Just returned from a lunch at Delaney’s the welcome from staff and food were fabulous! All sandwiches freshly made to order and extremely good value for money. We were not rushed but staff were attentive. I will definitely be back!

Just popped in for the first time for a drink and quick bite! Service superb. Friendly and helpful without being to familiar! A truly excellent toasted sandwich and nachos! If the chef is this clever with snacks we can’t wait to go back for an evening meal!! A wonderful find! We’ll be back!!

Went here for an early morning breakfast and the lady said she was a front of house manager ( very self important) was taking orders. We ordered breakfast and coffee.The food arrived and then we were advised that the coffee machine was broken.Breakfast is not the same without coffee!!Luckily the chef came and showed her that it was only the gate on the grinder that was shut and otherwise the coffee machine was fine.She followed him to the kitchen (it's a very small place) and we could hear her shouting about "showing her up". Not very comfortable.He then had to show her how to make a flat white and endure further shouting.

Stopped by for tea and coffee. Ended up having cocktails as they sounded so enticing. We made the right choice. Absolutely wonderful. Great place in a nice little side street. Staff wonderful, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.

Can't fault it. Chef knows his menu as did Dan the waiter. Very attentive. Food was cooked to perfection. I've got a hot date tomorrow and I booked a table - so you know it means Delaney's is good.

Hi popped in for a cocktail during happy hour. Managed to reserve a table easily and was greeted by the staff. Nibbles lovely - bread with balsamic and olive oil - olives ! Perfect addition to Pornstar cocktail which was delicious made by Lauren ! Only had time for one sadly!

Always my favourite place to order lunch-to-go from. Reasonably priced and food that is spot on every time!

Walking down the street, met Sonny (barlad). Absolute great time, blankets for people who are cold, beer when you asked, and as it's on a street; which is great as meeting many characters! 100% coming back

Perfect lunch. Everything was prepared fresh while I waited (which didn't take long). I had a bacon, chicken and avo baguette as recommended by the staff. this was delicious! followed up with a chocolate brownie which tasted like heaven Staff were lovely. Would highly recommend!

Calm and unfussy decor, welcoming staff and delicious, unpretentious food. This is the place to come when in the Southsea area. It's a straightforward to order and service is swift. There's a good atmosphere here and it's in a convenient spot.

Me topé con Delaneys temprano un día y tuve un excelente comienzo del día, nada exótico, simplemente café con tostadas y mermelada. Pero el delicioso café fue tan bueno con cuatro deliciosas tostadas blancas y, para su crédito, buena mermelada y suficiente para los cuatro (ninguna de esas pequeñas ollas quisquillosas). Llegó al trabajo un poco hambriento! ¡Decidí un gran desayuno inglés completo! 2 x lonchas de tocino, 2 x salchichas, 2 x huevos, 2 x rebanadas de pan tostado con mantequilla, frijoles horneados y champiñones fritos. . . regado con una taza de café con leche. No está mal para 7. 50!Todo esto . . . entregado a mi escritorio sin costo adicional (bueno, estamos al lado, después de todo, ¡así que no esperes este tipo de servicio tú mismo!)Bien recomendado!

Four of us stopped here for lunch on our arrival in Southsea and could not have picked a better place. Very friendly staff, delicious sandwiches/paninis/wraps and decent prices too. A lovely place to stop and would definitely visit again when we come back to Southsea.

Had a lovely late breakfast in Delaney's , friendly staff good tasting food and so much better than the noisy competitor on the common ! The only downside is I wish there was more cakes to choose from but would highlight recommend !

Bought my parents here for lunch. We been a few times but this is the busiest I've ever seen it, which is lovely. Really good home made filings served in tiger bread baguettes, with lovely home made cakes to finish.

Fuimos a almorzar hoy y me decepcionó mucho. Pedí un tocino caliente y baguette stilton. Tardó unos 25 minutos en llegar. El tocino estaba frío como la piedra y solo se cocinaba con mucha grasa blanca. En consecuencia, el stilton no se había derretido. Parecía estar ocupado, lo que en mi opinión significa que la comida suele ser buena o muy barata, en este caso, significaba lo primero. Tuvimos que esperar ya que estaban ocupados debido a una venta más adelante en el camino pero valió la pena la espera. Ambos tenían inglés completo y ambos tenían platos vacíos. La única crítica que tengo es que solo obtienes una salchicha chipolata muy pequeña, sabrosa pero pequeña.

Found this quaint little cafe whilst out early with the wife the staff are so nice and friendly lovely little place had bacon and eggs on tiger bread wow oh wow so nice yes I know its only a bacon sandwich but it was so good will defo be back now we found

My first review as I've been in the industry for 25 years and recently changed career. What an amazing place, well done Belinda, clean, friendly great service but what made it for me was the superb ingredients used, what a difference and very rare nowadays.

Found this quaint place for Saturday brunch which was very enjoyable. Staff very attentive. Shame they are closed on Sundays but guess everyone should get a day off.

Prices are fine, and so is the food. I took a chicken mayo panini and my friend took chicken+ mango salad, we paid 7 pound (includes a coke). The place is homie and lovely, in a vintage style.

Having gone to Southsea many times over the years I was recently told about a quirky street called "Castle road " which apparently was the original main road at one time many years ago, it was very easy to find and has the most amazing selection of unusual little shops And even has had published a little booklet in all the shops about the road and its history.

My wife and I dropped in here today for a quick snack, first time visit. We both had a chicken wrap along with a cup of tea.

Popped in for breakfast 5 mins after opening time and placed our order after a group of male workers. Other customers then arrived and duly ordered their requirements. Our drinks arrived after an acceptable time, but then our food took forever and we saw, not only the work group be served, as would be expected, but 3 other tables receive their food, even though they all ordered after us. Our drinks were finished and we waited approx 45 mins for 3 cooked breakfasts to turn up. Apologies from staff about the delay we encountered included comments about "everyone turning up at once", but what would they expect when offering breakfast on their menu, but not opening until 9.30am. It was the fact that we saw other people, including some obviously known to the staff, receiving their orders first that spoilt our visit, as the food was ok. Won't be returning unless we have all day to spare

Great cheap eat for a spot of breakfast lovely service all cooked to order you get what you pay for. Cute little upstairs for a more intimate experience

Visitamos Delaneys hoy. Nos estaban esperando en la mesa para 10 minutos antes, nos dimos cuenta de que debía pedir en el mostrador y ninguno de los empleados, de hecho, nos dijeron. No me dieron ninguna cubiertos para mi bagel y ensalada y tenía que pedir. También que no aceptan tarjetas y no hay señal alguna de avisar a los clientes acerca de este.

Visited here twice over the last week. Both times food was lovely, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and smoothies. The mango smoothie is lovely! Service good, atmosphere calm and friendly.

Disappointing visit. No soup of the day today (really? midwinter?!). Drink selection was supermarket tat. Where are the healthy fruit juices? Sandwich was very average. Back to Pret. Never goes wrong.

Every time we come to Portsmouth we go most days for our lunch requirements. All the fillings are of a generous portion. We always have the meal deal - sandwich + coke or water - crisps. Always fresh and tasty. Well recommended

The sandwiches here are absolutely delicious, takeaway or eat in, you definitely must try one of their sandwiches and you will definitely love it. Sometimes simplicity is the best!

The staff are welcoming & friendly and the food is delicious. It's all made freshly to order but doesn't take long! I've lived in Southsea for years but have only just discovered this gem ... I now visit regularly.

Although I think most customers were regulars it didn't alter service given. The place is small and orders to the customers requirements. It is a clean happy place to eat breakfast or lunch and perfect for students and take outs.

Mi compañero había ganado un almuerzo para dos personas, así que decidimos hacer uso de nuestro premio. así que no podría haber encontrado un mejor, encontrarás un lugar para comer, mi compañero Jenny tenía pollo de coronación en una chaqueta y yo tuvimos gambas y ensalada de aguacate. I live a couple of miles away from Delaney's but the sandwiches are worth the trip. Welcoming staff, a good range of fillings, fresh and delicious. Decent food for the price of a burger from any well known chain, no contest in my view.

I have been going to delanys for years for there paninis. I love it here it is cute and perfect for lunch. The only problem is it gets very busy and the food takes forever before you get it!
