I went before it closed. This was hands-down the best restaurant in Burnham and was always busy before the pandemic. It was a classic family friendly restaurant for the local area and we loved the crayons and pencils for the children. Let's hope it reopens with some of the same character and charm (& good breakfast!)

The food was nice, however the service wasn't super friendly, it could have been a little more friendly. Additionally it was very dirty in there, the floors and chairs and tables could do with a good clean before customers attend as for someone like me, seeing dirt around me makes me question the hygiene of the kitchen and then it puts me off my food.

We’ve visited many times since Tummies opened. Always loved it. This was first visit since 2020 closures. Very disappointed. Only 3 tables occupied all evening - on a Friday. Food not up to past standards and menu choice about half what it had been. So sad as Tummies had become a local favourite. Hope it improves soon.

Went into the bar area. The guy behind bar in suit was more interested in messing about with a plug than serving a customer. The choice of drinks was limited. Asked for a drink to be told it was off. The guy serving couldn't care less attitude was really poor! The atmosphere was not that of a bar bistro. If you like a chicken cottage or McDonald's friday night after 11pm atmosphere and clientèle to match then head here!

To me it’s gone down hill it used to have a much better menu, very little choices now. It felt grubby and unkempt. It used to be so popular and buzzing. Judging by the number of tables occupied it’s definitely fallen out of popularity. Such a shame.

We waited 10 minutes with no service. We walked to the main bar and asked for service. We ordered drinks andamons. Another 10 minutes and drinks arrive. 55 minutes from our initial time of entering the premises, we got up and left. On the way out, we explained the issue only to be given a bill for drinks. No apology or a time on when mains would arrive. We left and booked another restaurant. The restaurant was not even busy. Perhaps 20% capacity. Non-existent service. Dreadful.

I held my 40th here seven years ago so I was really sad to see how much had changed eg less busy, no real atmosphere (there used to be live music on occasion) and the quality of the food poorer. There weren’t a huge number of staff on and the ones that were there were completely flat out, despite the restaurant not being full. Service felt quite rushed for us but the couple on the next table complained of being left for long periods between courses. The starter I had of squid was good but regrettably the salmon linguine for my main was over cooked and the mussels were tepid. Drinks prices were extortionate, £11 for a large glass of red wine! This could still be a great place to visit if more attention to the atmosphere was given, greater care around the food and staff less frantic.

We have not been to Tummies for a long time, so we were unaware that it is under new management. Unfortunately the new owners have not been able to maintain the quality of the food or serice since taking over. The first thing we noticed when we arrived is that the parking lot was empty. In the many years we've been going to Tummies, getting parking on a Saturday was always an issue, so we were surprised to see the almost-empty parking lot. Then, when we entered the restaurant, the bar was empty, and other than a couple of parties, most of the dining tables were empty. We were quite concerned at this point. Our server, who also seemed to be doubling as the host and the bartender, was quite abrupt with us in the first instance and we were left waiting to order for some time. However, the service did improve as the night went on - but not to the same friendly level we always had in the past. The food was a mixed bag. We both enjoyed the starters (chicken wings and pate) and the desserts (sticky toffee pudding and Bailey's mousse) but the entres were a total let down. My husband ordered ribs which seemed under done and were tough to cut and difficult to eat. I had lamb cutlet and garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes tasted like they were made from Smash (not real potatoes) and the lamb was quite small and fatty. Considering the juicy, delicious cuts of meat we'd had in the past and the amazing cooking skills we were used to from Tummies - this was a complete departure from what we expected. For us, this is like losing an old friend and we were very sad to see the state of things. The new owners need to up their game if they want to bring back the old clientele. I can't see us eating there again unless things improve considerably.

Somehow this place has lost its charm. We arrived 7pm on Friday and the place was almost empty. The food was ok, the sea bass special saved it for me but my partner was disappointed with the blackened Cajun chicken. Service was polite enough with the waiter being somewhat attentive and the manager less so. Considering it was quiet I could understand why it took 15 minutes from getting the bill to being handed the payment machine.

There was a problem with the credit card machine system. We tried literally every card we have between us and they were all declined and I even went next door and used my cards and they were accepted and they refused to accept anything was wrong with their system. I ended up going down the road to get cash. Very frustrating. The food was very good though and the staff were lovely.

Visited at 12 on a Sunday offered both breakfast and/or lunch menu which was nice. We chose lunch it did take a while for the waiter to come back to us we ordered drinks which again took a while (think only two waiters working). However we didn’t mind the food was quicker and we really enjoyed it. The three of us all said it was very nice. I had steak which was very thick and juicy. We all had puddings which where massive and tasty.

After many years of enjoying Tummies with family and friends, celebrating birthdays anniversary, New Year and Christmas, our recent , for breakfast ,visit was totally awful Food was most disappointing, flavourless, quality poor , food was swimming in water, I asked for sourdough bread which was not available, so I requested no bread, the waiter ignored my request and when the “ breakfast “ came , it had bread , his excursuses was , the breakfast comes with bread , I take it , it’s their menu no room for personnel choice. We revisited Tummies having moved out of the area a few years ago. It had always been a great place to go and we’d had plenty of good meals there. However, it’s obviously changed hands this year and is really struggling. The warning signs should have been how easy it was to get a booking for a Saturday night less then 24hrs earlier. There were only 3 of us, we arrived on time and waited to be seated for a while. There was only one bloke behind the bar who seemed to be doing it all. After we got drinks and sat at our table we waited….and waited……and waited. 50 minutes went by with no one coming over to us despite other tables near us. We asked if we could order food and nothing happened. Eventually we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. A sorry state of affairs for what was once upon a time a thriving business. I understand the previous owners sold up so it will be interesting to see how this place ends up in the next year or so. Needless to say we won’t be going back there anymore

Unable to complete this review as we left without eating. We were there for an hour with no staff coming to even ask if we were ready to order food. Only one bloke doing the bar, seating reservations and taking orders so no wonder. Not the place it used to be and it will not survive if it continues like this. Should’ve checked out reviews for the place before booking. It’s changed ownership and is clearly not the same establishment it used to be. Will never be returning.

This restaurant was recommended by colleagues. The food was OK - nothing special and there was a sparse use of seasoning. The main problem was around service. We waited over an hour for our meal. We were told a new chef was being trained and we did get an apology and a round of drinks but after a long days work we were all really hungry. The restaurant was nearly empty so even training a new chef should not have resulted in such long delays.

I ordered Eggs florentine with a flat mushroom, I chose toast instead of the muffin. The Poached eggs were cold and snotty and the mushroom was missing. The toast was cold and completely soggy. I ordered freshly squeezed orange juice which tasted like it had be watered down. I didn’t eat a a bite of my breakfast and explained my disappointment to the young waitress who simply said ‘I’ll tell the chef. To my horror I was still charged for this sloppy excuse of a breakfast. The waitress had no personality whatsoever! My son had a full English which wasn’t too bad in comparison to my food but the quality has clearly gone downhill. When we left there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana in the car park and we could see what looked like a chef on the far side of the car park smoking so it may we’ll have been him creating that funky smell smoking. Tummies used to be a place of quality, we will not be returning.

We went for breakfast. It was fairly quiet. My partner ordered the full breakfast at a cost of approximately £12 and i ordered a bacon sandwich. It took a long time for the food to arrive. My order was incorrect it was a breakfast rather than bacon sandwich my partner’s egg was overcooked and the sausage was sub standard and undercooked. Whilst the bacon was over cooked. Breakfast at Tummies is not cheap and I don’t think that we will return.

We were informed on several occasions that only sandwiches could be sold due to work in the kitchen. However, terrible order service - no menus offered for 20 minutes. Also had to ask for a drink. We used to love coming here when we lived in Slough, so it was a huge disappointment (and embarrassing) to find the service, food and ambience much diminished when I booked lunch with a friend who'd heard so many good things about it from us. Three people were at the bar and a family at a table in the back. No one else seemed to be in the huge restaurant. Despite this, the family's food did not arrive for about 45 minutes after we arrived. The food choices were poor, with no basics like a burger on the menu. I tried the much-vaunted Raspberry Brulee. It was OK but slightly burned at the edges with no expected crack when digging into the topping. My friend's sticky toffee pudding was cold and didn't have any sauce. It was more like a brownie. We didn't give the full 12.5% tip and only gave the waiter a couple of pounds because we felt sorry for him. He was doing his best. Perhaps it's livelier in the evenings...

Been to Tummies lots of times and this was the worse experience we have had.Food was good although bhaji could have done with a sauce. We had a booking for 9pm, we received a phone call at 7.30pm saying kitchen was closing at 9pm and could we come in earlier. We managed to get there around 8.30. Waiter, although wrote down drinks order still had to come back three times before we got the correct drinks. Still then had to ask again for water. Starters did not all arrive together plus started clearing away before we had all finished. Again main courses came staggered over a least a ten minute period. My companions said I could start mine to stop it being cold. Did not go for desserts or coffees. Once bill received it included service charge which we would have preferred it to be an option. The manager did offer to refund it when we complained, but we let it stand. Would really consider whether to return again.

Food was ok , although mine was very cold , three of us got our meals served at the same time while the fourth meal came out nearly ten minutes later,. The restaurant was extremely quiet , yet almost thirty minutes after we had finished our plates, they had not been removed we had to find a waitress to ask for our table to be cleared as the left over food was attracting flies . we were not asked if we wanted desserts , we again had too go again and find a waitress, she gave us menus but didn’t bother to come back to our table to see if we wanted to order anything

My 11 year old was served raw chicken and he ate it. I’m not talking a little bit raw. It was like it had just been bought out of the shop raw. When I showed 4 members of staff they all put their hands over their mouths in shock at how raw it was. The managers response was it’s a new menu and new chefs and my response was “ that’s absolutely no excuse. If your chefs can’t even cook chicken goujons then what kind of chefs do you have working here”. I am absolutely mortified by my experience there. I asked them to refund our meals which they did but nothing could compensate for this in my eyes. My son is now ill as a result. Just so shocked. Tummies used to have such a good reputation. Not anymore.

My son was served raw chicken and I’m not just talking about a little bit raw, it was raw like it’s just been brought out of the shop. The excuse given to me was that it’s a new menu and new chefs. I’m sorry that is absolutely NO excuse! If their so called chefs can’t even cook chicken goujons then what kind of chefs do they have working there. Why on Earth was a prope not used to check if it was cooked or not before being sent out. And because my son doesn’t know the difference, he just ate it 😞. My son is 11 years old and quite likely going to be ill as a result. When I approached the manager and staff about the chicken, they all put their hands over their mouth in shock. They refunded my sons meal. All £9.75 but are they going to compensate me for the money that I’m going to spend getting him to hospital. I’m a teacher from the local area to Tummies and had been recommended Tummies a while ago so I thought I would give it a whirl. Being a single mother and not getting to go out very much, I thought I would go for a nice treat at Tummies but I’m honestly so shocked at how poor it was. Very unhappy customer!!!

What a shame. What was a very popular place to eat has had a severe decline. I had previously had my wedding reception here and had expected that we would be having meals of a comparable quality as the menu was virtually unchanged. Poor hygiene and uncoordinated service coupled with badly cooked food. The owner /proprietor had a small dog in the restaurant which they carried about and then handled food and drink items without any hygiene measures. We preordered food due to the size of the party. They bought food out before all guests had arrived. Food was badly cooked, roast potatoes weren’t roasted. Overall quality of dishes was poor. Rather telling that we were one of only two tables on a Sunday lunchtime. Go elsewhere as the overall experience was disappointing. We won’t be back.

A dreadful choice of restaurant for breakfast. Am local and have visited tummies for many years, and really rated their food highly, especially breakfast. However made a bad choice to visit Saturday morning for breakfast. Service very slow with rude unhelpful staff. Husband asked for a breakfast sandwich. It came with sausage, bacon and no egg. When he stated to waitress it should come with an egg, she decided arguing that a breakfast sandwich was just bacon and sausage, and was very reluctant to budge. We had to be very persistent that this was incorrect. She then offered to go to kitchen and ask. On her return, she simply said it had been forgotten and they would cook one if he likes !!! Wow !!! She then stated would you like me to get you one then !!! So took his plate back to kitchen, and had an egg put onto the now partially warm sausage and bacon. Bread was dry and all curled up. In all this time I still sat there with no spoon for my muesli and fruit. We had drank our coffee, before the food came to us. She then asked if everything was OK now, and I explained it wasn't and why it wasn't and I would like to see the manager, because it was all unacceptable. She never returned and we never had a visit from manager. Will never use tummies again. Don't make the same mistake as us. The restaurant has new management and it is definitely not for the better.

Tummies was our favourite restaurant, unfortunately since being sold it’s been in gradual decline. The menu has been reduced including losing some of its traditional favourites. The menu always used to be changed monthly with different seasonal specials. This is no longer the case. There are issues with parking with numerous customers on the receiving end of fines, and the management offer no answers or sympathy The latest manager has no idea regarding the customer experience which was the ethos of the original owner

We then waited for the menu to come back to choose our desserts and waited and waited. We got our desserts to take away and in the meantime we asked for the bill and again waited and waited. Finally got the bill and we were overcharged and again had to wait for that to be rectified. I used to like Tummies but this latest event has put me off. What has happened Tummies you used to be alright now.....would choose to go elsewhere.

We had a very nice breakfast. The food was delicious. The overall experience was let down by the service, which was very slow. Things we asked for such as a jug of water never arrived and when we asked for things to come separately it all came together so sadly we were a bit disappointed. I have to say though, that we would go back because the restaurant is very nice, the staff were very friendly and the food was great. The prices were ok too. Just need to improve on the service

Absolutely shocking service waited almost an hour for 2 simple starters had to chase 3 times for them we waited 2 hours for our mains waitress pretty much through the plates on the table and walked off no care or concern or asked if we needed any thing else! We understand it was Father’s Day so a little busier however this doesn’t excuse the level of service the mains were horrible over cooked and not as tummies standards! We definitely will not be eating there again absolutely diabolical and very disappointing. The so called manager was very disinterested and kept on cleaning cups away when I was telling him at the bar how we felt no concern at all really felt like he couldn’t care less to be honnest he did take money off the bill but only when I suggested it!! Nothing sincere about him he was absolutely useless!! Tummies step up your game you will loose countless regulars if you continue down this path of service and food quality! All staff were clearly under pressure through so many people complaining the waiting staff constantly at the kitchen chasing the so called chefs!! They seemed more attentive to the larger groups booked in rather then everyone else waiting!!! Shocking shocking shocking!!! Worst place ever to go to on a special occasion!!

I belive they have new owners/manager. The menu is now a one sided laminated sheet with ONLY 5 items for starters, mains & dessert. There are no veg or sides. The meals we all were served with a salad on the plate which is not needed as we had Chicken & pork. If you are veggie or Vegan avoid. There is 12.5% service charge added to the bill. The place was virtually empty in a Saturday night. I usually go 4/5 times a year as it was always superb. I will not be going anymore. The Harvester is better value, its no longer a great place to meet up.

We have been Tummmies customers since it opened, suiting for lunches, dinners, family events and including using the catering service. It’s fair to say the good is okay - not great but satisfactory. And it’s convenient with decent ambiance. BUT in February after my visit for lunch, I received a parking fine. After appealing, which the parking company rejected (for no reason) I had to pay £100 to get them off my back. I had written to Tummies, left phone messages and Facebook posts only to be completely ignored. Customer relations = sub-zero. NEVER AGAIN. it’s not worth it.

Took my partner here last night thinking small menu . Must be good food, out the 8 main courses only 5 were available. So for a starter tried chicken satay. The chicken was drenched in lemon I mean drenched. Satay tasted of 20 different things put in a pot I mean vile. After we both tasted agreed vile we give back to the embarrassed waitress. .she came back to us and said that even the chef couldnt eat it as he thought was disgusting too. A shelf that doesn't check his food is even edible Next a 23pound sirloin which was fatty over chewwy a poor cut. I mean I've had better from aldi for 2 quid. Was grim. Poor waitress. Then the bill come with a service charge. I wish I cooked and served it myself. Absolutely worse dining experience in my life. The chef said his food didn't taste nice but happy to serve me the rubbish at top price Avoid avoid avoid

Where do I begin on the terrible experience we had on Tuesday. It was advertised as steak Tuesday both on the website and on the wall in the restaurant but apparently the deal was stopped weeks ago? Then the food we had to change to was not available so we had to choose AGAIN to something different. I specifically asked for no nuts on my salad and it arrived with nuts. I then asked for another drink 3 times and it arrived 20mins later. We were then overcharged for non alcoholic drinks that we purchased and they still tried to charge £20 service charge! Nobody cared and it was terrible service and the saddest part was that the staff agreed with us.

Perfect spot for breakfast in the ever busy area of Colnbrook, it’s close proximity to the industrial parks and airport position the cafe in a prime location for breakfast. Good hearty portions, served hot and quickly upon ordering every time no matter how busy it is! Plenty of seating whether you are on your own or with a group of people. A great array of breakfasts, cold drinks and hot drinks, me and my colleagues love going to FatBoys for a big breakfast!
