Morgans Restaurant Bistro in Eastbourne

This is a delightful little restaurant set away from the main seafront, but only a few minutes walk away from the city centre. It offers Romanian Italian menu with some really nice starters and rain courses and very affordable wine because we had a dog we sat outside and sunshine was lovely evening in spring. The service was absolutely fabulous. I know it’s something just wonderful about soaking up the late afternoon sunshine for a glass of wine and some anti-pastil

We were a table of 6, our waitress was very attentive and the food very tasty. Everything arrived together and we had a lovely evening.

With so many equally rated restaurants to choose from we looked at a few from the outside. Morgan's looked very well presented with gleaming windows and beautifully set tables. The menu looked good so we managed to squeeze a lunch time booking in. The staff were friendly and the restaurant had a nice chilled vibe. We both chose roast dinners. There were very generous portions of meat. Vegetables were fresh. If I was being really picky personally I would have liked less meat and more vegetables but nevertheless the dinner was tasty. I finished off with a Tiramisu which is the best I have had for a long time. The bill was reasonable. We will definitely be back.

Delicious lamb chop; crispy charred exterior and tender meat that melts in your mouth; prefect with pair with the wine. Nice ambience.

Beautiful night out, the food was amazing and there was enough to eat will be coming back as regular customers for sure.

What a lovely restaurant in Eastbourne off the main drag just turned up at lunch time lucky to get a table as they were busy staff very friendly food exceptional and prices were reasonable would recommend but best to book

What a good experience! Eight of us in a group. Food was very good quality indeed. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good choice of dishes and wines, clean, fresh pleasant decor - including clean loos! Everything was good except for a dely between starters and main but the restaurant was very full, just pre-Christmas. I have been told by regulars that this was unusual. A very enjoyable evening.

Hidden gem in Eastbourne. I have walked passed this restaurant many, many times and have always wanted to try it. I went with family and wow what an experience. Atmosphere cosy, food delicious and hot and served on fabulous crockery too. Full menu and something for everybody. Lovely wine list. We have already booked to return and passed the word around to everyone. You won't be disappointed

rudest delivery driver who could not find my accomadation..said he'd been texting but I never got a text food was stone cold and I had to walk down the street to get it myself...the food was total ruined by not even being warm..andxthe driver was extremely rude to me

We have been frequenting Morgan's since 2012 and have never had a bad meal or experience. Last Sunday we popped in for a roast dinner and it was superb. Generally speaking we have never been inclined to eat Sunday lunch out as they have proved to be somewhat disappointing and not as good as I cook! This was by far better than anywhere else and as good as my roast dinners. Natasha and Lucy are a brilliant front of house team and, as usual, looked after us wonderfully well. Booked a table for 2 for my birthday lunch. I chose the venue above another high quality well known restaurant in Eastbourne because of the facilities all being on a single level as my wife has recently had a knee replacement. The service is amazing with well trained attentive staff at front of house. The menu is in my opinion extensive enough to satisfy most palates. The food was very high quality, flavoursome and thoroughly enjoyable. We had the full three courses, each a great experience. Wine choices are good, we settled on a very palatable Chenin Blanc. 10/10. An overall brilliant experience.

I recently attended a meeting at this restaurant and I must say, the staff and service were impeccable. They couldn't have done a better job. The menu offered a great selection of competitively priced wines, and overall, the other meals enjoyed by my companions were excellent. However, I unfortunately had a bit of a letdown with my pasta and chicken dish. Regrettably, the chicken in my dish didn't sit right with me, and I had to discreetly remove it from my mouth with a napkin during a business meeting. The awkward situation aside, I chose not to raise the issue given the setting. Instead, I focused on the pasta portion of the dish, which was very good. It's worth noting that the feedback on the other two meals was positive, so it seems like my experience might have been an isolated incident. Despite this hiccup, I would consider giving this restaurant another chance. I appreciated the overall ambiance and service, and I believe that perhaps the chicken dish was just having an off day. I'd be willing to return and potentially retry the same dish. Overall, I still see potential in this restaurant and would be willing to give it another shot.

High expectations but sadly disappointed celebrating our anniversary - little or no atmosphere food mediocre & to you it all paper table clothes & £40 a head. Better options !!!

This was our second visit to this little gem of a restaurant only because it’s a 75 mile round trip or it would certainly be more often 👍 The food is delicious and hot with good sized portions. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We can only say if you’re in Eastbourne give it a try you certainly won’t be disappointed

Plesent meal with good service. Restaurant was quiet with one other customer inside and a few outside as it was a pleasant although cool evening. Food was not as good (stand out) as my previous visits. Perhaps because of my different choices and having shell fish with red wine... never a good match. Will be back and update....

First time at this restaurant and very impressed with service and food. Our waiter was friendly, didn’t rush you although they were busy. We had spicy penne with chicken and spaghetti bolognaise, couple of glasses of wine and was reasonably priced. Would make a point of going again next time visiting Eastbourne.

After a disappointing and disastrous day at the Eastbourne air show , we needed to finish off our day on a high. This wonderful restaurant certainly put us in good spirits serving up delicious food at a reasonable price. The staff were helpful and friendly. Well done and thank you.

Eastbourne seems to have loads of restaurants serving Italian food but Morgan's had high scores and was very close to our holiday rental. Morgan's did not disappoint. The serving staff were well versed with the menu and wine list (something you can never assume) and the restaurant was encouragingly busy on a Monday evening. Both of our salmon dishes were beautifully prepared and some wines were available in a 500ml carafe which was very helpful. Service was friendly, professional and unpressured. A very good evening out!

Great experience in Morgan's. Very pleasant staff. We had a small group, all with different dishes. All the starters were very reasonably priced and beautifully presented. I thought the asparagus looked and tasted splendid. Likewise the mains. The escalope of veal came in a lovely mushroom sauce and was quite superb. Calves liver and bacon melted in the mouth, again with a lovely sauce. Desserts weren't sampled. However, the wine list was, there being an excellent selection. #1 in my view.

We visited on a Monday lunchtime and thankfully Morgans is one restaurant which opens on a Monday lunchtime. The set menu offered choices our party wanted although desserts were a tad expensive so we did not partake. Although Morgans is a small, friendly restaurant there was a steady flow of customers while we dined but it was not too busy or noisy. I am sure we will return again in the future.

Been here a few times now. It gets booked up so it's best to book a table. Small and intimate restaurant. Roast lamb was beautiful and chicken breast with asparagus. Brocoli and Stilton soup was amazing. Very attentive service from the staff. Very varied menu, something for everyone. One of my favourites.

Having moved to Eastbourne recently, I have dined at Morgan’s as often as I could, perhaps 6 times thus far. This weekend I booked for lunch on Sunday. Having arrived at the restaurant I was surprised to see no small tables available and when I stated I had booked I was told that I was to sit on a high small table with stools, which was outside of the dining room, unset and had a cardigan slung over one of the stools. I told the member of staff I could not sit there as I have a bad back. She then sat me at a table for four, again un laid, no cutlery etc and gave me a menu. Shortly afterwards she asked what I wished to order, I ordered, but also said that I didn’t have any cutlery. She responded saying, “well you don’t have any food yet, either”. I was made to feel uncomfortable by the waitress the whole time. I will not be going back. Food is very good but customer service very much lacking.

A delightful place. The staff were very helpful, considerate and flexible. Food was really enjoyable from the avocado, prawns and smoked salmon starter to the calves liver and bacon to the escalope of veal, everything was just right. The carrots were beautifully cooked! Followed by panacota for both of us which was delicious! The wine was good as well! Reasonably priced as well. A very pleasant evening in a really nice restaurant.

Amazing service - they called me to let me know that as they’d forgotten to include an item in the delivery bag they would deliver it asap separately and it arrived within minutes. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough for great customer service when visiting in person or ordering delivery.

Friendly staff (I assume mainly Italian family) who clearly care about their cuisine. We had simple dishes - Sea bass and chicken, both beautifully cooked and with a selection of vegetables. Very pleasant interior, so a very good experience all round.

Ate here on a visit to Eastbourne. Restaurant is clean, modern and welcoming with a good atmosphere.We were served by Evelina who was friendly and professional. Good food and wine menu and specials available.Food was served hot and well presented.Good portion sizes. Liked the fact there was gap between starters and main course, so many restaurants get it wrong and bring out the main directly after the starters.We enjoyed all the dishes and had no room for dessert.Only negative was the paper tablecloths and tiny thin paper napkins. uncovered tables or linen cloths would be better and there are bigger better quality paper napkins available. I dropped mine on the floor and it ripped and stuck to my shoe. The paper tableware is not in keeping with with the stylish restaurant . The bill was a nice surprise given the quality of the food and wine. Recommended and would return on another visit to Eastbourne

If you're in Eastbourne look no further. Morgan's hits every aspect of a great restaurant. Atmosphere is perfect, choice of food is amazing, quality is just the best and the waitress service is spot on, attentive without intruding. To top it off, the prices are below any other places like this we've experienced, I don't know how they do that. Don't waste your time looking around, head straight there.

Best food with unreal price. The quality and level of the food is very high. Mussel in the spicy spagetti was very fresh and full of flaver. Thank you.

Usually great, but this time a little disappointing. Prawn dish was not good and they did not bill us after we complained, quick resolution. My pasta dish was good, with intense flavour with tasty bacon.

An intimate restaurant with a fine menu. A broad selection tempts you with excellent dishes from pizza to veal liver, risotto and pasta for to incredible sea bass. The young team looking after you is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the chef so fast. A very special experience. Thank you 🌹

We had dinner here by chance. From the outside we found the atmosphere attractive. It was a success! We drank an excellent Argentine wine and ate delicious and abundant food. I highly recommend it!!!

Walked past this restaurant and debated whether to go in as it was empty which I thought was a sign to look elsewhere on a Saturday afternoon. Decided to do a quick Google search. Reviews were great so in we went. Ever so glad we did as the food, wine, beer and service were great. The place started to fill up not long after so we’d timed it well. It was just a quick stop for lunch for us today but next time we’ll book for an evening meal. Will add to a favourite on Google Maps 👌🏾 p.s. The background music in there is lovely.

This was my first time at Morgan’s and wow the food is something else. The owner and staff are amazing and will be definitely be back for the lovely roast.

Pleasant interior with attentive staff. Busy which is a good sign. An interesting menu which catered for my GF wife. Food arrived in good time, which was well presented and was extremely tasty. Top marks.

Lovely little place with a homely atmosphere. A great range of food including Sunday roast options. Lots of seafood options as well as pizza and traditional Italian pasta dishes. Everyone in our party was very happy with the food ordered. Great selection of wines and fantastic service.

Booked here for celebration meal. Post valentines. Started off well. However the Customer/ Guest could be a mystery guest. We ordered starters. Fiancee stated Scallops tasted slightly different. Mains were excellent. However asked for desert menu. I ordered fudge cake. As stated on menu. On receiving it. Noticed covered in dark sauce. I asked waitress politely. If it was Dark chocolate sauce. As nothing stated on menu. As I am allergic to dark chocolate. The waitress did not know. Went away. Then came back ignored us. But continued to serve customers. The waitres returned to say it is dark chocolate. I said I cannot eat it. Instead of straight away saying. would you like something else. She challenged me. Saying it doesn't say milk either. Then i got impression that as had tried it I was stuck with it. I questioned this by saying menus do not state any ingredients information re allergies. Her attitude was rude. I decided not to order anything else. On leaving , I spoke to I guess manager. Who didn't really say much. But sorry. I explained nowadays all menus should state what type of foods are in ingredients or staff should ask. Very poor attitude from staff. Will never return. My work let's me cover 35 - 50 pubs restaurants a week. This is one of the worst for service. Staff should never challenge or requestion a customer. If its a legitimate reason.

Our go to restaurant in Eastbourne. Delicious food, beautifully served, reasonable prices, excellent service and cosy atmosphere.

Morgans has been my favorite restaurant for a number of years now, we always go and eat there whenever we visit Eastbourne, and were there on Christmas Eve. The restaurant changed hands a year or two ago, there have been some changes to the decor, but the menu, first class service and great value for money remain the same. Looking forward to my next visit!

Amazing food and service. On my mums wake after the funeral they have set up an amazing booking for 30 people. They made us feel like home, very cosy, and we felt like that the staff appreciates us and understands the situation we were in. I'm a regular there now because the food quality is just outstanding.

What a pleasant and cosy restaurant. Well spaced out tables. The staff were very helpful and nicely presented. The menu alacarte and a Christmas 🎄 set menu were balanced and good selection. What l chose from the set menu was well presented and good flavour all courses were good sized and excellent quality and served hot were required to be. Side vegetables were included and excellent perfectly cooked. Will be going back soon with no hesitation and try the alacarte.

The ambience is cosy, attractive, the hostess extremely welcoming . We had a delicious meal, starters and mains. I asked for suggestion as to how to cook one of the dishes and it was explained. I can't wait to revisit!!

The food was decent, but I was not satisfied with their joyless service. It was a rather unpleasant mealtime for my birthday. As a resident here, I'm hesitant about visiting this restaurant again.
