Popping down to Eastbourne on two occasions recently to view property we stumbled up this marvellous unpretentious cafe in the Meads (not far from 2 Estate Agents!). The service was exemplary and the food by Tara, the owner, was superb. The americano coffees were excellent. I had 3 different cheeses, pickled onions, perfect salad for my cheese platter and ONLY £7.50. Every time from now on we will use this cafe!

My wife and I recently had a function at All Saints Chapel and if we could give it more stars...we would. Ever since our first meeting with Dariana she has gone above and beyond to make our function the most special time possible, and it truly was. The chapel was the only venue we saw and instantly fell in love with it - if you're looking for the wow factor....this place has it in spades!! We were meant to have our function in May 2020 but due to covid this was put on hold - however Dariana was just amazing - she kept everything on hold without charging extra like so many other venues we read about had done with other functions - nothing is too much trouble for this lady, she is simply first class. We had the most exceptional afternoon tea, the building looked stunning and it was the most perfect day in every way possible. Would highly recommend this wonderful place for your function. Thank you Dariana and your team xx

What a good experience! Eight of us in a group. Food was very good quality indeed. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good choice of dishes and wines, clean, fresh pleasant decor - including clean loos! Everything was good except for a dely between starters and main but the restaurant was very full, just pre-Christmas. I have been told by regulars that this was unusual. A very enjoyable evening.

I have been to Godfrey's restaurant a great many times over the summer for both breakfast and dinner and I've never been disappointed. The restaurant is located on the lower ground floor of Devonshire Park Hotel and the windows look out into the garden. The atmosphere of the restaurant is relaxed and bright with some lovely pictures of local places on the wall. The staff here are kind and friendly. I never had to wait long for service. They serve a nice selection of wines at the restaurant or they would bring down gin & tonics and other beverages from the bar. The chef here cooks up some of the finest dishes in Eastbourne! I have dined here on several occasions and usually order one of the fish dishes - cod, plaice, sea bass, etc. and all the time they were very tasty and came with new potatoes and fresh veggies. I also tried the curries and a vegetarian stew - both were very good. The desserts were delicious - a particular favourite of mine was the coffee mascarpone mousse. They serve a proper English breakfast here and also have very tasty fruit salads, croissants, and danishes as part of their breakfast buffet. You will never leave here hungry and will always want to return again soon.

I would not recommend this place because of the way they treat their customers .They were very disrespectful and hurtful to me. I both the lady and then the gentleman of the kiosk establishment over five minute period said they did not like my type of person on their premises .I . I should not be allowed out I had a portable oxygen unit with me and have five disabilities and despite the fact I had the support of everyone there because I was doing nothing except sitting on the wall which belongs to the National Trust on the South Downs Way. I found hurtful and embarrassing. I had to walk away or might says something that I would regret
