Went here with no real expectations other than we were looking for something above pub grub. We were very impressed with the inside of the restaurant which was very nicely decorated giving a nice atmosphere. what was the greatest part of the evening was the food, beautifully present and most importantly extremely tasty. I do not often have three courses but could not resist the deserts and these did not disappoint. This restaurant is a hidden gem and we will certainly return. The menu only has 4 or 5 choices of each course, but this allows the chef to cook fresh and spend time on each course, which reaps rewards on freshness and taste. If I had the smallest of observation, perhaps the waiting staff could be a little more engaging, but I know this is a fine line to tread, you have a good enough restaurant to compete with the very best, so perhaps introducing yourself to the guest might be a nice little touch in welcoming guests. Each course was describe to us upon placing in front of us. Great place and would not hesitate going back and recommending which already have done. Thank you Asquith's

Another brilliant shopping experience with Suzette. She helped me find an outfit for a wedding, the perfect top to go with a sequin skirt and a lovely summer dress for every day. Wish I had a daughter to send to the prom as I would definitely buy a dress from there for her.

Unfortunately there are no toilet facilities here. The public toilets are locked at this time of year and the car park toilets were flooded and unusable. We went in to order as the selection seemed OK but did not stay as we had to go to the only open pub to use their toilets and stayed in there! Please sort your toilet situation out Polruan.

I was on holiday in Mixtow with my mum and decided to treat her to a Sunday Roast for Mother's Day. I stayed at the Old Ferry Inn a couple of years ago, thoroughly enjoyed it and wanted to return. Generous portion sizes, friendly and attentive staff, spectacular views of the estuary and dog friendly. Seeing Archie again was definitely the highlight. Will return.

Being in Cornwall and my wife is an avid royal fan we had to visit. Great Nursery with a wide variety of plants, shrubs and flowers. Spent about 30 minutes walking around. There are also some great views over the Cornish countryside. The Nursery also has a good shop which caters for many tastes, fromm books to homeware. Having walked around here we then went for Coffee. Managed to find a table in Orangery. We are not used to the counter service, but once discovered the Staff were extremely helpful. Our coffee and cake was delivered speedily by a friendly waitron. We really enjoyed our hour visit as this is not like Nurseries near our home.

We stayed for 1 night in January 2025. We were disappointed with our stay. Breakfast & food in the evening were average. The real let down was the room. On arrival we were told that the heating was on a timer, it was not on when we arrived neither in the morning when we got up, making the room cold. The shower unit was coming away from the wall and door coming off it's hinges. When you did get in there, no water pressure. We did mention the shower when we left and were told they knew of the problem but it had not been fixed?

Stopped in the stores for a flat white and brownie and both very nice. Very helpful server who also gave us directions to Tivoli Fountain and gardens. Beautiful, peaceful waterside village with picnic table and FREE parking. That's a first for Cornwall.

Great little side street pub, with cheerful staff. We took our kids in hoping food might be available, but not expecting it as it was 8pm on a Monday in winter. Not a problem! There were pub classics on offer at a fair price. We ordered chicken wings, fish and chips & ham, egg and chips. All food hit the spot and the local ale was great too. We returned for drinks on another night and the locals indulged our 10 year old with several games of darts which really made his day.
