The Full English restaurant may be small, but it offers a cozy, familiar atmosphere and serves delicious, generously portioned dishes. Highly recommended!

Orders through just eat, half the order missing, called up to get the rest. After 3 tries of them clearly just leaving the phone got through and they wouldn’t even entertain the thought of sending the rest of the food just said get a refund from just eat and the food we did have was either really over cooked or still half frozen useless customer service would not recommend

Took my young children into full English for breakfast the staff were very accepting of my son eating something not bought from them as he is very picky. Definitely worth the prices on the menu. The atmosphere was as expected it's a nice cafe and good amount of tables inside and out

We were visiting Folkestone for the day and decided to walk up the high street to eat we wanted a good old fashioned cafe and this place fitted the bill,the food is good and the staff are very friendly and it won't cost a fortune like some of the arty farty places nearby.

Had a couple of breakfasts here when I stayed in Folkestone. I should've checked, but they put tinned tomatoes in their Full English breakfast; so the second time, I compiled my own plate. Both times, the fried eggs were a bit hard, so maybe they do them that way on purpose. I prefer them served runny. Overall, the breakfasts are great. Hash browns were outstnding; the small sausages are good, not spammy; mushrooms are cut into tiny bits, but very tasty. Everything hot. A good cup of tea--without teabag in, thank goodness. Staff wonderful. Price good value.

Apart from a random lady who kept trying to talk to me (she seemed pleasant enough) the café is lovely. Nice service, very nice breakfast (I went for the 7 item brekkie). Everyone was chatting and appeared quite happy. Very clean.

An excellent breakfast from friendly and helpful staff

Came here today looking forward to a nice full English breakfast but wasn’t the case since my food arrived full of oil. My eggs were covered in oil like they had been dumped in oil, the bacon was so dry and cold and as for the sausages they were oozing out with oil the beans were cheap and cold. And as for the hash browns they were dry and fried in oil for too long. Furthermore as I went to pay I could see the sausages and the bacon stored in lunch boxes so they weren’t even kept fresh and they were just sitting there for god knows how long. Overall I would not recommend coming here and wasting your hard earned money and time on this oil factory.

Efficient, clean, generous, cheap, and tasty

I'm new to this place, but apparently has been around awhile... And I can see why. Great staff. Pleasant, polite and helpful. Orders are prepared and served very promptly. Their English breakfasts are excellent. Good, solid quality bacon, corker sausages, crispy hash browns, decent baked beans, nice thick bread, tasty eggs. The only thing I would personally like to improve would be the black pudding, but I am picky, so who knows? Heinz ketchup and HP Brown. As it should be, but certainly not the case everywhere. Pricing is on point for me. A little more expensive to cover the better quality, but still great value and affordable. If you ask for an item to be cooked a certain way, it gets done. And they still bring the breakfast out super quickly. And I forgot to mention... Nice mug of tea included. Too many people write cafes and fry ups off as easy food, but it's not. Getting it all right, in a good time, at the same time, is not easy and I think they deserve a lot of credit. I really recommend this place, and as I always say, try it out and make your own minds up. In short, a great fry up and well worth a visit to make your own mind up.

I always find one of the best cafes in a town and then make that my regular, when the one I was using, went down hill after a chef change, I had to to go on the hunt again and for the last 6 months I have been going to the full English. I’m so happy with the service and food. 10/10 I even tried a delivery when I had a mobility problem and that was delivered with the breakfast perfectly cooked and oil free, it actually shocked me how good it still was. As thought a breakfast wouldn’t travel I Highly recommend

I saw The Full English has great reviews, so decided to try it with my son today. Absolutely lovely food. Clean and fresh inside with fantastic service. We both had a 'create your own' option, which offers 5/7 or 9 different ingredients. Been here in Folkestone for 15 years and have tried many cafe's and Wetherspoons breakfasts. This is- by far- the best. Great value, lovely Tea and toast. Go try it.

Great experience. The owner was so friendly and accommodating and let us come in before opening with our baby. The sausage and egg muffin was absolutely delicious and he made our baby lovely scrambled eggs and toast which he really enjoyed. High chair for the baby, great tea, great food, wonderful and friendly service. Thank you!!

I almost didn't want to like this place but the name and reputation are well deserved. A cooked breakfast is many parts. A good full English is maybe 85% but this place is 100%. They've understood the need for quality ingredients properly presented. And when you get there it's not touristy just your normal welcoming environment.

Mucked up my order then blamed me for asking for the wrong thing I bought a bacon baguette, then it said "choose your serving" with only one option - mushrooms. I received a sausage baguette with no mushrooms. I called to try and rectify the issue but they blamed me for getting it wrong, saying that I should have left a note specifying I wanted bacon... I literally selected a bacon baguette! I didn't buy a sausage baguette. I also didn't receive any mushrooms and paid £2 for a supermarket branded hash brown. They told me there's nothing they can do and told me to leave a note on the order next time. £12 down the pan. Over £7 for a baguette, which wasnt even what I ordered! Unprofessional service, wouldn't recommend.

First time visiting this cafe, after reading the reviews we decided to give it a go, Food was tasty but when it’s described as a small breakfast it is…. Extremely small, Apart from that the staff where very friendly and attentive and cafe was very clean.

I don’t get to this area often but returned 12 months on from my last visit and it didn’t disappoint. A good selection on the menu so there should be something for most people, it was perfectly cooked with generous portions. The staff were very friendly, and I will definitely return when I eventually get back to the area.

I go here every Friday with a friend the food is always very good the staff are very friendly we have got to know the staff and as soon as we walk they know what we will order and it is already being cooked

Was recommended by work colleague and hope you too will take my recommendation. A real hidden gem. We visited for breakfast and left viewing to return. We DID NOT smell of cooking oil when we left, there was not a hint of oil/fat on our plates from having a fry up. Service was very friendly, speedy and efficient. Food tasty, hot and fast.

First time I have ever entered this establishment. Have walked past and it always seemed busy. Now I know why. I My wife and I had a breakfast for me full and her half English. Tea arrived before breakfast and the tea alone was a nice strength and tasted lovely. Breakfast arrived with toast. I can only state that Imy eyes were bigger than my belly. Having eaten in a few places in Folkestone for breakfast and not receiving much on the plate, I opted full breakfast. Half is more than enough for me. Presentation was nice all neat and tidy, clean plate no dirty knives it forks. And it was delicious to eat, both my wife and I said to each other we will be back. In fact probably the best breakfast I have had since we moved for m Northern Ireland and my Ulster fry. Black pudding lovely. I fully recommend giving it a try, staff polite as well which is a bonus.

Does what it says on shopfront , they just forgot the Great. Great full English breakfast and lots more variations. Muffins, baguettes, doorstops lots more. Good sausage and bacon, egg perfect, plenty of beans, thick crusty toast off a proper loaf. They do it well .

Friendly, clean, efficient. Excellent well cooked and well presented hot food. At reasonable prices. Will return next pit stop.

I had a full English breakfast this morning. It was reasonable value for the quantity and very tasty, so I was happy with that. The lady who serves us was polite and friendly enough. They took the empty plates away before we had all finished. Doesn’t bother me but I know it would some people. The group next to us were swearing and at one point burped aloud. It’s in no way the fault of the cafe and they seemed harmless enough but as I was with my kids, I felt a little uncomfortable until they left. The waitress said thank you as we left which I always appreciate.

Sunday 20th March 10:15 – the three amigos OK, so it wasn’t mad max thunder drome, but three men entered and only one man did it. To that end, kudos to the man, the myth, the legend that never blew chunks – but came bloody close 😊 – Mathew Banks, for successfully taking down the £19.95 special. It all started as a little harmless fun really, hopefully some of you can relate? ~2am, not being able to sleep one night, and YouTube’s algorithm suggest a beard vs food clip. As thoughts of: ...why oh why do I want to watch some northern lad eat a ridiculous amount of food? And yet ya sub conscious takes over, and before you realise what’s just happened you have already clicked play only to find, actually... this is really a lot better viewing than EastEnders! What has my life become? :) ...and then the slippery slope led us (the three amigos) to the full English in Folkstone on that fateful day. I say fateful, as for me personally, the only way I could entice the kids to allow Dad to make a complete spectacle out of himself, was to suggest – Yeah, of course Folkstone will have penny arcade! WRONG!! So, after a post breakfast trip down the potholed road to Dymchurch, the public WC and its absence of bleach (still, ‘something’ managed burn my nostrils, and) subsequently stirred my guts, which ensured – at least some of what I’d just consumed exited my body via one end or the other... However! I digress... This is not that story. This is the story of how Mat vanquished “The Full English” and how this review left us all thinking – I’m not doing that again! OK. Booking – this was super easy. Mat (the champion) booked us all in a couple of weeks out. No problem, phone call, done. Staff – super friendly, although none of them had seen anyone take on and defeat the challenge. Given one of them had worked there about a year the – what are we doing!? – thoughts were elevated at this point. Food – There is absolutely nothing wrong here. Ian opted for (allegedly) extra mushrooms. I had extra beans (think the equivalent of a full tin) and Mat took the tomatoes. None of us was brave enough to chance the black pudding, coz well... when its good, its OK, but when its bad, come on, it’s a hockey puck! Still we needn't have worried, as none of us had any complaints. For me personally, the fired slice took me out the action. Completely. So, if anyone is thinking about it... you buy ya ticket, you roll ya dice, but will you swap out ya black pudding, the hash browns, the fungus, the fried slice, those tinned tommies or just take it all as it comes? Still, the point is, the place is top draw, twenty quid is well worth it, chips (what place do they have on a breakfast I ask you?) don’t feature, and all the ingredients and cooking of the same were top notch and thoroughly recommended by all of us. Again, personally speaking, I intended to “sandwich up” with the snags, but the pressure got the better of me and I just “took erm down” along with the mountain of beans I had on my plate, so whilst you won’t have any issues with the constituent parts – the sheer volume of food gets very real, very fast. Final comment - Give it a go. It’s definitely worth £20 quid, and if ya not a local yokel, it’s a cheap day out on a lazy Sunday afternoon isn’t it? Go on... do it!

I called in here with my son this morning for breakfast and cuppa..very rare for me as a cafe owner myself l don't get much opportunity. It was very clean .staff were first class..polite and efficient..the food was nicely presented and very hot as were the drinks. I will look forward to breakfast again the next time l get to Folkestone

The fish cake n chips is gorgeous.. I am so glad I tryed it here.... So far its the best fish cake n chips I've had.... Staff always happy to make you feel welcome.... Come hungry left feeling content and full. Recommended to anyone who want a perfect fish cake n chips xx

Awful. Eggs covered in oil.. cheap and nasty deep fried sausages.. my whole plate was a puddle of oil and it all tasted horrible. Certainly wouldn't recommend.

When you need a guaranteed GREAT breakfast then this is the place to come. A breakfast for all appetites. I always like to ask for crispy bacon and soft eggs and that’s exactly what I got. Fantastic value for money.
