SuperBowl Wish I could give a higher rating, Amazing food unbelievable atmosphere the staff were so friendly and accommodating, Especially Tommy who personally oversaw my booking, I cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Game was brilliant and the wings were stunning beers are class and atmosphere is electric

Just watch the Super Bowl at this venue great service, excellent food and was enjoyed by the while of our group. Plenty of screens, sound on and great selection of draught, spirits and food

WHAT A ROAST :), never come in for a roast before, but the whole plate was AMAZING, really enjoyed the atmosphere a lot different to the classic Sunday roast pub (no snooze music), we will definitely be returning

Nice and cosy vibe to escape from the rain, had the Sunday roast which was amazing, plus football on the TV right in front of where we were sat. Definitely be back

We had a lovely roast here at the weekend. Service was great and food was delicious. The beef was perfectly cooked, gravy was delicious and the cauli cheese was so flavoursome. Great that you can also watch the football in here too!

Visited during a walk through Cheltenham with friends and decided to stay for a drink. They have a wonderful selection of alcohol free drinks and the staff were very informative. Courtney was great in making recommendations and seemed so happy to help us. Will definitely be returning in the future!

This is a fantastic spot for a relaxed pub experience. We visited for a few drinks. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a great mix of classic pub charm and modern touches. The staff were friendly and attentive, made us feel welcome.

Walking through cheltenham and chose to go in for a beer and some dinner. Lovely atmosphere and ambience with a variety of different beers on tap and the food was quick, great quality and tasted amazing would strongly advise if your ever in the area.

A quality Venue in Cheltenham which seems to have only improved since its refurbishment in the summer. Plenty of screens for live sports and live music on weekends make for a good atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and look like they enjoy working there which makes a big difference. Decent selection of beers available and food menu has plenty of variety to choose from.

Pleasant ambience, good music (80s). Staff were very attentive and pleasant. Food was excellent. I had the pork belly and hubby had chicken and bacon burger.

We went on 10th Jan 2025 lunch. The service was terrible, absolutely no atmosphere. The staff were, miserable, we had the impression the staff couldn’t care less. When we asked for the bill we had to go to the bar to pay, with a wave??!!

Terrible place, staff are rude and unhelpful. They also shut when they want with no warnings.

We paid £17 for a chicken burger and chips. Which is already expensive! When it was served, the burger was tiny with barely any chicken in. Disappointing, especially for £17 . We won’t be going there again.

Amazing live music sat night. Issues with Sunday dinner were resolved quickly with great professionalism. Couldn't have asked for more to compensate than full cash refund & wine & deserts on the house. Brunette waitress was extremely apologetic & courteous, really good at her job. Thank you for looking after us so well & for not letting a kitchen issue ruin our experience. Pork roast was insanely good 👌🏼

Used to like this place. Then they got a refurb, and now it's £6.80 for a Peroni. Won't be going back again. This is Cheltenham, not London.

Lively location especially on race days with many television screens going. Food ok bar snack and bites, price midrange. Great night 12th September open again after refurb, lovely evening with band playing, free beer and wine, open again so come on down.

Visited harry cooks last night (Monday) to see the refurbishment it looks incredible. Staff was as friendly as ever was served by Jordan. Will be back very soon for food

this bar is in a fabulous position and the staff were friendly but oh dear the food was truly dreadful, it calamari was straight from the freezer and flabby and grey, the nachos had something orange on top which I assume was a type of soft cheese that possibly came out of a tube, it was really hard to tell it tasted so bad it was impossible to eat

£28.00 for 2 wines and a small tub of nibbles. Rip off!

Occassionally in Cheltenham and this is a Great find. Food is good, as you would expect from somewhere towards the upper end of the M&B range of pubs. Staff are really helpful and there is a nice buzz even on a Monday night. The locals obviously know where to come.

You have the best fish and chips around. The old mushy pea recipe was better though. I like that you have more beer choices and usually have a guest beer. I get tired of the same IPAs, Pilsners, etc. It's also nice to have an alternative to Guiness for a dark beer too. We'd come more often if you started your Tuesday burger special again.

Have been here a couple of times now when visiting friends. The food was delicious, chicken schnitzel the best I’ve had outside of Germany. Dirty fries amazing, beef brisket melting in mouth. Also tried buffalo cauliflower… delicious. Staff are really welcoming & helpful. Staff member Leo very knowledgeable on drinks & made my dining experience with family and friends really relaxing and enjoyable.

Best pub in cheltenham! Great food great team great beer! Our go to place for any celebration with the team! Really good for sport too if that’s your thing but their live bands on the weekend sets this place apart from the rest!

Truly the best burgers we've ever had, We had the Boss x2 Pay day fries x2 and nachos x2. Could not have been better, really cannot understand why this Estb is only rated 4,5. This restuarant far exceeds all expectations, even arriving perfectly packaged and hot. Advice forget all others when your looking for the best The Harry Cook Freehouse is it. Had a bad day go to Harry, celebrating go to Harry. I am sincere, it cannot be faulted and is worth every penny. Thank You Harry Cook.

We go to Harry Cooks because my husband likes their Landlord beer! But uts also a nice regular pub too. Haven't eaten there but the food does look good and seems good value.

We always have a great time at Harry Cooks, excellent atmosphere and music. The taps change regularly, but Charlie behind the bar always has a great recommendation and excellent knowledge. Highly recommend.

Charlie on the bar is amazing, so fast and precise. An incredibly talented barman, he makes pouring drinks look as easy as breathing is to most. A true virtuoso of his craft. He's incredibly cool, handsome and daringly witty. Men want to be him and.... well women want to be him too, because of equality and stuff. All in all, a great experience.

Had a really nice meal here and some drinks with friends. The menu has lots of options and really well priced. A staff member Charlie suggested halloumi fries and cauliflower wings as I am a veggie and was a great host to us.

Is this Cheltenham‘s most expensive pub?? I think it could be. How can you charge £6.15 for a basic 4% lager, that is extortion. Don’t expect any change from £30 for a typical round of 4 drinks in this place.

A really welcoming and warm retreat from the freezing cold weather. Great for a mid week wine. My wine was perfect and the prices aren't silly like so many bars now.

The food here is usually good,but unfortunately what I received was not good at all. The burger was very dry and had an odd,sweet flavour. I ended up not eating more than two bites. The millionaire fries weren’t as tasty as usual,and the sauce also had that weird sweet taste,which was concerning. The tots were good,though the gravy pot spilled.

Again and yet again! Order was ready on time but not collected by driver for 30+ minutes so when it arrived it was stone cold. Just eat is USELESS.

I'm warming to this pub. Average on my first visit but now its a regular pit stop. I ate there for the first time in November. It was very good value (burger, fries, and a glass of wine for £12). Definitely worth a visit.

Chicken tenders are smaller than before and I was not asked what sauces, I wanted.
