Called as never been before. Ordered the big breakfast and a standard one. Sausages were soft so been microwaved, black pudding over cooked, bacon so so, all Luke warm not hot. If you like this standard then defo value for money. I didnāt think it was nice at all. Wonāt be returning.

Very underated, drinks in paper cups, tables dirty had to ask for a cloth to clean and we were given a serviette to do it ourselves, the place wasn't even busy staff sat at table chatting with each other. Had to go back and ask for cake(which was very average)which had been ordered with drinks, no apology. Definitely won't be going again

We went for afternoon tea today, 7 friends. We asked to be in the small room. It was very nice, quiet and we were very well looked after but all the staff. The food are very nice and fresh. As for the small cakes and scones, what can I say they were extremely delicious. The cakes were dainty and a lovely choice. The scones were slightly warm and opened without a knife, so the right recipe, that unfortunately we could not have !š they were amazing! So we all had a lovely afternoon. We were not rushed. A big thank you.

Very disappointed with the meal. Was not advised that the chips weren't chunky which they should have been and there was no chicken in the pie just ham. The vegetable were hard and Luke warm. Will not be going there again any time soon!

Honestly been to so many Mitchell and butler pubs and this one is by far the best. Pete was serving us and he took our orders quickly and was very helpful during our night. Me and my partner both had cheddar mushrooms to start and they were absolutely mouthwatering also the steaks we had were cooked to perfection best meal Iāve had in such a long time if u havenāt been to the anchor u must go now !!!

Why oh why can't you put a V sign on vegetarian food? I know you have a vegan menu (there is a difference between vegan and vegetarian, just lazy to have just vegan and think it will suit vegetarians). All menus should have V signs and also there is no mention of food intolerances, gluten free not mentioned either. On a sunny day there is outside seating but not one sun umbrella so too hot to sit out in bright sun. Noisy radio playing inside too, sad as this place used to be good and lovely environment. Won't return.
