This is amazing little Cafe but unfortunately we only get to go when we are on holiday 🥲 The owner is so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. And the food is extremely good and always fresh. We always have a chat and are made to feel most welcome. Love it ❤️

I visited the pub to meet a friend and usually it is fab, but they had live music which normally I enjoy. However the music was so loud it hurt my ears and it was not possible to hear so I left. I mouthed to a few people that I knew that it was too loud and left. I realise people in the pub were having a fun time but it was deadening. There was no need to have this loud.

Booked an early evening meal here with friends on New years eve. Been recommended. It was a bit quite. Didn't know really what to expect. Traditional English pub now with an Indian twist. Wow, What great food, We can honestly say , this was the best Indian meal we have had in recent years.

We went for Boxing Day dinner which was ok for a pub meal. However when I went to the toilet ( female) I found them dirty and in need of a good refurbishment. One cubicle had no toilet roll and the toilet was dirty so I tried the next cubicle and that had a missing toilet seat. The next two cubicles were tatty and dirty. The hand washing area was dirty and I don’t mean it was from being used all day. The area around the radiators filthy and clearly had not been cleaned for some time. The whole area had flaking plaster which looked like it had just been painted over. The question which occurred to me is is the kitchen up to scratch hygiene wise considering the state of the toilets.

Nice pub, great atmosphere, great staff. But I wouldn’t bother with the roast, we came in first thing today (12pm on 15/12/24) thinking the food should be good and fresh and more importantly warm ( my family had been a few weeks back just before the kitchen had closed and the food was all pretty much cold except the gravy). Unfortunately the time of going for a meal didn’t make any difference the food was cold. I appreciate it’s cheap for £10 and the quality of the food is what you expect for what you are paying but it being cold is not good. Cabbage was pretty much raw. I think they used the wrong flour for the Yorkshire puddings they were like bullets. Meat portion was pretty small and about the same for the adult and the child portion. No offer to try and make it right in anyway. Other food we have had there is good, I just don’t rate the roast.
