Afternoon tea is a must here. We also had more substantial food which was also excellent. Service a little slow some days.

Afternoon tea can be had in the Great Hall. As it is not that large I found it a bit cramped. Tea is £26 per person. Short on sandwiches but overall quite pleasant.

Spectacular Hall, excellent Afternoon Tea. We have had many Afternoon Teas, both locally and in London and this has certainly been one of the best. Sandwiches fresh, scone, warm with loads of jam, cream and butter and pastries to die for. Would recommend and certainly go again.

I had a very different experience to the other reviewer - we had very prompt and courteous service here, several times over a couple of days, both when busy (very busy with a wedding!) and when quiet. The hot chocolate was really outstanding - rich and not too sweet, with separate dishes of grated dark chocolate, whipped cream and marshmallows you can add to taste. Delicious shortbread came with the cafetiere coffee. Everything we had was excellent: cocktails, icecreams, banana split, soup, scampi, and sandwiches, and all beautifully presented. The 50 foot ceiling in this historic room, and especially the lovely staff, combine to make this a really special place. A real five star experience.

Waiting 20 minutes for a waiter, then a further 20 minutes for a sandwich and fries, when there are only 6 people in the place. Also, drinks were served with the food, so we sat there with no drinks for 40 minutes. 5 star price, 1 star service.

Friendy staff. Good drinks and fab food. Reasonably priced, too. We will be back, cheers 🍻 *obviously it's a christmas destination pub. A nice space anytime, though.

We were there and ignored by the skinny and cheeky waitress. We waited for an approach to us despite the fact that she had been watching us for 20 minutes and had no intention of picking up the order.

I love the Kiosk's Bacon and Sausage Baguettes, although they do have a range of other excellent fillings including Roast Beef & Salad. Sandwiches are superb whether they are toasted or not. Superb P
