We found the staff here very friendly and welcoming. It’s a lovely atmosphere with a traditional English pub feel. Seating inside and out. The food was outstanding.

We visited the White horse to try somewhere different in the Totton area for Sunday lunch. Wow what an experience the place is lovely and a traditional English pub/restaurant. The staff could not have been nicer and the food was prepared and presented like a top restaurant ( better than a recent visit to the Ivy in London) I cannot fault this lovely little pub and we will definitely be back soon

We called in for an unplanned meal with family and what a lovely surprise great food, friendly helpful staff with varied menu at good prices. Food was excellent and all homemade, I had the best onion rings ever eaten out as batter so light. Thank you all.

We are staying locally to The White Horse in our campervan for the weekend having travelled from Kent, and this pub was recommended by the local resident where we are staying. It really is a lovely friendly pub with a restaurant. We have our dog with us and she was made very welcome too. They even have some doggy biscuits in a jar on the bar to give them a treat. They also sell dog ice cream 🍦 We sat outside for dinner as the weather is warm. We both enjoyed a cold drink and ordered dinner. The food was exceptional and so tasty. The bar staff and service was lovely. I felt very welcomed here. I would definitely return if I was in the area again.

4 of us went here for lunch on a Friday, the only reason I put some 4 stars was because it was very quiet. I would think with more people it would be a lot better, the food was all very good except the batter on the cod which was far to hard, fish was really nice tho and chips were great. Would I return, definitely and would recommend it. All in a very nice meal and puddings were great. Thank you.

Waited at table for 30 minutes for service only to be told it was counter order as they were short staffed. Ordered from the special board to be told 10 minutes later that it was sold out. 2nd choice food arrived, half cooked. IE raw and cold in the middle. Charged extra for a sauce. Queried the bill as no apology or discount offered for the raw food, to be told to take it up with the manager when they are in. Really poor service.

We only stopped in for a quick leg stretch and a drink. But it seemed very nice. No toilet roll in the toilets though.

We had the roast it was great, nice selection of vegetables. Good value for money. Lovely friendly staff.

Have been going very regularly to the white horse for food, booked a table for today, my friend asked if the meat left over could be put in some foil to take home for her dogs, the young girl came back to the table following our request and said no kitchen foil. Another table close to where we were sitting brought some foiled food left overs for them to take away, so disappointed, we ordered dessert which took so long and we paid the bill and left, we didn't have them, maybe we will find somewhere better next time!!!

Very nice premises, and the staff were very lovely and helpful! We tried the beef burger, fish and chips and a brie tart. The food was quite good bar the fish, hence the loss of one star.

We booked for a Sunday roast yesterday with family; the Specials board and regular menu had such a huge variety of gorgeous food 😋 We ended up having three courses each and not a roast at all. All of our dishes were delicious! We even ended up staying for the meat draw and three of the four of us won prizes 😁 It's so nice to see the pub so full and everyone enjoying themselves We'd highly recommend a visit!

We were staying nearby to The White Horse and decided to have their Sunday Roast dinner. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. There were other choices on offer, which change frequently, but we elected to have the Roast Beef. We can honestly say that this was THE best pub roast that we have had, and we’ve sampled many. Presentation was spot on, food was hot and the cauliflower cheese (included) was delicious and cheesy. The beef was thick cut and tender. Added touches were crispy onions in the Yorkshire pudding and pea shoots garnish. All in all a lovely meal and a pub that we will make a beeline for next time we visit the area. Well done team 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Superp food (as always) as we've been here a few times the good lady and I. The staff are always so pleasant, and helpful, and the surroundings are lovely and homely. Such a great way to chill out and enjoy a meal and a drink. Brilliant. Say no more!!

We had a gorgeous three course Christmas 🎄 lunch last Saturday; a wonderful selection & ample portions 😁 Friendly and warm staff that don't rush you through courses. The mulled wine is like a hug in a glass 😋 A free bottle of prosecco to enjoy with our meal too 🍾 🥂 Laura and Sophie are the perfect hosts 💕 Highly recommended A really lovely atmosphere 😍

Fabulous traditional pub with great food and lovely owner. Well worth a visit. Exceptionally clean and well kept.

Kitchen closed at 8pm on a Friday night so couldn’t try the food. Bar staff seemed unmotivated and not particularly friendly - it was almost like we were an inconvenience to them. Won’t go back wouldn’t recommend.

Mid week lunch with family. Lovely meals enjoyed by all. Very friendly, helpful and prompt service. Too hot to sit outside, so we sat inside. Lovely and cool with a relaxed atmosphere 😊

Food was great, however table service was the let down. We wanted dessert after our main meal and no-one was coming over to clear our plates, so ended up not having dessert and just going to the bar to pay.

Great local New Forest pub. Friendly staff, nice outdoor seating area which is well lit up at night. Good for watching sports as well.

Booked a Sunday carvery for 5.30pm, food average. Tried to order desserts to be told kitchen was closed! Why not tell us when we booked, we would've booked our desserts then! Young waitress was polite and looked after us as best she could. Certainly not the warmest of welcomes and ignored us when we left, no goodbye or thanks for coming!! Would we go again......in a word No!! 👎

Always hearty homecooked style pub food, nice flavours and good portion sizes. Usually a good selection of beers on tap, always worth a visit. Dogs welcome inside as long as you're sat in front of the bar.

Had a lovely meal here, very welcome with our 12 year old son. Had one of the best burgers in a long time. Nice place, good atmosphere, good food.

Lunchtime visit.Very cold inside pub. Stopped serving food at 2pm. Didn't tell us that or we'd have ordered food at same time as main course. So no pudd. Not even an offer of ice cream. Hot chocolate with all the trimmings then? No cream. But the hot chocolate was nice.Not too sweet & it did have marshmallows on the side. HOWEVER the main meal food was delicious. A very varied menu. Not the usual bar food.I had Tuna steak with sweet potato mash. The Tuna was cooked to perfection. Meal was nice n hot & very tasty. Compliments to the Chef. Staff very friendly. I'd certainly recommend the food. Remember if you're going for lunch- kitchen closes at 2pm on the dot.

Very nice self contained bed sit. Plenty of room with good facilities and a very nice shower room. Drive way off the main road needs care. Wonderful stay.

Popped in for impromptu light lunch with my friend after a visit to vets with her dog in Bournemouth. We were greeted by Ange,who was lovely. A great member of staff and real asset to the team! Really lovely pub, homely atmosphere and food was great! Will definitely be back! Absolutely recommend 👌

Great little pub just a short walk from our campsite. Lovely outside seating area a lot of it under cover should the weather turn. Great beer lovely staff and the food looked great too.

Nice tidy pub with covered outside space

£15 for "Hand battered bistro cod"... definitely a pop-in-the-oven bit of frozen Birds Eye cod. Will definitely not be eating here again. Rip off.

Food was tasty but small portions. Food on silly wooden boards. Asked for salad just got a bowl of rocket. Friend had a small tuna steak and cup of chips £16 ! Gin & Tonic £6.10p. Dissapointing.
