Having seen people recommend here on Facebook we looked forward to our visit. Whilst the food was okay we felt that price wise, paying £55 for a seafood platter for two it was rather expensive, when the platter was put on the table my son initially thought that it was just his. Plus side the salads were lovely and fresh, no limp lettuce, it all looked freshly prepared. Taste wise the prawns were of the small previously frozen variety, the crab was bland, he enjoyed the mussels and the crevettes were nice. Found it strange that pickle is served with a prawn ploughman’s. Ham in the baguette was average. Paying over £30 a head for lunch , only one course each, not sure if we will return. The gardens and setting are beautiful, with lovely views of the bay. The website needs updating, as prices are very different now.

Having eaten here 3 times over the last few months my overall impression is underwhelming. The food, on the whole is fine, but the menu doesn’t seem to change, as a non meat eater this means a fairly boring choice. We have no plans to return in the near future

"Not been there since it changed hands" "It was really good but haven't been there since the old people left" was what we were told. Well, as a real fussy bugger about my food, let me tell you we're very pleased that we went to Mojacs tonight as it was fab! We had the scallops and the king prawns as starters, both were cooked to perfection. I was hesitate about the apple and parsnip puree that came with the scallops as thought it would be too sweet but not at all. We had the lamb chops and the pork belly (from the specials board) and again, they were both delicious and cooked fantastically well. Don't take my word for it, try it yourself as you will not be disappointed

Well, what can I say except BLOOMING DELICIOUS! Managed to grab a table last minute on a Saturday night. The little restaurant, about 8 or 9 tables, was full apart from a table for 2 which we bagged. The menu is small but packs a gastonomical sucker punch to the taste buds. We started with the grilled asparagus, gabiche (a sauce made with hard boiled egg yolk, mustard and oil) with parmesan and some garlic bread. The starter was so delicious, the asparagus cooked to perfection and topped with the sauce was so full of flavour, never had anything like it but would definitely order again. And the garlic bread really complimented it. For the main course my husband went for the Ventnor wild garlic radiatori (little radiator pasta shapes) with cashew pomegranate and I chose the sea bass. We shared the dishes and both were equally excellent. Not a morsel left on our plates and our tummies fully satisfied. We washed it all down with a bottle of rose, chosen by the owner, Dita. Dita is attentive and so knowledgeable, happy to explain each dish fully and help with choosing the food and or wine. The service was impeccable. This little restaurant is a must if you're visiting Ventnor. Perfect for every taste; meat eaters, pescetarians, vegetarians and vegans. Do book though as it does get busy. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Go see for yourself!

Great food, on par with the Royal Hotel, Ventnor but very slow service. Sat down at 1pm. Starter arrived at 1.30, main arrived at 2pm.

What a find! Popped in for brunch and ended up going back the next day before we left. Really lovely cafe, well decorated, light and airy, lovely location and view of the beach and pier. I had the full English and it was one of the bests I’ve had in a long time. Partner had the avo and halloumi and he loved it so much he had it again the next day. Well priced and good quality food, great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Genuinely some of the best food I've ever had - the salmon pasty was made of the flakiest, butteriest pastry I've ever eaten, filled with a generous amount of salmon and a lovely creamy sauce (dill I think?). Crab pasties looked lovely - I didn't have one, but those I was with did and said they were incredible, looked lovely even to me as someone who doesn't like seafood very much! Seating is limited but has a nice view of Steephill Cove, although you could also probably just leave and find a pretty spot to sit/.

Went to this pub as it came recommended by the person we rented the cottage from and several of the previous holidaymakers in the Guest Book. We went on our last night (a Friday) at 6.00pm. We had 2 dogs with us which meant we had to sit in the bar area. This area seemed to be full of regulars having their end of working week drinks. Whilst there is nothing wrong with that, it did mean it was very noisy, so if you are looking for a quiet meal, then this is not for you. The Steak & Ale pie, Belly Pork and Fish & Cips were all good, but not exceptional. The Peach & Rhubarb Crumble was a strange combination and the crumble on top wasn't cooked. I had something from the specials board, which was Nutella Brownie with custard. The Brownie was really dry and the taste of Nutella was largely absent. It wasn't an expensive meal and the staff were extremely poilte and attentive. There are lot's more pubs that are dog friendly in the area, so the next time I visit the island I'll probably give one of them a go!

Great meal, good service, Rang and booked the previous night, allowed to seat outside and then move inside if required- it wasn’t as the weather was kind to us. Great view over the harbour and ferry. All food was well presented and tasty.

The garden is sheltered from the wind and a bit of a sun trap. We spent a beautiful afternoon relaxing, chatting and soaking in the atmosphere of the garden over a couple of bottles of wine. Dog friendly (outside) too and the staff were friendly and warm. We made some cherished memories there and will be back again. Thank you.
