really quick and everything in place for Covid.

We went here for a cream tea based on other people’s comments, we thought they might be exaggerating - not the case - this is five star, it should have a Michelin Star! It’s all been said in previous reviews, but I have to reiterate that the scones, homemade jams and fresh strawberries were a delight Didn’t need much dinner that evening!

My husband had a cream tea which wasn't up to normal standards as smaller portions compared to previous visits and the scone wasn't fresh and had fruit in it where as it should be plain scones. My toasted teacake was very good along with our drinks. Please don't scimp on quantities as you have always been so good and we like to visit your establishment on our visits :-)

We stopped here for the cream tea, as excellent reviews on TA. We were not disappointed, excellent scones and a lovely pot of tea with China cups (so many establishments seem to use covid to shy away from proper cups). Reasonably nice setting but no fantastic views.

Discovered this place whilst driving back to Newquay. Wow the strawberry cream tea was immense and the milkshakes were amazing too. The staff were 5/5 so professional and ever so polite and the outside seating was so clean and tidy and there is such a nice vibe about the place. 100% on our come back again list.

Went here last year and it was delightful and great value. Sadly , last week we visited and it was excellent service but, not such good value. The basic limited CV19 menu is ok but, my daughter ordered the sausage roll which at £5 seemed a lot. Being a child she declined the salad but to be presented with a basic standard sausage roll on a plate for a fiver seemed a bit unreasonable. Even with the salad that came with our other meals, it was expensive. The rest of our food was OK and although edging towards pricey all in , it was acceptable. Come on tram Berryfields! You can and have done better!

This was our first visit, even though we holiday in Cornwall nearly every year. We sat outside, the tables were nicely spaced out. Lovely setting. Friendly staff, full PPE worn. It was relaxed, reassuring and delicious. We will definitely be going there again and I highly recommend their cream tea.

Visited here whilst on holiday in Cornwall. It is pretty much on the coast road and would highly recommend a small detour to visit and have a the cream tea!The staff were friendly and attentive and they had well spaced out tables, due to COVID-19. There is also a caravan park on site, which although we were not staying on site, looks very clean and well spaced out.My only negative comment would be the children’s play area and the crazy golf, which wouldn’t cost loads to get it looking nice again and as it’s right where you park up coming in, could potentially give you a bad first impression.Thanks guys for a lovely meal though.

Just off the beach at Porthcurno this family run establishment has a reduced menu due to Covid crisis, but still one of the best strawberry cream teas you'll find. Freshly made scones, local clotted cream and home made jam. We walk the coastal path to visit every year. Just perfect.

Arrived at 12:20 to be greeted by the lovely owners of the restaurant. Beautiful alfresco seating area and lunch was light fluffy and felt very Covid-19 safe with staff wearing visors and cleaning the table after each customer has left. Definitely would recommend and go back.

Stumbled across this great place today. Lovely and clean. Very friendly staff possibly the owners? Wasn't sure. Food was fantastic and my partner said it was the best ploughman's he's had. We always stay in Porthcothan when we come to Cornwall & our vacation isn’t complete without a trip to berry fields for their famous cream teas!! The scones are always fresh out of the oven & they’re served with generous servings of jam & cream. The staff are so friendly too! I can’t wait for the next visit!!

Very pretty and very clean. Without doubt the best (not just one of) cream teas in Cornwall home made, lots of and served beautifully on pretty china. Lots of other scummy food on the menu from huge breakfast to snack all served by friendly, smiling staff. There is also a holiday park which, apart from the badly designed small, noisy, coin operated showers is very clean, tidy and well laid out. Lots of lovely cliff and beach walks in a quiet beautiful location . Looking forward to returning many more times
