The best restaurants serving British food in Woking South East

I recently ordered a special cake for my mother-in law's 90th Birthday celebration, and it was delicious. She chose a Black Forest Gateau and we all agreed it was the best we've ever tasted. Even though I left it a bit late to order, Claudio and the team went out of their way to ensure the cake was ready when we needed it. I would definitely recommend Sweet Passion and will be returning very soon.

Ever since we first at at Poppins, we have only had incredible food, phenomenal service and always a smile from the team. That's over nearly once a week visits for 4 months. The team is just incredible, Ian knows everyone's order when they walk in. Food is to die for! Will be back again next week.

Very basic fish and chips shop, cheap but the price reflects the quality unfortunately. It looked like they have a fairly nice indoor seating area, but I'm afraid that's the only plus point. The only parking in directly out the front on a busy main road so you'll struggle to find a place to park, I went in there is only one tiny menu on the wall, they have a very limited menu of about ten items. We got an order to take away of scampi, a battered sausage and chips, and it didn't taste particularly good, probably the worst chips if ever eaten and the batter on the sausage and scampi tasted of rubber. Not recommended at all.

Just a little small inside but everything else is spot on. Really good food as to be expected.

Wonderful meal from our duck pate starters to the steak and pork mains. I haven’t been here for years, as I relocated, but made a booking whilst back in the area - so pleased we did and glad to see it’s still dog friendly and with lovely staff. Well done Olive Tree.

Great tasting food and dessert and amazing services all round would definitely recommend to family and friends and great table seating

Eaten here a few times recently and I'm loving it!! The spicy Jack Burger is a favorite and the monthly Seafood night is Awesome!! Get yourselves down there!!Bosh

I’m not going to lie, I love a premier inn, they are spotlessly clean and so comfortable, but not d never eaten at one until tonight. I can get past the fact it’s all brought in prepared and pinged but for the love of God they need to season the food. Oh t wasn’t cooked well but I was hungry and not the worse crime but steak, tomato, chips, mushroom, rocket and not even a single grain of salt. No condiments on the table, no walking around allowed, no one asking if I need anything… Shame as the staff are actually very nice. I’d rather go back to school for a meal. Very disappointing and not worth the hefty bill which is making me feel resentful l. Never again :(

Waited for around 15 min just to be told reservations only, should put a sign at the door to warn people, when it was finally mu turn the guy at the bar, rolled his eyes when I said, it was only me and that if he could serve me, I was startving and totally wasted my time. They have a small kitchen, again they know this. A sign to warn people would be nice. Totally wasted my time there

Awesome desserts love the place

Booked it for a celebration for Nephew's birthday it was very busy. Loved the atmosphere and food but it was extremely busy on a lovely Sunday evening even at 6:30 pm. Loads of customers so service was a little slow however it did not ruin the food or the experience at this pub restaurant. One advice I would give beforehand is to book a table in advance just because it's very busy on most evenings and you don't want to be disappointed.

Fuimos a este lugar al final de una noche en Londres, siendo uno de los únicos bares en Woking, nos vimos tentados por el humo espeso y la idea de bebidas a un precio razonable. No hay nada particularmente malo en este lugar, pero encontramos que había más porteros que clientes, estaba completamente vacío aparte de nuestro grupo y tal vez 2 - 3 personas más. Presumiblemente se llena cuando las cucharas de intemperie de al lado echan a todos. Como dije no hay nada malo en ello, pero no hay nada particularmente bueno tampoco, hay una selección ok de bebidas, el servicio fue rápido (porque estaba vacío) , y las bebidas están bien, aparte de que parecía un genérico dingy bar de buceo.

We came for lunch on Saturday after choosing the pub for a meeting point with friends, the pub was busy but the two lovely people on the host who I found out their names are Jess and Chey were kind friendly and asked us to register our car registration which I found very helpful. We had the charcuterie plate to start and for mains we had fish and chips was amazing and the steak and tanglefoot pie which was delicious, the service from the team was fantastic and I will Most definitely be telling all of my friends to come and visit
