Côte Guildford in Guildford

We had a lovely meal on Friday, I had the mussels bowls in white wines sauce the mussels Is supper fresh ! I had a lovely fruity mule cocktail with ginger beer mixed it really refreshing compliments to the bar ! Friendly staff and quiet atmosphere.

We had early dinner here for a birthday. Staff very friendly. I had French Onion Soup, Pork Belly - the soup was lovely, the pork belly consisted of alot of fat & very dry - chewy pork - which was disappointing. My husband had duck which he said was delicious.

Lunchtime for two. "Prix Fixe" 2 courses and a drink each was £50 including tip. A good price for the quality of the food here, it's outstanding. Excellent all round.

We had a wonderful time at this charming spot—excellent food, quick service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Thomas took care of our order with such attention and kindness, making the experience even more enjoyable. We left completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit.

It might be a franchise but it's a franchise for a good reason as you can expect the same quality every time regardless of which destination you go to. I had the fixed menu and I was very impressed with the quality and the service

We went for our anniversary to côte and we loved it. The food was excellent and the service was lovely and timely. I absolutely loved the desserts we got (Yuzu Grand Macaron and Cafe Gourmande). The main dish I had was Poulet Breton and I found it very tasty but a bit dry - it was still great. I would recommend Côte to anyone for a nice dinner!

Lovely meal, pre theatre. It’s the perfect place to go before a show. Service was excellent, Kosta or Kosti was a gentleman and also good at recommending dishes. Had a nice time.

Lovely staff. Very mediocre food. Nothing cooked fresh on the premises. Not good enough. Interesting example of good brand/concept trashed by corporate behaviour.

The difference between the Cote in Guildford and the one in Farnham is crystal clear. The people. In one the dining experience is warm, welcoming, attentive and customer orientated, in the other you are made to feel like an inconvenience, blocking a table and not paying enough to be worth their attention. The Guildford branch trumps Farnham on every measure and it is the quality of the management and staff that makes a world of difference.

We had a very enjoyable breakfast. The atmosphere is great, the staff very kind and attentive, and the food and drinks very tasty!

The waiter that served as was so friendly, me and my friend enjoyed talking to him. He has a good vibe. The steak and fries is good. The pumpkin soup wasn’t good too sickening after few sip

Exactly what you'd expect. Reliably cooked food, good prix fix menu and prompt service. Friendly for kids.

Fab experience from the moment we arrived. We had the steak sharer and it did not disappoint, it was absolutely delicious! Every single morsel was eaten and thoroughly enjoyed and steak was cooked perfectly. Staff were all happy and attentive which made the atmosphere cosy and warm and inviting. Just lush.

Côte in Guildford is our go-to spot, and it never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is exceptional. Eve is a fantastic manager—so professional and friendly—and Costa and Theo are brilliant too. The whole team makes you feel so welcome. Easily one of the best places to eat in Guildford!

Great food. Cote du Bouef steak a little salty

Disappointing! While my coffee arrived quickly it was so small it took sips to empty it before the food arrived. The breakfast food was not hot. All parts of the dish were tepid at best. Does no one check this? The bread was nice and fresh with plenty of butter. I'm not rushing back.

All very nice - it is our 'go-to' for date night, good choice of tables and menu options, good pricing and you just know you will enjoy the meal/experience

It was my brother's birthday and Guildford Côte were absolutely brilliant. A nice complimentary drink and sang Happy Birthday with a candle lit dessert. The atmosphere was a cosy Autumn early evening. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was just right and most of all the food was thoroughly enjoyed by all. A truly delightful visit. Thank you Côte, Guildford. Will be revisiting very soon. 💝💝💝

It’s a very happy and wonderful lunch time with my daughter.She liked the orange confit duck leg so much. For me the pork belly was very special and yummy.The atmosphere was so relaxing and the team was very polite and friendly with smiling face!Good service at all!We would highly recommend our friends and family to have an amazing gathering here.

The blonde server was so rude and decided to leave my plate after taking 6 other people's plate, she forgot to take my order and I ordered the same thing as one of the other people I came with. Waited for my food for over 1 hour, while everyone I came with tucked in. WOULD NEVER REC TO ANYONE!

Friday lunchtime visit, had the prix fixe menu. Bacon salad starter, chicken main, cheeses to finish and a large glass of red wine. Each course was well presented and delicious. My wife had soup to start, the chicken and then banana crepes and she was delighted with those. £34 a head including service charge. Service was attentive and efficient. A nice experience. This chain is really excellent.

I like this place! I went a few times with friends, we had different food and deserts and we liked everything in this restaurant! The service was good, so friendly and with a cosy atmosphere.

I went to cote today and the service was honestly very high quality. I ordered a gratin and requested it comes with chicken as I enjoy the traditional gratin. At cote the chicken is corn-fed which is something im not used to so I wasnt happy with it however the waitress attending to us was very professional and kind. She noticed my discomfort and sorted it out of the bill for me. I personally appreciate the extra care in detail and I am grateful for the waitress going out of her way, very pleased with the level of hospitality and service provided.

We have always loved Cote, Guildford, and this latest visit didn't disappoint... The food was really good, and our server, Ahija was so attentive and engaging. For a chain restaurant, Cote always stands out in the individuality of its restaurants, and the result is, in our experience, always good.

Great lunch from walking in the door until leaving a couple of hours later

A solid 4 star. Good service and the food was hot and well presented. It did lack flavour because of seasoning, however so wouldn’t make this my first choice for brunch in Guildford.

Visited at the beginning of the week. The place was really quiet. We walked in & honestly, we’ve had better greetings. A polite Hi how can I help, would’ve been nice. We walked past who I can only assume was the Manager, who lacked any friendliness & looked disgruntled, that we had walked in. We ordered a eggs Benedict, a Cote breakfast & a child’s breakfast. The eggs on the Benedict came out hard, as did the poached eggs with the breakfast. Really disappointing, as I wasn’t expecting to get hard boiled eggs. However, when we addressed this with the young man- he was quick to rectify it & swiftly came back with 4 soft poached eggs on a new plate. Although, minus the rest of my breakfast bits, that he must’ve forgotten was on the plate he had taken. He was the reason I gave 2 stars, for the service. As he was helpful, friendly & efficient in sorting the issue. We use to visit this Cote a while back & it was a lot better then. Throughly disappointed this time.

Had a great time here on a Sunday evening. Service (blonde lady with amazing smile) was exemplary: attentive, helpful, professional, engaging... Everything really. Excellent work. Food was delicious. I'm a bit a French foodie but I couldn't find fault at all. Restaurant was clean, as were the toilets and for a Sunday evening the atmosphere was good. Excellent work all round would revisit (in fact we did, the following evening as there's plenty on the menu not to get bored quickly... Our waitress that evening was equally as good, dark haired, maybe Spanish lady... Who knows, I'm guessing!). Anyway, this is the best Côte I've been to and worth checking out if you're in or around Guildford.

Impeccable service! It is a relief that good quality food and service still exists. 3 courses and 2 drinks each for just under £90 for the quality of food and taste is amazing. The staff were evening training new staff whilst we went but if you don’t eat out much, you wouldn’t have even noticed. Also a big must to try is the matcha eclair. Thank you Côte for making my partners birthday meal so special.

Last service on a Sunday sitting. Well looked after ordinarily, this visit waiter spilled wine on my friend and brought out chipped glasses. Food was high quality traditional English, but steaks slightly overdone. Despite this I would go back at a more reasonable timing.

Fantastic restaurant and great experience

A huge thank you to our waitress Aggie (I hope I’m spelling that right!) who helped my family this evening when we visited. Aggie was so kind and helpful for us and she was an absolute delight to meet! The food was also outstanding, we’ve been going to Cote for years and the food tonight was some of the best we’ve had - we suspect there might be a new head chef. Everything about this French restaurant is lovely. The food, the service, the ambience, even the price. The first I tried was in May 2019 in Hampstead, and I’ve hooked ever since. I’d definitely go again when I visit the UK next time. 🥰

The chocolate sauce is delicious. ⭐️Creme Caramel This is the most outstanding thing all the time. I want to eat this pudding.

The Cote de Boeuf is excellent even if at a considerable price. It is still the restaurant where I ate best in England.

Côte is quite widespread in the UK and in terms of quality, as a chain it's not bad at all. I really like their Alpine Chocolat Chaud, adding chocolate sauce and vanilla cream to the warm milk and it bubbles, very tasty to drink 😋! My Fish Stew was also quite good to eat, but the steaks were just so-so, frying it at home would be better 😅! #KissKidsFamily

Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was cozy. Unfortunately the food is quite average, it didn't really wow us and it was okay at best.

I'm a great fan of Cote Guildford but very disappointed today. The French Toast was changed, loads of Creme Fraiche on top with sparse amount of fruit. Please consider changing this back to usual standard with lashing of fruit & small amount of Creme Fraiche. Staff were fabulous as always making us welcome with great service from Valentine, Kosta & Eve.

took my family of 6 to lunch last Sunday and would certainly not recommend sirloin steak which I and my son ordered. It was very chewy with grissle on the perimeter of both steaks. I asked for rare and it arrived well done. I chose not to complain at the table due to my young grandchildren present. On paying the expensive bill at the end I made my comments to the manager who seemed not in the slightest interested and was in fact somewhat dismissive of my feedback. She took down my email but two days later received no feedback. Typical of a company trading on its name rather than quality of food in my experience. It is generally not as good as it purports to be.

We place this restaurant top of the table for pre-theatre supper in Guildford. The selection of dishes is excellent, value for money very good and the attentive, rapid, polite service is a winner.

Attended Cote Guildford with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. Ordered 3 English breakfasts. My grandson chose poached eggs on toast. The English breakfasts consisted of a large uncooked rockhard tomato taking up considerable space on the plate, cold insipid tasting bacon, a sausage that tasted like sawdust, fatty lukewarm mushrooms and potato wedges. A very unsatisfactory and disappointing experience. PS The above complaint has been satisfactory addressed by Cote and I'm very happy with the very positive outcome. As the saying goes, "There's always a next time."

Very disappointed as wherever we are if we need a meal. Cote is our go-to restaurant as our local Cote is always reliable for pleasant meal. Staff off hand, food not ip to normal expectations.

This was a pre-show meal. The food was served efficiently, it tasted good and the service was friendly and welcoming. Despite relatively short time scales my wife and I ate in a relaxed atmosphere and left in good time for the show. It was a great way to start an evening out.
