Lovely evening and brilliant staff. A warm friendly welcome and taken care of throughout the evening. Had the fillet steak and although a smaller steak it is worth it for the lovely flavour and not an ounce of fat on it! Had the toffee and apple bread and butter pudding to share after dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Will be back.

What a lovely country village coffee/tea room. A very wide range of teas, coffee, cakes, and pastries. Really friendly and helpful staff. I look forward to returning to try something from the main menu because it all looked delicious coming out of the kitchen. There's plenty of seating (at least there was on a week day), nice and warm inside, and an outside garden for the warmer days.

Last Tuesday I had the best dinner I have had in years...yes, really. I've been to all the gourmet pubs in this part of Surrey and this was, to my surprise, the best. The chef is called Adam and he is really really good. I promise you I have no connection with this pub. I don't know the owners, or the chef. The prices are very reasonable, 30% less than the Parrot for instance, which is up the road. We had three courses including one main which was the most expensive item on the menu, (venison as tender as fillet steak) and with drinks the bill for two was £103. Unfortunately we were the only customers at 8.15pm on a Tuesday. I just couldn't believe such a brilliant place was empty. (I believe some people ate earlier. Please please go to this beautiful pub for the best food ever. ( I left a review a year ago)

This little Village Pub is exquisite. The atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday Lunch before Christmas. The food was excellent All the better was the service by a guy called Jonny, that made me and my friend so welcome we have been back 4 times. I live at Kingston upon Thames so not on my doorstep but worth the trip.

My partner and I ordered a Sunday roast £24 each the portions are far too small for that price. The chef also needs to learn how cook potatoes. No organisation in pub either when it came to running the place. Poor show. Staff not trained properly. The pub couldn’t produce an itemised receipt. Really nice pub just poorly managed

This was by far the best Christmas meal, I have ever had. The food was piping hot and the staff were so friendly. My husband and I will definitely be going back again next year. This pub used to be one of my regulars over 30 years ago until I stopped travelling to Dorking. It has certainly kept its charm and wonderful food. Val

Came for lunch and I suspect many of the places in the area do a Sunday roast lunch with a reduced a la carte menu. Sadly I chose the roast pork with crackling. It was a bad choice on my part. There was nothing redeeming about this meal I'm afraid. The crackling was so hard that it was inedible. The pork dried out, the gravy from a packet and the vegetables undercooked and I suspect kept too long under heat lamps or similar, the yorkshire pudding raw in the middle. Truly awful food. On the upside, service was friendly, the beer cold, and garden stunning on a rare sunny afternoon in the UK! Such a shame.
