Had an amazing time at The Red Cat Pub! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Niall took care of us and was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great pub experience. Will definitely be back!

Great experience! Food was great and even went outside my comfort zone and tried a couple of the cask ales which were nice surprise, after a recommendation from one of the bar staff - Niall. Service was spot on and the atmosphere was very welcoming.

Your classic friendly green king pub. Good menu options ,plenty of TVs to show the sport, which we where where to watch. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating..

Called in as somewhere new, Cup final day so most tables reserved, staff very accommodating by bring table in from garden. Excellent service, no starters though. Looks like we’ll be coming here again.

Food was cold sent it back,football was on every TV very very loud recommended by my neighbours just goes to show you what they like,

I had a Really! great Fish and chips here today. I wish I had posted a picture. The battery was thin and very crispy, for me this was perfect. Also recommend the 3 plates deal on the menu.

The food was amazing! I love the mac and cheese. However, the TV was so loud that we asked three times to turn it down, and it felt like it got louder. But after the third time, he finally did! Thank you.

Family lunch. My wife enjoyed the festive burger. My steak pie cane with an addition side of a hair. One that big my wife and mother in law could see from the side of the table, the waitress asked if I wanted a new bit of broccoli or a new dish. I would have thought a new dish was the norm…. A fresh dish was obviously sorted. The female duty manager not sure if trained. Appalling attitude made a comment to staff “you may as well go on your f@@@@@G break” Made comments about my extra side making a joke to which I replied I would have a free point of Rudolph to which a reply of “I bet you would” Not impressed in general food was at best ok, restaurant was extremely cold. Not somewhere I would go to again.

Lovely pub, nicely done. Cosy inviting feel. Staff very nice. Food tasty and portion size just right -tiny bit cold if being picky. Def go back.

Service was great, and the food was piping hot... We just had a sharing platter as we'd only popped in for a glass of wine.. Very enjoyable..

I’ve recently started visiting with my friends again after many years, mainly for match days. The online table booking system is very user friendly and works perfect. We’ve never been let down with a booking. The atmosphere is fantastic which really can make a difference when watching the game. Altho the pub is very buy on game day there is never a long wait at the bar. The staff are friendly, service with a smile. We’ve had the small plates on a few occasions and the food has never disappointed and comes out nice and hot. The pub itself has a nice modern take and always clean including the toilets, even on busy days they still smell fresh. With plenty of TVs for the sport and a good condition pool table available to use its a great place to go with the family as well as friends. Outside is a large covered seating area with a giant tv that has a great quality picture. Parking spaces can sometimes be a little hard to come by as the car park is shared with Sainsbury’s and a vets, but there is plenty of space within a minutes walk. The pub is wheelchair friendly and quite spacious when moving round. There’s a great selection of draft and bottled drinks alongside a well stocked back bar. The only thing I would like to see is possibly a dedicated glass collector on game days. The tables can sometimes get crowded with empty glasses, leading to them running out of the correct glasses for you drinks. When you’re buying a premium larger and it’s served in the wrong glass it can cause it to go flat. Other than that I would definitely recommend a visit and see what it’s all about for yourself.

It's turned into a weekly thing going the cat for food and a pint its a lovely pub foods really nice and cooked well and it just one of them all rounder good pubs not many of these left we drive a few miles to grt her aswel so it's worth the visit

Myself and my clients visited The Red Cat today for lunch . The staff were very friendly and our meals arrived in good time. The food was very well presented and the chicken goujons I had were very tasty. My client had the sirloin steak which was cooked just as requested and my client thoroughly enjoyed her meal. The decor in this establishment was very tasteful and clean. The red cat is fantastic for the price and we will definitely be visiting again very soon

Visited this afternoon for steak was cooked to perfection and so were the brownies!! Love the food here is always so nice and the two lady’s serving front of house were so kind, chatty and attentive

Excellent meal all day brunch and a pint of real ale called Tedi meal was £9 50 pint a bit dear but well worth it at £4.

Great service, lovely clean pub. We came for Sunday dinner. It was delicious. The only downside is if you don't like pepper. The beef as tender as it was, it was very peppery, almost overwhelming amount of pepper my friend couldn't eat it. Roasties were a bit dry. But honestly I enjoyed the dinner and having ate at the 12th man (Gravesberie) down the road previously. The Red Cat was much better and will be visiting there again.

We were there for the LIONEL RITCHIE tribute and thoroughly enjoyed it and although the meal was lovely it was very small...i got 5 pieces scampi.(acceptable)6 chips (not acceptable)and a tsp of mushy peas..itvwas cooked perfectly but i could have eaten it twice .my 4 yr old gt granddaughter would have eaten more than that so please ....a few more chips isnt going to break your profit margin too much is it....or maybe give the option of a full size meal with no pudding???? We do go to other pubs for tribute acts and the meal is not as small as what you served yesterday. In fact the Arrowe Park is a full size one. Other than that the day was lovely.

Walked in without a booking and was able to secure a table for three in a prime position next to the bar and to watch the football. Food was lovely as always and the service was exceptional considering it was so busy. Bar staff and waiting on staff were very attentive and helpful especially the dark haired girl behind the bar. She’s and absolute credit to you!

The food was really lovely, tasty and hot, all plates emptied. A special thankyou to Jess who took our order at the bar, and then was our server for the night. She was friendly, lovely and polite, even though Jess said she hadn't been working there long, she even took time out of her busy service to talk with us, Jess is a great addition to your team. Reasonably priced food, the choice of 4 lite bites for £14 was good, as was the food, although 1 dish did arrive with salad after requesting no salad. We did have to chase up our soft drinks after they did not arrive at the table. Overall the staff were extremely pleasant.

My son's and I always enjoy eating here. The food is delicious, the staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful and you don't wait very long for food service either which is always a bonus. We've been a few times when there's been entertainment on as well, which is always good fun. We highly recommend the red cat.xx

We had a lovely meal it was hot, wellcooked and had plenty flavour well served sausages, ,chips peas and gravy , also lasagne. We would like to say a big Thank You ,to Jack he was attentive ,polite , professional funny and totally respectful young man . Not just to Myself and my Husband, but to other customers . For example there was a gentleman say over 70 on his own there was a slight issue with certain food availability . Jack gently explained issue making sure he understood and it was if he was the only customer in the pub. Another member of staff shouted over to him he quickly and politely told staff member he was dealing with the customer and would be with them shortly . What a breath of fresh air he is . All the staff we where served by had a smile and where very pleasant .The last time we visited the Red Cat was a couple of years ago experience very manic and unhelpful staff. Went yesterday for breakfast it was a pre match promo (bogof). It was delicious, hot and plentiful would highly recommend. Been a couple of time for food since Lynsey and her team took over and the food has vastly improved. Well done and keep up the good work.

Food was really good. Ordering the food was quick and simple (given the size of the group, 11 in total) and food arrived promptly thanks to the staff - (Alisha, Jack, and Locklin. Thankyou for making the birthday meal a memorable one.

Five of us ate here last Monday lunchtime. The service was efficient and friendly. Our food order came quickly. All of us had a different meal and all were enjoyed. They have vegetarian and vegan options and a gluten free menu which I hadn't realised. My mother appreciated the seniors menu as she doesn't like to be faced with a very large portion. The katsu curry, lasagne and macaroni cheese were all very tasty. As I have difficulty hearing I struggle in places with music but the staff very kindly turned it down for me which I really did appreciate.

18 of us booked in, we got all our meals together, everything went smoothly, slight delay on one of the meals that we didn't even really notice, but they couldn't apologise enough.. everyone enjoyed their meals, the steaks were cooked exactly as ordered.. and the 3 young lads that were on were so polite and friendly.. perfect night, Thank you..

I went to the Red Cat today for something to eat. I am a vegetarian, so it’s not always easy to find places with more than one vegetarian or vegan option. The options here were amazing and the manageress was amazing, going through everything with me. You can see how well the pub is run and how efficient the staff are. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! Thank you Red Cat!

We chose the Red Cat as a venue for after my dad's funeral. The reason that we chose this venue was due to the friendly reception that we received from Lynsey the manager as well as the lovely decor, large size and wheelchair access. We are so glad that we chose this venue. Lynsey and her team went above and beyond to make sure that the day went without any issues. The buffet was the best and everybody commented on the quality of the food both hot and cold. Lynsey checked in regularly to make sure we were happy with everything on the day. It was perfect. I visited here yesterday with my family and had a lovely time. My daughter has an allergy so it can sometimes be difficult when eating out, however the young girl made sure that she was catered for and that we were happy throughout our lunch. Great food and drink choices. We will definitely be back.

Never had such bad service and I’ve been going the cat for years Bar service was poor Boxing Day 2 people serving Waiting as only people at the bar A man arrives at bar Waitress appears and serves him first Daughter goes up to order food Same barmaid ignores and goes to next male customer. Daughter ordered cheese and bacon burger Was then asked “do you want Cheese “ Yes she answered and repeated the order. 1 hour later I got a chicken burger Never again! Management needs to sort staff out 😡

Young lad with freckles can't get drink orders right.. made two more wrong drink orders whilst I was waiting to get my right drinks.. completely out of his depth, and questioned why I asked for another hot drink which was now stone cold 🫣 haven't been for a while, changed hands since the last time and think I'll make it my last

Breakfast with Santa absolutely made my sons year. All the staff were so attentive and friendly, Santa was brilliant, really authentic, made time for all the children there, individual meet and greets and none of it was rushed. And a great brunch to top it off. A really great experience all round.

Absolutely awful tea time meals. Hunters chicken was microwaved that much sauce was hard and congealed. Fish and chips batter was tough as old boots Burger brioche bun was that hard you couldn't chew through it!! All kitchen staff were young asked for a water bowl for dog and girl asked if I wanted hot or cold water!! So disappointed as it was a birthday celebration…never go back again!!!!!!

Wait time was really long despite not being busy at all. Food wasn’t great, some of it was inedible and had to be sent back. Don’t often leave reviews but really not happy.

I would love to drink here more as I can't fault the staff and great service they provide for their customers. So friendly and welcoming. However, the brewery have raised the prices of the drinks yet again (not the fault of the staff) but disappointing from Greene King, as this is atleast the third time. But a great place to go for a drink and to see mates. A great atmosphere. Fantastic for watching the footie, loads of screens and great music. 👍

The best pub and my favourite pub on The Wirral. The staff are amazing, they’re all very friendly and very helpful. Its a very nice place with great food. The customers are all very nice too. I have a great time every single time I go. I use to be nervous about going to pubs, especially on my own but The Red Cat and the staff all make me feel welcome every time and have really helped me with my confidence as well.

The lady manager was lovely so was the young lad who brought the breakfast out and asked was everything OK. I will definitely be going back

Myself and my family visited after a mistake with a booking from another venue but I’m glad we ended up here as the service we received was outstanding. My niece, who is 4, does not like sitting still for prolonged amount of times and finds family meals challenging but your server Alicia made the visit much easier than usual. Alicia was very attentive to her needs and even brought her several pictures to colour in and spoke to her with respect and really made her feel important. Alicia is a credit to this branch of green king and made everyone feel more than welcome. I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

Came here for Dinner with the family the other day and I’m massively disappointed. Food was cold, and the service was rubbish. Feels like the servers are just clueless kids who have too much to say. Won’t be returning.

We went for a few drinks on a Friday night and ordered food where we were told they weren’t severing food at 9:01 when we ordered at 8:47pm when the kitchen didn’t close until 9pm. We had only ordered chips and a garlic bread and had already had the payment received and 10 mins later told us we were unable to have our food. After speaking to management on shift we were told that as the kitchen hadn’t had a check in for a 10 min period they closed the kitchen early. We then had to get a refund which would take a 5 working day return. One member of staff was extremely helpful and tried as much as she could whereas one was quite blunt and very quick to the point in our return and explaining the process, for a Friday I found this very unacceptable.

Called in on the off chance of getting some food tonight. The atmosphere was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. Will definitely be going back.

Have not been in this pub for a number of years and I have to say I was very surprised by the food quality and décor. Much much better than previously. Very impressed!

We went in for a couple of drinks as me and my partner have just moved to the area we was shown the new drinks menu by Louise and then she made us some fantastic cocktails !! We also enjoyed some small plates aswel the squid and hallumi fries are lush 😋 thanks to Louise for making us feel welcome
