My daughter organised a party for me here last weekend , it was amazing , altogether there was 18 of us and their was lots of different dishes ordered and it all came in a good time considering there was a lot of people in the party, the service all night was amazing and as always curtious and friendly going above and beyond . Thank you all . Food great . Staff very accommodating . Fantastic evening xxx

We had a lovely evening meal last weekend. The atmosphere of the place was contagious. Very relaxing. Food came out quickly. Lovely presented but most importantly it was delicious. Would hight recommend!!

We popped in here based on the reviews but were disappointed. My partner ordered the shaslick which was not that spicy or flavoursome and I a biryani. We bumped into some friends there who also thought the food was mediocre.

The delivery was good and on time. The meat plater for two was very small and meat was overcooked. Asked for extra garlic in tharka Dahl but didn't taste like I had any. The monkfish is missing from the plater. After spoken with management the problem was very quickly resolved. Many thanks for your service and excellent management.

Absolutely brilliant atmosphere and brilliantly cooked food , I have been out to few restaurants around the area and out of all Lavang stood out. Hats off to the team in there. Definitely recommended and will be returning soon. Thank you

It was very loud due to a drunken birthday celebration but the staff managed the situation very well. Its a nice place to go for a meal out.

I visited a restaurant on Friday evening and had a wonderful experience. The dish I ordered was freshly cooked and delicious. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly, making sure all customers were well taken care of. The atmosphere was amazing, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal. The drinks were also excellent. In short, it was a fantastic dining experience.

The best curry in the area, with traditional dishes + specialties which are definitely worth trying.

If not their 1st customer, I was most certainly their 2nd upon opening. Had high hopes for this place (as it'd always had a fabulous reputation under the previous owner). Sadly not. I'd avoided the place for several years. Their attitude stank. But, a couple of my neighbours said it was excellent. So, fair's fair, I gave them another chance. Food quality was still very sub-standard, and – after previous redness from this establishment – I didn't even bother to tell them. My understanding is that Lavang can be truly excellent, but, if there's a problem, they're the most arrogant restaurant you'll ever have the misfortune of visiting. My advice remains: AVOID

It was our first visit, but wont be the last! We chose dishes from the Specialities menu which were delicious. Just the right size of portion and the side dishes complemented our choices perfectly. Everything was excellent: welcome, service, food and price. We will definitely go again. Linda & Paul.

I’ve left one star, didn’t even want to go that high! First time visiting and first impressions I thought, a nice restaurant with a nice vibe. However, the waiting time for the food was far too slow, over an hour. When we asked to order our main we were advised that we needed to wait?? The restaurant was not that busy, so odd! We could hear the rumblings of discontent around us with the wrong order coming out (their fault apparently) and other people waiting too long. When I questioned the wait and advised other people complaining, I was confronted by two staff questioning why I was saying this? Really strange behaviour and quite aggressive. So in short, we won’t be going back and I would avoid if I were you.

This is the best Indian restaurant/any restaurant i have eaten at for along time. Customer service was 100%, attentive staff and the food was absolutely delicious! We will be back for more!

What is not to love about this great Indian restaurant. The food is always spot on and freshly cooked. The staff are very attentive but not over bearing. We always feel welcome and made to feel special however busy the restaurant is. I highly recommend this restaurant. Do try it and you will be happily impressed

I have been to Lavang many times when visiting family in Ash Vale and highly recommend it. All meals are really tasty. Especially all their speciality dishes, of which the Afgani Lamb is my favourite. They also do various fish curries which are also excellent. Service is very good as well.

Absolutely delicious as always and we love the staff here as they are always so lovely when we visit ( which is on a regular basis 🫢😁😁) if you haven't been you really should and have the la vang mixed grill the lamb chops are just delightful and the chicken shashlik is soooo yummy xx always a pleasure to dine in here ❣️❣️

I would like to say, the attitude of the chef was disgusting…. 13/6/24, so, as a family we have frequented this place many times and have always experienced a wonderful experience, food and flavours have been second to none, however this evening was awful, probably one of the worst services I’ve had, 1st issue was- from popadoms to main dish was over an hour wait and when we asked why, it was due to the chef making the dish from chicken and not lamb as requested, so clearly had to start again 2. When the meals were served one option was warm (as if placed in the hot plate-dry dish, while waiting for the correct dish to be cooked)when we bought this to the attention of the waiting staff, they relayed this to the chef and in turn he came out, is attitude was rude, aggressive and very arrogant, to which we as a collective asked him to leave so we could try to eat our meal, when I spoke to the front of house staff who was leaning against the side informing me that he was the boss and pretty much attitude of ‘tough’ The dish that required making again was like boot leather, it was a dish I travel miles/hours for but I won’t be doing this again All 3 dishes were not as we have thoroughly enjoyed on previous visits! From our previous experience to today I am sad to say I will be expressing my thoughts to family and friends to warn them of the changes of this establishment and to avoid

Not a Gastronomy, for vegetarians. There are very few vegetarian options. The Aubergine main dish was very nice but our starters, the biryani and Dal side were average or below. No mango lassi, “various J2Os” was 1 flavour only. The music was a really annoying royality mix of tunes you know well but played badly so there are no fees to pay.

Absolutely perfect in every way. Food delicious and hot, staff very attentive and friendly and atmosphere great. Cannot fault this delightful restaurant at all. We first came here a couple of years ago and haven’t been anywhere else since. Highly recommend.

Food is good but beware when ordering wine as they try to fob you off with a cheaper version of what is on the list. We ordered a St Emillion and they delivered a cheaper Bordeaux without even saying that it was a different wine. So we changed to a a Spanish bottle and that wasn't what was on the menu either !!

I recently visited Lavang and had a great experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious and flavorful, and the atmosphere was inviting. The drinks were also well-crafted. Overall, Lavang exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning.

Went to Lavang last night there was 12 of us in our party as we walked in we had a nice welcoming. The food was AMAZING all hot and very tasty ,all the staff were very polite and very helpful I would DEFINITELY recommend this restaurant 10 out of 10 Wayne

I had a very nice meal (Amm Dia and Pilao Rice) the other evening. The service was impeccable - much better than most restaurants. Personally I would like the drinks to be a bit cheaper so maybe I will have a takeaway next time.

If you're in the mood for an incredible Indian dining experience, look no further than La Vang. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel welcomed by the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. The food, as always, was very good, but we waited almost 30 minutes for our order to be taken and 75 mins for our food to arrive. At one point, there was a 20-minute period where no one in the entire restaurant had food on their tables. Meanwhile, orange take away bags were being rushed out of the kitchen every few minutes. Restaurant diners are suffering poor service because the staff are choosing to prioritise phone and Deliveroo orders. They either need to put a limit on the number of take away orders they can fulfil, because at the moment they are clearly swamped, or do a better job of juggling restaurant diners and take away orders. If they don't, it risks alienating loyal customers like us. That would be a real shame, because the food itself is always very good.

Razan and his amazing team supplied food for my son’s and his wife’s baby shower! The food was Top Quality as always and everyone was fully fed! Razan even supplied us with his amazing Onion bhajis as a surprise!! Honestly we cannot thank you enough! X

Lavangs catered for our baby shower and the food was excellent, all the guests loved it! The communication was also amazing. I would not hesitate to recommend their services!

So first time at this Restaurant, got seated very quickly, drinks arrived in good time. Tried to order and told they would take in a minute. Even though 2 waiters were walking around doing nothing. Ordered 3 popadoms and chutney but then noticed it was a set price wasn’t told whether that was 4 or 6, chutneys were smaller than usual and the standard diced onion and cucumber wasn’t their but onion and something. Not sure what . From ordering to getting the food took 40 minutes ( was thinking of waking out at this point ) any way food turned up and it turne out to be ok, so 🌟🌟🌟from me will try again

I just love this indian restaurant it's my number one place to eat. All the staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. There food is absolutely delicious and always so fresh and scrummy, well worth a visit . I always have there poppadoms and there chutney is divine but once I start I can't stop eating them they are the best ever. The chicken balti is my favorite dish served with Lavang onion rice .

Lamb vindaloo and bombay potatoes, you'd think it would be difficult to get it so wrong but Lavang managed to do just that. Service was fine but has an odd niche where speaking to one front of house staff would then be relayed to the senior manager to execute. Anyway, back to the food. Lamb vindaloo, the gravy was bland, tasteless and not fresh ingredients, the lamb itself was over cooked and very stringy. Bombay Aloo, again very tasteless but also dry, undercooked , semi hard potatoes. Disappointed. This was mentioned to the senior front of house staff member when asked how my meal was but offered nothing to rectify this conundrum. The positives, very good atmosphere and was quite busy with what seemed like a lot of happy people dining.

I live 15 miles away from here but work just around the corner , my local Indian has gone down hill and looking for a really decent place to get an Indian Just tried this place for a takeaway tonight 21-3-2024 and I can’t describe in words how perfect it was, the lamb , every bit was tender , best lamb I’ve ever had , korma was creamy rich but not overpowering , vindaloo was amazing , rice naan tikka starter , best Indian by far , wish I would of got from here sooner, gave me poppadms, chutneys, salad the lot on the house You will sure be seeing me again , a really well priced , good quality dine in or take away Thank you Lavang see you soon Massive respect for your chefs ❤️ 22-3-2024 Went in and ordered again tonight, lamb jalfrezi aloo gobi lavang rice and yet again absolutely flawless lamb tender , full of flavour And great service, it is Friday and had to wait a little longer but they was busy so understandable

Fantastic Culinary Experience. This is not your normal Indian; it is in a class of its own. The staff and management team listen to you and create dishes designed to meet your requirements

1st time to try this very friendly restaurant. With a different menu & traditional food options. We ordered the meat platter to start, this was excellent. Followed by Chicken Karmasutra which was fresh & tender in a hot sauce. Also the Afgi Lamb which I found to be slightly overcooked for myself but the sauce & flavors were super. We will return, a refreshing change of cuisine.

We had a takeaway, ordered first thing in the morning, selected the delivery time, food delivered bang within the window and was absolutely delicious, excellent quality and I highly recommended the specials, afghani lamb was amazing. Thank Le Vang, I was not disappointed at all, delicious.

The lavang gastronomy has one of the great Indian restaurants in Ash Vale. Their has number of dishes which are qualities and demandable.Some of like Afgani Lamb, Lal Mas, Karahi Chicken and Dumpak Kufte.

Lavang is a great little restaurant with a cozy feel and lots of tasty dishes. They make really nice Onion Bhaji and delicious Salmon sashlik karahi. The people who work there are super friendly and always ready to help you pick something suitable for your taste. They know a lot about the food, so you feel taken care of. It's not just about the food – the staff really seems to enjoy making your meal special. Everything is so good that anyone who loves food should check out Lavang. We went to the restaurant on 31 to celebrate our new year’s.This turned out opposite worst food no taste, behaviour of the staff were ignorant and on the top manager came to us and said he knows better how the curry tastes,as Paneer curry was sweet.we went there to have an authentic Indian food but worthless. Not recommend, don’t waste your time and money on them. Zero hospitality.

14 Members revisited this cracking little venue and were welcomed by the Manager. An extensive menu is available including many bespoke dishes unique to LaVang, including some new ones since the Club’s previous visit. It was also clear that the staff could speak with authority on the ingredients and flavours of these dishes when asked. Our service was across two tables, and although the meals arrived with a gap between the two, all were delivered accurately and piping hot. Whilst we were the only diners, the footfall of takeaway collections was noted so this is obviously very popular locally. Very welcoming, a great evening was had by all, and the meal proved to be excellent value for money - IC

Had a lovely meal with friends ruined by the unpleasant and unfriendly attitude of, who I assume, is the manager. We were rushed through our evening (constantly trying to take our plates away before we had finished) and given about 30 seconds to look at dessert menu before being harassed for a decision. I told the waiter I may order an after meal coffee in a while, after our wine, only to be immediately presented with the bill. Quickly followed aggressively being told we had to pay right now as they were closing soon (this was at 9:50!!) and we had to leave! I told the manager we had only just ordered a bottle of wine, and we wanted to at least finish it, and pointed out they should have told us that if we ordered wine we might not have time to drink it. He barked at the waiter “Is this true?”, and the waiter confirmed it was, indeed, true. We were also then barked at with "We close at 10, we close at ten!" and told to take the rest of the wine with us! We paid and left with our bottle of wine, and they relieved themselves of any tip. I have never experienced this kind of treatment here, or anywhere else, before. Such a shame as the food was actually rather good. So sad. We have been coming here every year and always been so looked after. We are 3 working ladies who look to catch up and have a safe evening. Tonight, the team were rude and hostile, shuffling us through service and throwing us out before cabs had been secured. Historically, cabs have been sorted (clearly paid by us) by the Management. Tonight, the Management we're just interested in taking our money and leaving us out on the street. #NotImpressed #Hopethisisread.

We had a takeaway last night and sadly on this occasion we were disappointed I had same dish that I had had previously about 6 pieces of chicken and loads of sauce Husband did not enjoy his either and to be honest was not that hot temperature wise . One freebie poppadom . Not had a takeaway for quite a while due to money A shame I hope was a one off

Great service and beautiful food. My wife is coeliac and we were informed all food is made with gram flour (Chickpeas) and rice flour. For the first time in years my wife had onion bhajis and naan bread. Fabulous meal. Thank you.

Down in Farnborough for the ITT Hub in May. Found this great restaurant. Served a selection of Curry's not had before that tasted wonderful. Service was excellent Couldn't fault and would visit again next time in the area.

This must of been my 10th time eating in at lavang with friends. The service is always friendly and attentive. The food is so consistent every time it tastes just as nice as the last, the chefs do not have an off day. Delicious dishes at a very fair price point in a cosy setting. I would personally recommend the achari paneer starter and the special naan to accompany your curry of choice. Looking forward to the next meal already.

Hands down the best dansaak I've ever had. I've collected as takeaway but wished I'd had it to dine in because the restaurant is lovely and Staff are so so welcoming. Perfect place to go to for a meal with friends or a date night. I'm will 100% be returning and recommending to friends
