The best restaurants serving British food in Eastbourne South East

Popping down to Eastbourne on two occasions recently to view property we stumbled up this marvellous unpretentious cafe in the Meads (not far from 2 Estate Agents!). The service was exemplary and the food by Tara, the owner, was superb. The americano coffees were excellent. I had 3 different cheeses, pickled onions, perfect salad for my cheese platter and ONLY £7.50. Every time from now on we will use this cafe!

What a find! A lovely, spacious and spotlessly clean cafe with very friendly staff and lovely freshly cooked food. Whats not to like?

Popped in here after long walk on the seafront, had the wings OhSoTasty!!! Washed down with Ice cold Peroni. Gr8 service and what a view... even saw 2 swimmers braving the sea!!! Only complaint no Coronas.

pensé que me iba a edad Reino Unido. este restaurante está en el complejo. tiene un precioso ambiente hogareño y acogedor ambiente con personal muy servicial. perdí el lunes pudding gratuito ya que fui un martes! El menú es corto pero no puedo culpar a las comidas, aperitivos, platos principales y postres son geniales y a un precio razonable. Mi primera opción para el almuerzo en Eastbourne.

My wife and I recently had a function at All Saints Chapel and if we could give it more stars...we would. Ever since our first meeting with Dariana she has gone above and beyond to make our function the most special time possible, and it truly was. The chapel was the only venue we saw and instantly fell in love with it - if you're looking for the wow factor....this place has it in spades!! We were meant to have our function in May 2020 but due to covid this was put on hold - however Dariana was just amazing - she kept everything on hold without charging extra like so many other venues we read about had done with other functions - nothing is too much trouble for this lady, she is simply first class. We had the most exceptional afternoon tea, the building looked stunning and it was the most perfect day in every way possible. Would highly recommend this wonderful place for your function. Always a pleasure to dine at the college restaurant. Students were attentive and polite good great.

Don't waste your time. These Jokers can't even stick to their advertised opening times. I arrived for a spot of lunch Ormiston hour before they advertised closing time and they were shut. The women said they decided to close early because they were not busy. Three guesses why they are not busy if they can't stick to their opening times. I will not be wasting my time or petrol to come to this place in future.

My partner and I went here for some lunch, we had toasted sandwiches and the best bowl of proper chips to share. I am writing this review not just for the good food, lovely homely atmosphere but also for the friendly service. My partner paid by cash and he paid and we got up to leave and walk out and the owner a lovely gentleman stopped us just before we walked out of the front door and gave my partner back a £20.00 note explaining that when he paid two £20.00 notes were stuck together. Such honets service which you wouldn't always get everywhere. Thank you and we will be back for your lovely food and genuine service.

Had a lovely meal at the 1912 great atmosphere and added bonus of a very good singer Tom Fitzpatrick for some entertainment during the evening, will be returning

Very oily, soggy chips and the “grilled” huss was also very oily. The box it came in was saturated with oil. It all went in the bin. We won’t be ordering again.

This is a delightful little restaurant set away from the main seafront, but only a few minutes walk away from the city centre. It offers Romanian Italian menu with some really nice starters and rain courses and very affordable wine because we had a dog we sat outside and sunshine was lovely evening in spring. The service was absolutely fabulous. I know it’s something just wonderful about soaking up the late afternoon sunshine for a glass of wine and some anti-pastil

Without doubt the best fish & chip shop in Eastbourne. Amazing chips, huge portions of fish, super friendly service. Always busy - top tip phone your order ahead 😊

Great local pub, always served very quickly, all staff very polite and welcoming.
