My daughter and I visited today for lunch and had the loveliest time… it’s a very cool record shop/cafe/restaurant that does the most amazing pie and mash! There’s loads of choice; meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free pies! For me being gluten free isn’t always easy but they were brilliant and spent extra time preparing the kitchen, we were really impressed and our pies and sides were beautifully presented and delicious! Really friendly, professional people running it, we will definitely be back, thank you! 😀

Spotted this place from across the way whilst we were leaving another shop. Warmly greeted as we came in, lady at the counter was friendly and the products looked really good in the display cases. We ordered sausages rolls, coffees, and some other pastries. We were asked if we would like some of the food heated up which was good. Coffees were nice, little on the small side for me but I like a huge mug and aware not everyone serves in those kind of cups. Inside was clean, tastefully decorated & light. Really liked the plates and proper knives and forks. Tip - if in pairs, get a table if one is free whilst the other orders! We saw this place fill up whilst eating so best to get a seat whilst you can.

The recent renovation has certainly paid off—this restaurant now boasts a lovely decor with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The views are a real highlight, making it a great spot for a relaxed meal. However, the experience was somewhat let down by the service. It was a busy afternoon, and it seemed like the restaurant could have used more staff to keep up with the demand. The long wait of over two hours for our main course was particularly frustrating and took away from the overall enjoyment of the meal. As for the food, it was decent but not outstanding. The roast potatoes were a bit too hard, and the crumble for dessert wasn’t the best. That said, other elements of the meal were enjoyable, and with a bit more attention to detail, the kitchen could deliver a more consistent experience. Overall, this restaurant has a lot of potential. The setting and ambiance are fantastic, but improvements in service and some refinements in the food would make a significant difference.
