The best restaurants serving British food in Slough South East

2nd visit in 2 years and was change over in management. Wayne (current manager) was very accommodating and provided free bottle of bubbly for mine and my partners Anniversary meal reservation and was really touched by the personal reservation board on table when we arrived....please see attached photo. Great atmosphere and ample inside and outdoor seating especially for summer which is ideal for families, couples, groups etc and they provide weekly to monthly entertainment which is a bonus

As always the wonderful chicken wings went down a treat always so succulent and crispy. great service with a smile never a boring place to be.

I had an amazing dinner here. The service was great and I would highly recommend! Looking forward to returning for another meal

We come here for our family get-togethers, 2-3 times per year. Family lives, variously, in Kent, Gloucester, Bristol, Worthing, Eastbourne, Bramley, and Hailsham. We need somewhere to meet where the driving is roughly equal, easy to find, and good parking. We've been to a few places but the Kings Head is by far the best. Staff are really great, nothing is too much trouble. And the food is very good. A good, varied, menu so there's something to suit everyone. Two of us need gluten-free which is easy with you. I can't fault it and I've stopped looking at other places now.

Perfect spot for breakfast in the ever busy area of Colnbrook, it’s close proximity to the industrial parks and airport position the cafe in a prime location for breakfast. Good hearty portions, served hot and quickly upon ordering every time no matter how busy it is! Plenty of seating whether you are on your own or with a group of people. A great array of breakfasts, cold drinks and hot drinks, me and my colleagues love going to FatBoys for a big breakfast!

Typical working café, cheap and cheerful. We visited here at 7 am one Friday morning as a place to stop after a very early start on a long journey. It is very rough and ready but the food was v good and generous, would have given 5 star but they made a mistake on the order, which the waitress blamed on fat fingers when posting the order!!

I went before it closed. This was hands-down the best restaurant in Burnham and was always busy before the pandemic. It was a classic family friendly restaurant for the local area and we loved the crayons and pencils for the children. Let's hope it reopens with some of the same character and charm (& good breakfast!)

We booked a table here to watch the champions league final. Arrived at 6.30pm and had meal before the game, everything was cooked perfectly. The meal was very tasty and set us up for the night. Table 21 was great just in front of the big tvs, best viewing position in the place. The match was superb and there was really good atmosphere. Very good night.

I want to give a special shoutout to Paulina, our server at Pilots Bar and Kitchen on Terminal 5. She was friendly, efficient, and made our dining experience so enjoyable. The food was also delicious, making it a perfect evening with my family.

this was my second stay at the London Hilton Heathrow. Once I arrived, I took a cab to the Hotel, the first time I walked over the connecting bridge, which is endless and it was cold -I don't suggest you do NOT the same)- travel in comfort. Received a friendly Check-in greeting and the Bellman took my bags to the room ( see photos ).. The room was clean as well as the Bathroom. I slept in a King Size Bed, and the room is well equipped with all sorts of amenities. The heat did not work. I called the desk, and within minutes, the maintenance man arrived. He checked it out, could not fix it, and five minutes. later I received a heater to keep the room very comfy. Wonderful Service. Had my Dinner in the Lobby Restaurant, which was also cold because of the high ceiling. A HOT Soup as a starter and Hot Tea warmed me up. The next morning I took my flight to Miami, there is a bus that stops at the Hotel very reasonable vs. the Taxi which will take you to the Terminal. All in all, it was a wonderful stay and I recommend staying here.

I used to be a regular here, but wow they have dropped the ball, the whole place needs some serious injection of cash as parts of it seem to be falling apart, Toilets horrid and in need of repair. seems all new staff here, including the management, the one now seems to roll eyes at the staff they have and whilst sat eating heard her talking down to staff members when the kitchen doors opened. seriously doubt will go back here again... would of liked to of not even registered a vote, as think terrible is way above the level they are. the prices of food is high and some of it you can tell the quality is not as good as it used to be.

Tried to eat here but was told that the whole area was booked for coach parties. We were guests at the hotel. I politely thanked the member of staff who then said "you have to understand this!" Very surly and poor service. The bar area was packed, with a large queue of people waiting for service

We stumbled across the Ostrich on a Sunday evening before our morning flight from Heathrow, as we were looking for somewhere to eat. We opted for a table in the dining area which had a lovely, cosy atmosphere. The menu had lots of choice but we decided to go for the Sunday roast and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, hot, perfectly cooked with a generous amount of meat and vegetables. We were also pleasantly surprised to get a side of cauliflower cheese, something we normally have to pay extra for in our local area. The bill was also very reasonable for the London area. It is just a shame it is not closer to home as we would visit frequently, however we would not hesitate to return if flying from Heathrow again.

I really wanted a roast meal and decided what’s better than tobys . Plenty of parking, it’s Sunday evening and pretty empty. The waitress is very cheerful and took drinks order. Roast lamb was very thin slices and not much , gammon and roast pork again not much meat. Plenty of roast potatoes, peas, carrots, mac &cheese big Yorkshire pudding and hot gravy. I really enjoyed my meal and I didn’t care there wasn’t enough meat . Total bill for 2 with one beer £33 Would I return ??? Yes absolutely

Amazing food great service had a great evening. Shelley our waitress was very helpful very quick with our food even though she had to deal with alot of us .
