The best restaurants serving British food in Thame South South Oxfordshire South East

Not eating here recently so was interested to see what it was like. Wasn’t disappointed. Pleasant staff. I had mussels. My husband had tomahawk pork. Then we shared a sticky toffee pudding. All to a good standard. Sauvignon blanc wine was nice too.

Staff bended backwards to make us feel welcomed. There's a small sitting area upstairs where they serve cooked breakfast. Food was nice, drinks were super nice.

If your preference is for superb beef cooked to pink perfection & with generous supplies of it, then don't bother going anywhere else: The Black Horse is the place where you'll find it, as we did yesterday. Coupled with an enormous Yorkshire pudding & copious supplies of accompanying veg, this was a very fine meal indeed. We would recommend going there wholeheartedly. And the sticky toffee pudding was spot on, too. Light as a feather, it melted in the mouth.

Sunday lunch was so so tasty, loads of vegetables, potatoes were crispy to perfection. Very good customer service too!!!

This place goes from calm to buzzy at the drop of a hat. A favourite hang out for locals with separate room (the stables) that can be used for private functions; a chilled out beer garden, super staff, and great food with a menu that changes with the seasons. Bonuses: drinking bar, outdoor seating, parking, roaring fire. You can see why it's one of our favourites.

Went for a Christmas dinner party night with a group. Had a really good night, would recommend!

Unfortunately NOT serving lunch any more! NO PIES :( Only two real ales on, London Pride and Proper Job with crisps. Staff were friendly and attentive, shame, probably too many pubs in Thame?
