What a great little cafe.I remembered how good it was from last year.So we went back again when we were in town. Great home cooked food at very reasonable prices.The liver & bacon was so good.The rest of the food served was spot on.The cafe is run by a great couple.Which made for a good family meal. One thing for sure we Willie back to eat.Next time we are in Dymchurch. Give it a go.Its worth it.

Best tasting home cooked food I've ever had at a cafe! The man here cooks everything from fresh, he prepares the, bacon and onion puddings and suet puddings by hand, a long process and secret recipe he tells me, as well as other meals he prepares by hand in advance. Pardon the pun, but the proof is in the pudding (steak n kidney my fave), if you want mass produced tastless food, go to the kebab shop or chippy, if you want good food at a good price and something tasty on your palet, the galley is your watering hole!

Burger was lovely, so were desserts Great owners and service It's just great all round.

I stopped here for dinner whist in town for the afternoon. Nice owners, good priced & tasty food. Just what I needed. I would eat here again.

Had dinner here twice during our stay In Dymchurch and cannot say a bad word about it. Very friendly proprietors, attentive service and good, wholesome food. The choice on the menu is very diverse. The desserts are particularly good. We would definitely recommend this place if you’re spending time in Dymchurch.

Had a delivery of Sunday lunch and pudding today and it was absolutely amazing 😍 So fresh , so hot and tasted even better . Menu is amazing , so much choice . We will absolutely be ordering again . Thank you so much 🙏

Lovely local place with honest friendly people who offer fantastically priced delicious food. My in laws live locally and this is the only place they choose to eat. We get treated every trip. Cottage pie with veg is delicious. Fish n chips are satisfying. Beef lasagna with garlic bread is smaller meal but delicious. 😋

Lovely owners, amazing home cooked food with so much to choose from, good price's. Something for everyone. Eat in absolutely lovely or have it delivered. Only just found the place and I will definitely be back again.

What a great little cafe.Proper food served by nice people .I could have tried so many great meals on the board.Took our little granddaughter with us.She had a great little kids meal.The lady serving made her a great big ice-cream .One very happy little pickle.One thing for sure.When we are down next.Thats where we are going for dinner.Give it a try if you like good home cooked food.You won't regret it.

We have just had a great breakfast cooked to perfection The couple who own the cafe are very friendly and have a good sense of humour. If you are in the area in need of food try this cafe it’s.clean, it’s tidy and does great food. The chef is very qualified and proud of what he puts together. Go on try it you won’t be sorry.

Superb little old school cafe Loads of home made food along with lots of vegetarian options. Service was excellent even down to providing scissors to open the sauce sachets .food was freshly cooked and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Will definitely use again when in Dymchurch

All what you expect to get from a family run restaurant.

Found this little cafe on a quiet road, just a way away from the "main strip" of the seaside, was a bit dubious as was empty, but we were very pleasantly surprised! Food was amazing and good value for money. £1.50 for a children's 2scoop of ice cream, £5.50 for a BLT baguette, which was freshly made, and filled with filling, and with a side salad and crisps. Definitely do not walk past this little place, especially if you're feeling the need for something other then the 'normal' seaside food of fish&chips!

This place is incredible they helped support my food intolerances and food preferences! Top marks to the owners and the chef! The food is amazing!!!!☺️ We will be back!!

Great food well cooked and friendly staff what more could you ask for? The milkshakes are highly recommended by my daughter. The main courses are good size portions and we all loved the food, I personally recommend the steak and kidney pudding which I thoroughly enjoyed. Then there are the desserts. If you loved ice-cream and chocolate then you will love their ice-cream sundaes with various choices of toppings including, maltesers, chocolate buttons or Oreos. One tip make certain to go hungry as to skip dessert is a crime.

You could be forgiven for walking past this place on your way to the beach but you'd miss out. We had a light lunch and couldn't fault the food. The hot chocolate is the best I've had in a long time so if we're ever back that way, I want another!

We only called in for tea, but the menu offering of a full tea was too much to pass up. Really good. My only small issue was the slight dryness of the scones, sandwiches and cakes were excellent.

The Galley serves good food at a good price. Steve and his wife are very welcoming and efficient. I would recommend the Galley as a place to eat in Dymchurch Village.

This is such a warm friendly place, the owners are lovely and the food is very good, definitely if your in Dymchurch and want somewhere nice to ear, this is the place to go.

Went there last week with my wife and found that they had started producing nut cutlets themselves. Home - made nut cutlets - great taste and conistency and beats anything I have ever had elsewhere.

We dropped in as a group of five with a baby in a pushchair. The available tables were reorganised to accommodate us all. Good varied menu, very reasonable prices. The food was cooked beautifully with more than enough to keep you happy. The desserts were homemade and they too, were fantastic. The service was second to none, with a smile. All in all, a very good experience for each and every one of us! We shall be returning customers....

Serves what people would describe as Traditional English food. I thoroughly enjoyed my nut roast, choice of potatoes & veg, all well cooked & presented well. Very good value for money.

If you are in Dymchurch make sure you try the galley cafe just past the two in the high street. Lovely little place. Very friendly husband and wife ran local business. Children friendly and not too expensive. Open 6 days til 8pm.home deliveries as well. You won't be disappointed

We ordered a take away last night, and it was delivered under 20 minutes and the meals were lovely and so filling. If you are unsure what to have, you must go for the cheese omelette, the best I've ever eaten.

Great food friendly atmosphere tight for wheelchair's no toilets. Order over the phone for delivery . Although small problem's still I give 5 star's

The café is across the road from a public car park which is convenient (there is a pedestrian crossing nearby). We had Rib eye steak, chips etc (£12.95) which was very good. Steak pudding, new potatoes & veg which was also very nice. The ice cream deserts were also good. The service was very good and fast.

Popped in for late lunch/early dinner. The fussy 10 year old couldn’t find a meal so the lovely owners said they would do anything she wanted. So cheesy chips, southern coated chicken and beans, she ate the majority of it. The fish and cheesy chips was ample my grandson said it’s the best fish he’s had !! Egg bacon and cheesy chips- huge amount of chips. Mushroom omelet, perfectly cooked that with a jacket potato was very filling. The sundae deserts are big enough to share. This place certainly gives you value for money. The owners are so nice and welcoming. An added bonus is they take cards We’ll definitely be back. 😄 😃 😃

We were just passing by and saw this cafe . Very nice owners with good service . We ordered a burger with chips and coffee which was spot on . Very nice family run business.

Desperate to find somewhere serving non fast food so have this a try. Lovely welcome by the owners, not best food we ever tried but varied menu and we were able to get exactly what we wanted, simple good dinner. This cafe looks a bit dowdy on the outside but is lovely & bright inside. Would eat here again if passing through Dymchurch.

My family and I always use this cafe when we are in this area. Today we were visiting Hythe Venetian Fete so made the short journey on the RH&DR; just to have our brekkie at The Galley Cafe. Very value for money

Traditional cafe nothing fancy, but good value. I had a full English breakfast, which was made with quality ingredients and nicely cooked. The accompanying mug of tea was good and strong. The decor is rather dated and some music or perhaps the radio would be an idea. Very friendly staff.

What a wonderful little restaurant: The couple running it were really friendly , attentive but not intrusive : I have worked in large PLC companies that pay fortunes to teach their staff good " Customer Experience " skills but the owners here need no such lessons : The natural approach always appears honest and genuine whereas the " Course Driven " smile always appears fake :

very glad we chose to eat in this lovely cafe... I am vegetarian and had the choice of several meals, I chose veggie lasagna which came with loads of fresh vegetables, it was lovely.... my brother had steak and kidney pudding also with lots of veg, again well enjoyed... would not think of going elsewhere on our next visit... owners were very friendly, the cafe was very clean and comfortable and nothing is too much trouble

This restaurant has changed hands since we last visited. The old owner was a friendly lady who worked her socks off The new owners are just and friendly and work just as hard to make you feel welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. We took our grandchildren here one is 17 and the other is 9. The big one had a rib eye steak with all the trimmings and polished it off. It was well cooked, he likes his streak rare to medium. Although it was more on the medium side he said it was very tasty and tender. The trimmings that come with it were very plentiful too. The little one had a double cheese burger. Bless her she thought it would be the same size as mcDs. It wasn't it was 3 times the size. The portions are very generous. You won't go hungry. Everything is cool fresh. Desserts are massive the kids shared one. And if you staying and one of the holiday parks they will deliver !! Roast beef, burgers to you door. Now that can't be bad. The prices are very reasonable too.

Wek found this Cafe by googleing cafes in Dymchurch and im so glad that we did. It is run by a lovely couple who cant do enough for you. The food was freshly cooked and really enjoyable. We liked it so much that we went again for dinner the next day.

As good a seaside café as you will find anywhere, food is served up hot at a a fair price and with good humour. Owner makes his own individual Bacon and Onion Puddings, don't leave without trying one - delicious.

The staff here on several occasions have made up a breakfast in a box for us to take away. We have the sat on the beach with it. Lovely..

Pleasant service let down by poor food. Gammon steak almost as thin as a bacon rasher, Batter on cod was dark brown rather than golden, all vegetables with bacon and onion pudding were boiled to a mash, the ham omelette was fine. I'm sorry but this review was the shared experience of four of us.

Old-fashioned and totally delicious English cuisine cooked fresh by a chef who is clearly very proud of his cooking and puts his customers first. The friendly service provided by his wife Midgy makes them a wonderful family team, providing the warmest of welcomes, whatever the weather. We have been to most restaurants and cafes on the Romney Marsh and surrounding areas (including Folkestone and Ashford) and we can say with assurance that the Galley is the best we've been to. We have now been several times. We are happy to recommend The Galley as a totally unique and special.eating establishment.

We had a meal in here on the Friday it was recommended to us by some people we met at the camp. The owners were first class we went there quite late and most things in Dymchurch shut quite early in June. The wine for the price was one of the best I have drunk in a restaurant and was a very pleasant surprise. The meal was a bit of a disappointment my wife's was wonderful, but I had the fish and chips and the fish was frozen which most is nowadays but it should be oven cooked and not deep fried it makes the batted quite hard although the fish was ok when I reached it. We would certainly return and intend to do so. Another plus is that they deliver to New Beach.

By far the best cafe in Dymchurch, and further afield too for that matter. Run by a lovely couple who make everyone welcome, and will always try to accommodate individual requests and preferences. A good, straightforward menu, cooked to order, good kids options too. And an ice cream selection to die for.

It's good decent food, clean and nice people. Open till late so handy if you can't be bothered to cook and don't want a takeaway. Have used a bit recently due to house renovations. Highly recommend.
