Excellent cafe with lovely staff and owner

What a great little cafe.I remembered how good it was from last year.So we went back again when we were in town. Great home cooked food at very reasonable prices.The liver & bacon was so good.The rest of the food served was spot on.The cafe is run by a great couple.Which made for a good family meal. One thing for sure we Willie back to eat.Next time we are in Dymchurch. Give it a go.Its worth it.

What a lovely lovely place ! The atmosphere was 10/10 and cosy room and decor makes the place ! The service was beautiful and the girls working were very friendly! The food was outstanding. They made my birthday dinner beautifully ! Highly highly recommend! The scallops were incredible 👌🏼

The bistro was shut for a while, now they are back and it is worth coming to pay a visit.

Amazing people doing amazing stuff

A really very high quality experience. The owners have ensured that everything needed is available, and that there is plenty of space for different groups to use different rooms. All rooms are ensuite, and extra loos on ground and first floor. After the restoration, the place has been wonderfully furnished. Breakfasts were provided and were lovely.

I rarely write reviews as they are subjective - an individual's feeling from their own frame of reference. Everyone experiences moments in different ways. However, on this occasion I can't keep quiet and I'm right! Annette and Paul have created an absolutely wonderful place to eat, stay and relax. Phenomenal food, a lovely room and incredible service by everyone we met, all set in the peaceful village of Whitsbury. A special stay and one that will stay in the memory for a very long time. Well this is the best restaurant we have been to this year, the only place we could compare it with is the Lobster Grill in Fort Lauderdale Florida , everything was perfect , great food , wonderful staff and a greeting from the owner when we arrived , the lobster was cooked to perfection , A great wine list with some new world wines and French favourites our group of four had a great time .

We live a long way from The Greyhound but have visited several times over the last few years. It feels like such a loved place, by the owners and the customers. And so it should be. A warm welcome awaits with a beautiful, comfortable, and inviting interior which is also very dog friendly. And of course, exceptional food. We had the incredible Korean chicken to start, enormous portions, fantastic kick and so nice that it's all such fresh ingredients and home made. Mains of lamb and a burger put other places we've eaten recently to shame. And the service is delightful. You feel like a welcome old friend but the service is professional and unobtrusive. The Greyhound is a little diamond. Nothing we could fault at all and so wish we had something similar nearby. Lovely people, place and perfect food. A rare find.

My daughter chose to come here for a roast to celebrate her birthday having seen a great review on instagram. My sister and brother inlaw who were visiting from Plymouth decided to join us which made it a double celebration as it is her birthday this week too. We were not disappointed the warm welcome we got was lovely. All of our starters were beautiful I had the spiced parsnip soup which was very tasty. The roast dinners were very lovely and a bargain for the quality and amount of food on the plate. I had the posset which was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake and brownie also looked amazing and went down well. I would definitely recommend giving this place a go it was a wonderful meal in a lovely setting.

Lovely tea room at the back of Patcham. We go often for a simple lunch and it’s always perfect with attentive and very considerate service. My old Dad gets very well looked after.

A far cry from a truckers café, this local coffee house offers a cosy seating area with a modest menu. The interior is well decorated. There is a standard selection of hot items with a range of cakes that also cater to vegan requirements. Parking is easily found on the road, or it's a walk away for local residents who tend to come here and socialise in small groups. Prices are what you would expect.
