Went for a takeaway The gentleman was welcoming on arrival and nothing was too much trouble as I had some requests for my food to be packed individually Also was tasty hot and fresh Will be returning

Popped in for a sandwich and drink. The staff were friendly and polite. Quick turn around for the rolls and tasted nice.

Great cafe, very nice welcome and service. They have just been awarded 5 Star by the health inspector. Food is quality and tasty. Large portions.

It was the best breakfast I ever had, hash brown the beans and the thick toast was so delicious! I recommend everyone to go there!

Having been a regular with the previous owners the food was outstanding. The new owners are friendly but the food standard has dropped. Cheap sausages, salty bacon, I prefer butter and they use marg but that's a personal preference, mushrooms tasteless, but on a positive the hash browns we're great. The tomato ketchup seemed a cheap variety. It was such a change from the previous owners that it was most definitely my last visit which is a real shame.....

This cafe has recently under new management, they are very welcoming and friendly and generally the food is similar to before, the mushrooms were amazing. Only criticism I have is the sausages have changed and are not as nice or as good quality as before but apart from that cannot fault it, lovely food, good portions and a lovely atmosphere.

Awful I order roast chicken dinner for delivery. When I got it all I got was dry chicken and vegetables, no roast potatoes or Yorkshire pudding. I called them the owner said they don't do roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. I said I ain't paying £10 for what I got. He said next time I order put a note on it saying extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. So they do roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. As if I will be ordering again.

Highly recommend this cafe! The food was lovely and great portion sizes for your money. The staff are really friendly, will definitely be returning! 10/10

Treat ourselves once a month to a cooked breakfast, fancied somewhere new today as we go to the same couple of places and chose this one. What a great decision! To have the choice of make your own breakfast with 8 items for £8.90 and make your own omelette with 4 items was fantastic. The food was delicious, bacon cooked to perfection, lovely bread. My other half had the belly buster and I had an omelette. Definitely a great place to go, service was great and a lovely friendly welcome. Highly recommended

I'm actually sad and angry to write this but this is a reflection of what happens when people take advantage of your custom . I had the grilled chicken which I've had several times and it's been gorgeous, but today as I was eating it it seemed a little chewy but having a chat etc didn't take alot of notice , then look down to see raw chicken..now I know mistakes happen but its what happened next ...the young girl who's lovely came over and apologised andsaid obviously I wouldn't need to pay , the chef came out and informed me that as I had found rae bits in the chicken he would cook it special next time ....but then if that wasn't bad enough I went to the counter to pay and he went to charge me 18 pounds ...well first of all it wasn't 18 pounds as my boyfriend had cheese on toast and its 18 pounds when he has a fry up , THEN the chef says " ill take off one pound for raw chicken ......so I looked off , the girl was saying you can't charge her for raw chicken he basically shut her down and said OK 2 pounds off ????? Then he said "what you don't want to pay for grilled chicken ???? I said no I don't want to pay for defective food !! Anyway in the end he got stroppy and charged me for my boyrriends food and our drinks - then has the cheek to start saying why haven't I been in there since last week ?.(I've Ben going in there most days but I won't be questioned like I'm at school ffs . Needless to say they have lost our custom for good - just be careful what your paying if you're lucky enough to get a nice meal .

We enjoyed a very tasty breakfast here on Friday 6th October 2023. Such friendly service in a nice, clean cafe. The food was freshly cooked & very good quality & also reasonably priced. Decent coffee topped off an excellent breakfast. We intend to visit again very soon.

I come here every Saturday without fail one of the best cafe and breakfast in Eastbourne, the chef Hassan is always welcoming and the girls who serve are very polite with big smiles, grilled chicken is also a favourite when visiting for lunch!

Magnificent cafe for food, service, and quality. The service is quick and the highest standard. The staff are both efficient and friendly, a truly great place.

Super great service, will deffo use again. Such friendly stuff, nice atmosphere. We often get our breakfast sets and taste delicious! Can’t fault anything, even good value for the cheap prices as portions are generous. My favourite is still their Spanish omelette!!! Cheers 👍

Very nice breakfast here , receive a warm welcome on entry , the omlettes are my favourite and very good value for money , they are very big and well filled , good produce used , we have started using this regularly .

We love Seaside cafe the foods the best in Eastbourne staff are fantastic atmosphere great too we always come here Hasan and Keyma his wife are lovely to us and we have family and small children and elderly Uncle they welcome us all every Sunday x

Still lovely but no delicious crusty bread today, forgot toast and forgot to put milk to our tea separately and served up the milkiest tea we've ever seen(!), also chef normally meets and greets customers and says goodbye and none of that today. So I guess it has gone from a strong customer focused local cafe to just a cafe today which is a heck of a shame.

Just had a delicious breakfast. Friendly service and good value for money. Lots of different options available so plenty of choice. The bread used for the toast is homemade and is lovely.

Just had the best white bread bacon sandwich ! Lots of quality bacon and doorstop sandwiches in fluffy white bread . Coffee was good too! Chef Hussein and his wife were very helpful , smiley and chatty. Easy to park outside .We will come back here .

Had the seaside bellie buster. Such a tasty mid budget breakfast! Sausages were excellant, the bread was fresh, fluffy and obuiously baked that day! Extremly child friendly

We went for something to enjoy at the cafe today. I had tea and A" had a big portion of tuna mayo sandwiches and a raspberry smoothie. It was good. 10/10 satisfaction, staff are lovely too.

Great place, staff are friendly and the food tastes amazing. Interior design is nice and pleasant to look at. Owner is a nice guy too, very friendly and helpful. Great and reasonable prices. I’d really recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for breakfast or lunch.

Tea stewed, tasted like been in pot for long time, only had a couple if mouthfulls as was thirsty, sausage bland, but bacon was lovely, plus not too much fat on it. Service was good, but no table service so almost lost empty table before finished ordering at counter. Had to pay up front, which was a shame as would have refused to have paid fir the tea.

Just started using this cafe (early 2020) as I work nearby. A breakfast here sets me up for the whole day and the staff are friendly and helpful especially Eileen who takes the order and enjoys a bit of banter. The food is good quality...

Stayed In Eastbourne overnight so down to seaside cafe for breakfast. Could not fault it. You get exactly what you ask for and cooked to an excellent standard. Eileen would not kiss me though. Seriously good and very busy

Popped in yesterday with the intention of discussing with someone about offering breakfast for guests at a guesthouse owned by a client of mine a couple of streets behind which won't be serving food there for the first half of this year. I saw they were cleaning up and closing and popped in anyway to see if they had a minute to discuss. As I went in I was "greeted" with a "we're closed" by the lady mopping behind the counter. Not a "sorry, we're closed" in a nice manner. I said "that's ok, I wasn't coming in to order as such" and something on the notice board/flyers area caught my attention. I didn't reach for anything or get close enough to it before the lady shouted "if you want to put something on my shelf at least have the decency to ask". I told her "don't speak to me like that". Yes I did have some flyers in my hand, more of a contact card for the new guesthouse with contact details on in case they were too busy to chat or would like to get in touch at a later date, nothing to market it to potential guests. Well, I for one will not be recommending this cafe based on the attitude of this lady. Closing, closed or open, this is not how to speak to someone.

We’ve been here for breakfast a few times and it’s always great. The bacon is well cooked, eggs done however you like, crispy sausages, potato rosti and bubble and squeak are both home made and the bread is excellent!
