Newlands Cafe in Guildford

What a location. This new spot is my work from Car spot on recently. Parking right at the top of the hill with lovely views looking into the valley. Clean toilets. Lovely cafe. Tried bacon And Egg roll and it was delish.

Highly reccomend. Excellent staff who will do whatever they can to help .

Don't seem to have any vegan options except chips... In 2023 to not have any vegan specific options at such a busy cafe is very disappointing EDIT: Chips are cooked in the same frier as the meat.

After a lovely 5 mile walk yesterday with my border terrier I ordered a coffee and burger here. I asked if I could have some water for the empty stainless steel bowl for my thirsty dog. Refused. On h&s grounds I was told triumphantly. "You need to walk 50 yards down to the toilets." Could I have a glass of water then? "No. You need to walk down to the toilets!" Honestly. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth. And it did not improve the burger when it eventually came!

Delicious food at a very reasonable price and plenty of variety.

AMAZING sausage and egg bap, hot, perfectly toasted inside of bap with soft outside, scrumptious egg and sausage. Absolutely divine. Gobbled down, hence no pic available. Will be back for more.

Went for a quick bite to eat after a long walk. The food was hot and freshly cooked and was lovely. The staff was very friendly and helpful and will be back as the chocolate cake was awesome .

Nice little cafe serves good food with seating outside which is good on dry days as there's no indoor seating. Good toilets.

Low quality tasteless food burgers very low meat content burnt dry burgers. no milkshakes chips were ok was a real shame as usually very satisfying will use again because of years of great food. Friendly people shame about the quality!

I had a cup of tea here overlooking a stunning view! A good cuppa, nice and hot! My only comment is the lid on the tea cup wasn’t on properly and the side was dented. Only noticed it as my tea dropped down my hand. But apart from that the staff were really friendly and tea was really good!

This is and always been one of my families favourite beauty spots, where the food and staff at the cafe are all amazing. I would definitely recommend to everyone and I always do.

Very good crunchy veggie burger and crunchy outside soft inside chips but they need salt as there wasn’t any on it

Love the bacon bap🤩🤩🤩 and chips option. Probably anything else on the menu is good too, but we always eat the same….🙂

The best bacon roll you will find. Trust me. The fries are A1 as well. Victoria sponge a treat. Friendly staff. Not too busy on a week day. Bang on!

Burger and chips were ok but the tea was not nice, tasted like dishwater.

This is an amazing cafe, been going ever since I was little with my parents. I now bring my children and grand children. Can't help spending lots because the food is amazing.

Well as a biker seen, it's okay 👍 nice motorcycles, car's as well nice to see the Lambourgenes rush out, all nine, nice cuppa nice chatting to other's how got the same thing. Fabb.

Usually love the food here. But today the veggie burgers were awful !!! A different type were used and we couldn't eat them !! Curry flavour and awful !!! Coffee was only warm. Shame as usually this is a great place to eat. Just an off day hopefully 🤞🏻

Quick service and good value food to take away and nice coffee. Free car park. Seating to eat food with beautiful views over the countryside. Eaten here a few times and always hot simple good vale food.

Lovely spot for coffee, tea and cakes. Not sure why people give negative feedback to the cafe because toilets are out of action and rubbish is left everywhere. That's down to the people visiting Newlands Corner. Leave no trace is what everyone should do. Keep a rubbish bag in your vehicles and take the litter with you.

Who's complaining about the toilets being closed is a lightweight... Deal with it and enjoy rather than looking for rubbish to say... Looks and smells good today 😊

Covid system in place . Limited success people disregarding social distancing. Toilets closed but hasn't stopped people go round the back place stinks and used tissues everywhere. Litter all over the place carpark rammed on the Saturday I went

Simple cafe, friendly staff, a great place to meet after a ride or walk.

Decent food and plenty of parking space - a favourite for car meets, bike meets, bike trails and more. Be courteous to the people and families and avoid altercations. Highly recommended!

Great place to stop at always a happy welcome and great food

Good food at good prices, lots of parking, can get pretty busy on nice days, especially at the weekend when there are a lot of bikes out

Great destination for a rideout, with some really enjoyable roads locally. Always a few bikes at Newlands Corner and at the weekends there are guaranteed to be loads often on their way to or from Box Hill, Guildford Harley, Vines BMW or Destination Triumph. I would have given 5 stars but the service at Newlands Cafe is always painfully slow - they could learn a thing or two from Ryka's at Box Hill who are always busier but serve you much quicker.

This cafe is quite popular and busy. Coffee and food are good and the price is reasonable. There is a big parking space for cars and bikes.
