Our first visit to Lumiere and the food was superb, with a delicate blend of flavours. We particularly enjoyed the smoked eel and the duck and the presentation of every course was beautifully executed. Unfortunately however, the ambience and service were all somewhat underwhelming. Granted, the evening didn’t start well. Having said that I would probably order a G&T at some point, it was a surprise when one arrived without asking which gin I would like. I politely declined and said that I preferred a flavoured one, expecting that the drinks menu, given to the adjacent table would be offered. Instead a second G&T was served, again without explaining the varieties available. It seems that the message given to the gentleman on bar service was that I asked for a fruit based gin, not flavoured as I had requested, so he chose the only fruit based one served. This seemed to set the tone for the evening, where the service was friendly and polite but not as polished as in other Michelin starred restaurants we have visited.

I chose this restaurant as it looked lovely and the reviews I read were mostly positive. We met friends for lunch and had a good table, good service but the food was just average, nothing to rave about. The bill came to a whopping £211 with an optional service charge of 12.5% on top. I chose to leave a 11.% tip rounding up to the nearest round figure, which I felt was fair. As we were leaving, I was chased by the waitress to say that I hadn't left the full tip! Wow, when it is an optional service charge, surely it is my prerogative to leave a tip that I am comfortable with? I was embarrasssed and very disappointed to be accosted in this manner in front of my friends (I was paying for lunch). I would not return for that reason. We had a very,good experience at this restaurant with friends on our second night in Cheltenham.The Soho bar were very welcoming and offered a good menu and drinks choice.The staff were very professional and looked after us throughout our stay.It was very much pub food but very tasty .

the food itself is lovely , when it actually arrives. on two occasions now they have missed items from my order. how can you forget to add the chips to fish and chips. when there's so much competition in cheltenham i would of thought Charles would step up, considering how long they've been in the area. safe to say i won't be ordering from them again.

Just watch the Super Bowl at this venue great service, excellent food and was enjoyed by the while of our group. Plenty of screens, sound on and great selection of draught, spirits and food

We rented a cottage for the week and were really happy to see this pub at an easy walking distance, so we booked our first meal, Sunday roast, a month in advance. Not knowing the place, we kindly asked a table close to the fire, as it is February and I run cold. Once we arrived, it took a good 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, and were then sent to a tiny separate freezing space. The window in the room was broken, and it was truly freezing. We ordered the roast, my husband is vegan, which we advised at the time of booking, and they still tried to deter us from ordering the only vegan option as 'it takes about 25 mins'. Whilst we were waiting I asked if we could be moved, due to the very cold spot, and was just offered another spot in another window, when I said "we asked to be by the fire, I understand that may not always be possible, but is there anything warmer?" I was just told "no" with an annoyed face. The food was OK, my meat was cold but the cauliflower (ordered separately) was actually nice. But I would not bother going back even though we are here for the rest of the week. Could and would definitely not recommend it. It's the cotswolds, and you can surely find a better place.

More of a bar than a cafe. Poor choice of “snack” type dishes! Pretty much none existent. Very nice outside garden / courtyard area. Coffee is decent and competitively priced.

First time I've been to Huffkins. Won't be in any hurry to go back, We only went in for a drink and cake. Victoria slice was average and the hot chocolate was the weakest we've ever had anywhere.
