The best restaurants in Tillingbourne Guildford South East

We walk in Norbury Park most weeks starting at Crabtree Lane in Great Bookham. We usually aim to stop for a coffee at the van called Wild About Coffee which is located by the now sadly closed Saw Mill. It a great place to meet other walkers many with dogs. The service is welcoming. We pay by credit card.

Lovely local restaurant, food was excellent and the staff and service was friendly and efficient, bring your own Alcohol, i can highly recommend this place.

Warm place for a reviving lunch on a cold December day! Very friendly and efficient service, and tasty food.... three of us had the mushroom and thyme soup and it was really good. Panini also much-enjoyed, and good coffee. Nice clean facilities, too, with plenty of hot water. Only quibble....I appreciate this is a dog-friendly venue, as it's right by a very popular area for dog-walking, and whilst all the dogs in the cafe were very well-behaved, one owner was letting her Daschund stand on the seat meant for humans! I think this should be flagged up as a 'No no!' for diners, please!

A warm and friendly welcome for our cycling group lunch today. The service was so efficient and the food was excellent. We look forward to our next visit here!

Lovely evening and brilliant staff. A warm friendly welcome and taken care of throughout the evening. Had the fillet steak and although a smaller steak it is worth it for the lovely flavour and not an ounce of fat on it! Had the toffee and apple bread and butter pudding to share after dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Will be back.

Quite superb dinner with wonderful friends. Fabulous service, exceptional food and drink with a wide variety of meat fish pasta - something for everyone! Desserts and drink also terrific. Lovely setting - a special restaurant!

Great little ice cream trip! Decent selection of flavours although they could do with changing them up occasionally. Cute date idea to get an ice cream and walk around the village.

Been coming here for chips with a view for years. The chips are consistently good, crunchy and fresh.

Made a pit stop during a road bike ride with friends. Good and service were good. Good selection of snacks, including vegan ones.

I'll have to buy a coffee on my partner demand as it's bit windy. Little open space cafe with benches in a garden. Nice strong coffee and good service.

No LONGER a first class lunch at Kinghams. Great service in idyllic surroundings. Hey Jack I shall NOT be making further visits with business colleagues and friends. UPDATE 12 AUGUST 2022. SADLY WE NO LONGER VISIT THIS WONDERFUL RESTAURANT Reason... I would always go for the Steak on the menu but it is not to be found on the menu anymore. My partner suffers a fish allergy so that rules out much for her. My friends say let's go to Kinghams for lunch and we have to say NO. I Used to love lunch there with friends but it's not my sort of dining anymore such a shame that an English Restaurant does not offer a decent steak anymore. Sadly now overpriced and pretentious. And I'm NOT going Veggie. But good luck to you all for some great memories. Sadly the response from the management did not answer my question so have down graded my score.

Shere is a lovely little village. Dabbling Duck is an old school café, I love that style. Excellent coffee, lovely cakes, food. The staff is friendly, don't have to wait long to be served. One if my favourite cafés in Surrey.

Friendly staff , youthful vibe with lots of mountain bikers around and fine beer and food . We had a great lunch gathering !

This little Village Pub is exquisite. The atmosphere was perfect for a Sunday Lunch before Christmas. The food was excellent All the better was the service by a guy called Jonny, that made me and my friend so welcome we have been back 4 times. I live at Kingston upon Thames so not on my doorstep but worth the trip.

We went to celebrate my birthday, and we were not disappointed. This place lived up to its expectations and the food / service was impeccable all the way through. I had the sirloin which was cooked perfectly. There were a lot of us, and the staff looked after us very well. If you like your steaks, and traditional English pubs, this is the place to try. Will be returning to try the roasts which I have heard good things about !
