This place isn't given the credit it truly deserves. We love coming here on Saturdays. The girls are fantastic and the owner is lovely. The food is always great and even when there's been times I've not fancied much, the chef will accommodate for my tiny stomach without hesitation. A real must to have to vist

Visited this restaurant after a chilly afternoon out. Hotel bar was warm and cosy. We ordered a med Sunday roast which was very good, also hot and did not have to wait long. The roast was excellent, as was the mulled wine. The staff were attentive and friendly. Will certainly visit again.

I like this pub its is cosy and one of the best pubs for the winter as the fire is probably the best one in the town. The staff are always friendly and the beers are good. The pub is old and quirky and its front looks amazing, the inside decor has also been significantly improved over the years. The only downside is that the fire doesn't really heat the whole pub which can make the sections far away from the fire feel cold.

I went here today with my parents. My mum wanted cream tea but they didn’t have any so she tried to order a bacon and cheese turnover but they didn’t have that either. She then got the steak bake which had barely any filling in it. When we ordered two diet cokes, the waitress brought out two glasses. The glasses were so dirty, had a cloudy look as if someone put a paintbrush in it with white paint, so we decided to just drink straight out of the can. I ordered a chocolate doughnut that I saw in the window because it looked tasty but when I ate it it was very dry and tasteless. My dad seemed to have the best food since he didn’t have complaints about his meal, but he did feel that £18.95 was expensive for two pasties, a doughnut, two diet cokes, and a black coffee. Especially since two people were unhappy with what they ordered. However, on a kinder note, the staff working there were very kind to all of the customers.

We've just had the most exquisite valentines meal here, we are very local and visit most Friday evenings for a quick early dinner to save either of us cooking, we cannot recommend the Squirrel enough, the food really is outstanding, so fresh and with stunning flavours, we've not yet had a disappointing meal.... Well done to Tony and his excellent team....thank you Paul & Sarah
