Went here as local and nirmal place was closed. Curry sauce not great taste. Chips had definate oil taste by the morning i was really unwell

Food not great staff look miserable all the time. They dont take card.

Had some takeaway fish and chips and I must say that the price was convenient but the fish was not that big and it was on the oily side. Chips were good.

Nothing against the fish and chips shop but how can you rate 'atmosphere!' 😊 very polite people and the place looked clean and neat. Large piece of haddock looked beautifully fried

What a gem ! The best fish n chips , and specially made curry sauce! Lovely family owned . We go regularly since I moved into the area- this is the best part of living in Rodmill area! Thank you and looking forward to seeing you open again- hope you all had a fabulous family holiday

Just to let everyone know, this place is currently shut for their holiday until 15th August - went today, thinking it had reopened, but they're taking a long holiday :(( It's a lovely place, the chips are perfect chip shop chips, made the good old fashioned way, you even get crispy bits in the bag.

First class fish and chips and generous portions, run by very friendly, helpful couple. I only have cod, so can't speak for other fish, but you won't be disappointed.

Not impressed, had been recommended to this F&C shop and went out of my way to try it. Paid £7.95 for a piece of cod that was tale end, all dark bits of bitty fish hardly any fish meat on it (and had I been in a restaurant I would have sent it back). Chips had a lot of bitty small bits too in the portion. It maybe been towards end of the Friday shift... but personally I don't think that a scraggy tale end is fair to be battered and sold when theres no meat and ropey what is on it. As F&C are not cheap. But may just have been a one off. UPDATE 11/1/24 Yes the one on the Rodmill next to the post office, went from memory for the price must've been £7.90 then. Sorry to give a not good review but I was so disappointed.

Best cod and chips I’ve ever had. I never go anywhere else now. Staff are lovely, large portions and very reasonably priced. I get a take away from here around 3 times a month and I have never ever been disappointed!

Randomly tried this fish & chip shop last night... We normally use a local place to where we live. But, they have become overly expensive. While waiting for our order, numerous customers outside were raving about the food. Traditional fish and chips, tasty and well priced. Beautiful cod, batter was light and crispy, tasty chips...some soggy some crispy, just the way I like it. Friendly staff when picked up. Reasonably priced. This is now my new fish n chip shop!! Others in Eastbourne don't come close. Definitely recommend. Thank you x

It was honestly like they cut a piece of cod lengthwise so they could get two pieces out of it. It was soooo thin. I’ve never had fish that thin before and it was greasy. I know they fry it in grease but damn, this was dripping. Wouldn’t eat there again.

This is my local chip shop, although until rec3ntky I would drive past and go into town. Decided to give my local a try and it was fantastic. Food cooked to order, fish is amazing, it is so fresh and the batter is divine. Very generous portions and lovely, friendly people to serve you. Highly recommended

Fish was ok but it was cook in old oil the chips was so sogg . I had before but this time was disappointed, l work in the kitchen for 18 years l am 100% sure the oil it's old .

The portions are very generous so make sure you are hungry. The fish tastes fresh, I know it is, and the batter is very crispy. Chips ..well perfect ..nice and chunky but crispy on the outside . The staff are just the nicest friendliest genuine people.. I can't fault it .. well apart from it being so popular so sometimes there is a short wait , but well worth it .

Visited on the 9th May to get the family a quick convenient dinner. The fish was cooked to order and I can honestly say it really was the nicest I've had in eastbourne. We all commented that these were the best chip shop chips in town. Well done we will definitely return.

It's always shut I was only able once to buy chips from there but every time I visit the post office next to it, its shut sadly

Freshly Cooked to order, Generous Portions and good value for money, staff always happy and friendly, I ask my Scampi to cooked a little crispier and it is cooked superbly.

Loved everything we ordered, the haddock was delicate and so very tasty. Chips were lovely too. The only chip shop I'd visit!
