Aroma in Wirral

We regularly go for breakfast and occasionally for lunch. The food and service are both excellent. This is a family run business and has a friendly feel to it. ALL staff are attentive and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Dog friendly tables outside is also a plus as we are rarely without our fluffy four-legged fur ball. Highly recommended - thank you guys, keep up the great work 😄

I had an eggs Benedict on toast and the egg was sloppy and slimy, I was an absolutely disgusted. My sister had a cookie monster waffle that she was unsatisfied with. I would not recommend to a family member or friend unless I hated them. They also spoke horribly to staff.

This is our favourite breakfast/brunch/lunch venue. Staff are so lovely and the food is always perfect. We usually go for the full English, but every other dish we have tried here has been lovely.

Visited Aroma for the second time on Saturday 25/11 , and the experience was just as good as the first time . Lovely local cafe in Irby village , how lucky we are ! Excellent food , good choice , all of the staff are very friendly and courteous , just a really nice all round experience , great value for money as well . Thank you Aroma.

Two poached eggs on toast were perfect as usual. Great Staff and great value. Possibly the poached egg Capital of the world.

We ordered breakfast. I ordered an extra tomato. I got a third of a tomato. I paid extra for this. Most of the food has gone up by at least a £1. So disappointing. Won’t be going again

Visited this cafe in Irby village for the first time on a Saturday morning in February, for a breakfast treat. Was very busy when we arrived 9.15 but easy to see why. Fantastic full English breakfast, cooked superbly, not a spot of grease on plate. And had Ulster Fry with it, brought back memories! Coffee was highlight though, delicious. And all served with warm smiles. The bill was £17 for two breakfasts and two coffees. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

We booked for a family meal following Dads funeral , the set up was great the food outstanding as was the service. Excellent value for money . Would highly recommend for a private dining party .thank you all Celia and Alan

Lovely little cafe in a charming little village shopping street. Clean, comfortable and friendly attentive staff where nothing was too much trouble. Lovely coffee and tray bakes brought it a timely manner. On street parking very good and a free car park fifty metres away.

My family and friends nickname me Chef 113. Yes, my cooking is pretty good. However, given my big and special occasion we enquired with Vikki at Aroma agreed on a menu with choice and entertained 28 family and friends. The night was amazing everybody complimented the quality of the food, the free bar and attentive staff. My sincere thanks to Vikki, Andrew, Hanna and team for making my night so special. Not to forget my partner Brenda for all the surprises.

Best cafe around! We've eaten in and taken away, the cooked breakfasts are spot on! they never fail to dissapoint. Excellent staff too👏

Never fails to delight. Usually come for late breakfast and lunch. Very Covid safe, clean and socially distanced tables and outside area. Staff always friendly, polite and professional. Food delicious and all freshly prepared. Varied menu with our favs such as breakfasts and pancakes. Good to see bagels, wraps and bread as options. Cakes are generous portions and delicious too.

Stopped for a quick coffee and was delighted at the service and the quality of the beverage! Flat white which is my go to choice these days was as good as I’ve tasted for a long time. Well done so nice to be able to write such a positive review

Celebrated my 70th Birthday at Aroma , all my family and friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The food and service were fantastic, Vikki and Andrew were perfect hosts ensuring everything ran smoothly. The menu they arranged with us was perfect and was complimented on by everyone who attended, especially when you get clean plates. (The older generation can be quite fickle!)

Great food and coffee as always. Enjoy the bacon toastie usually but had the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Yummy ! Great friendly staff. Excellent prices too

The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! The staff were really nice and recommended the Maltesers Tiffin to one of my family members and ...he loved it. The vegetarian breakfast ,especially the veg sausage, was irresistible. The Chocolate Brownie and The Maltesers Tiffin both were absolutely irresistible.

We visit Aroma as often as we can. The owner and team are always exceptional and friendly. The food is delicious and complimented by the superb service. Looking forward to our next visit. Always clean plates:) Alex, Fran, George, William and James.

I love this cafe and will continue to use it because I live nearby. It's great that you get table service and the staff are really nice. It's just a shame that they are a bit tight with things. I got eggs Benedict and at nearly £6 i thought it was a bit rediculous that it only had one egg and one bacon, tiny bit of sauce. That should be called egg Benedict. It really wouldn't cost you much to throw another egg on. Nearly £6 for one egg one bacon and a muffin is too much for a local cafe.

Ordinary exterior but pleasant enough inside, serving tasty food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff and good old music in the background.

Service is always friendly and helpful.Coffee is great and so are the breakfast.Plenty to choose from on the menu and they are always happy to swap in and out to cater to us.It's nice to sit outside when the weather allows but inside is lovely and nice and bright. I also love their bathroom decor!Always worth dropping in for a coffee if you're local.

Had a moderate Spanish omelette.... which I was told came with a salad and coleslaw. I suppose that was literally true - it was so disappointingly small that it just took a while to find it. The coffee was also very bitter - a bit stewed most likely. A little underwhelming seeing as most reviews seemed positive.

Regular visitor as the breakfast is excellent, as good as it gets. Always top quality produce, good coffee, great staff, nice atmosphere, really good value for money.

Despite living less than 5minute drive away for many years, have only just tried Aroma - wasn't disappointed. The food was of a good standard & very reasonably priced. The latte was so good I went back later the same day for another!

Regular visitors to this amazing cafe where all the food and service is outstanding!..breakfast or lunch the food is Devine!. The produce is beautiful and freshly prepared. Nowhere locally comes anywhere the standard you get here!... it has a lovely homely feel and the staff are fantastic!. Our always go to place for great food!.

Welcoming, friendly cafe in Irby with a great selection of food and drinks.Visited for brunch, and had the small breakfast and my Husband has the full English. I’m a regular here and it never disappoints. Lovely coffee and atmosphere. My son’s favourite is the blueberry pancakes and the lunch chicken salad is delicious. Highly recommend.

This is a regular place we go. It's always good. Service and food is brilliant. The only problem is that it gets really busy, however this is because it is so good.

We regularly go to Aroma as we can walk there from home. The service is always good and the staff very friendly. They also accommodate gluten free diners.

Can’t fault this restaurant. Never had a disappointing breakfast and the staff are delightful. It’s our first choice for breakfast every time.

My daily walk with the dog takes me to Aroma every morning. Great coffee and toast. We also often come here for breakfast. My daughter loves the breakfast panini whilst we usually have the cooked breakfast. If your not particularly hungry they do a small version of the full cooked breakfast. It's always freshly cooked. The full breakfast comes with egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown, baked beans or fried tomato, blackpudding and brown or white toast. Have also eaten here at lunchtime and there is a tasty selection of food. I particularly like the steak and onion baguette. The staff are always very helpful and friendly.

Dropped in for a light lunch on Sunday, delicious and extremely fresh food. Pancakes with banana slices. The maple syrup gave it that genuine American taste!

Service with a smile and super super coffee. My wife had tea equally good!

You can rely on getting tasty food and exceptionally good coffee served by friendly staff, all you ever want from a local cafe. Lovely young waitress called Dee served us today this has now become our regular meeting place for great coffee and a catch up. Breakfasts look amazing but not sampled as yet.

Ever since the family and I moved to Irby, Aroma, which used to be known as Maluca, has been a consistent regular for us and for good reason; their breakfasts are delicious and worth travelling to from our new location. (Gayton)

With my wife and son we enjoyed a tasteful breakfast. I had sausage and egg on toast whilst my fellow diners had a full and smaller breakfast. Never been disappointed here splendidly cooked food and extremely tasty. Served by smiling personable waitresses. I will certainly be back as the consistency of this establishment is to be highly recommended. Brilliant

Called here but were too late for hot food as this stops at 2-30 we decided to have coffee and cake which was of good quality and a nice portion size

Had an unexpected but very pleasant visit to Aroma. Enjoyed a full English that had everything you could ask for. It was served fairly quickly with friendly and attentive service. It was hot and tasty and good value.

Visited here with a friend for brunch and both ordered the small breakfast and added mushrooms,this was so nice and just the right size also like other people have said there was not one bit of grease on our plates! The lattes were lovely so much so we had a large one and a small one each. Will defo be back and would like to try the lunch menu next time.

It is my local Coffee Shop and I often have lunch there with friends, the Latte is the best you will get anywhere and they make all the food fresh. It shows how good it is, from early morning till the close it is always nearly full.

One of our favourite coffee shop/eateries , the Aroma (formerly Maluka) has been serving good coffee, very good breakfasts, and good lunch time food for many years. The staff are always pleasant, attentive and efficient, which together with the quality of the food & drink, explain why Aroma is well attended by its appreciative clientele.

We have been having breakfast here for a few years now and ive got to say it is by far the best breakfast ever. It is always cooked perfectly and served by the nicest staff. We just love it. Our only issue is when there are no seats ! I would thoroughly recommend this on a Sunday morning. Its lovely to sit with the papers , a coffee or the best hot chocolate and enjoy your breakfast. Writing this is making me want to go now !!!

Went here with my daughter and grand-daughter, we were lucky to get a parking space right outside and to get one of the last remaining tables as it was very busy. Been here before for brunch etc and have always found the staff to be friendly and polite, definitely service with a smile. I ordered the scampi & chips, not the best I've ever had, but not the worst, there was nothing left on the plate. My daughter had a panini with curly fries. All in all an enjoyable visit and will be back.

We have visited Aroma many times and it always delivers. The staff and the food are both great. All credit to Vicki and her team. Great value!!!

Good food, good coffee, great service and fair price.Only issue is that it is a small cafe and gets very loud. Especially in the morning when all the school mums go in there and seem to compete to be the loudest.

Best Sunday dinner ever had; well, out of home. Nouvelle but traditional at same time.Mustardy turnip mash was marvellous with sauteed veg. Hot. Chefs dedicated to professional service. High class and villagey at same time.

Started coming here more often now as we are moving into the area and have found the staff friendly and attentive. The food is excellent and not too expensive either.Not 100% dog friendly but dogs are very welcome outside under the veranda and bowls of water are willingly provided. They are also understanding of a pet owners occasional issues!

Myself and my husband have just hosted a leaving party for our daughter at aroma, the venue was perfect, food was well presented and delicious, staff were extremely helpful. I felt the evening was well managed and I could simply sit back and enjoy myself. I would recommend this venue for any events very happy with everything.

The best decaf coffee I've ever had! The first time I had it I was a bit worried it was full caffeine as I was craving it the next day! Have been back several times since and nope, it's just delicious decaffeinated coffee Great staff, always very friendly! Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Yummy food, not too expensive! Wooden high chairs available. Will keep going back!

Great breakfast we are in here all the time the staff are lovely and the food is always hot and tasty, its the best breakfast around. Would recommend to all my friends. Go early as it does get very busy. Out door seating and dog friendly.

I love aroma. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, the food is amazing and the milkshakes are very yummy too! I come here regularly with my family and fiancé and we all love it. It gets very busy on the weekends, which doesn't surprise me as I think it's by far the best local cafe!!

Popped in here for a quick cuppa and a cake and was surprised by how lovely it was inside. Lovely, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Plus the cake was great!

Prompt, friendly service in a busy but quiet and relaxing setting. A full-English breakfast and a vegetarian breakfast, both were splendid and buttered toast, served separately, was fresh. The coffees were superb. The size of the portions was just right with no waste, the sausage was far from a cheap one and lovely, in contrast to a previous comment.I only wish that there was a greater use of tinned, squishy, skinless tomatoes for breakfasts rather than grilled halves that are never cooked through in my experience, but this is a very minor quibble. The black pudding, which can be a very variable experience, was excellent, also I would recommend offering white pudding instead of the Irish grill slice, again not a negative criticism.We would thoroughly recommend Aroma and we will be back - Thank you.

tis is one of the best coffee shop/cafes on the wirral superb well presented food and really nice coffee and a really friendly service it can get very busy but is a lovely place to meet friends for coffee or lunch

Local coffee shop always busy, food nicely cooked and always a specials board to add to the choice already on menu. A frequent stop during the week for a refreshing and good mug of tea after an early run. Staff always very friendly and polite.

A great breakfast and lunch venue with good wholesome food, fantastic chips (fries) and a nice atmosphere. Also limited al fresco dining when weather is good.I especially like the Chicken and bacon club sandwich.

Love this place, it's like home from home. I patronise Aroma on a regular basis, for breakfast, the occasional lunch or sometimes just a nicely served and presented cup of coffee. I meet a variety of friends here for a good ol' catchup and I never feel rushed. It is a very busy place, especially on Saturday and Sunday (because of their extremely good and reasonably priced brekkie - yum yum). You can also substitute items on the breakfast. For example: you don't want beans, then ask for another egg or slice of bacon or whatever you fancy and the staff comply with your wish. I have also called in on numerous occasions on my own for the odd cuppa, and I've never felt uncomfortable, as the daily papers are readily available and also the tv is on (with subtitles, so no annoying background sound). The girls are especially attentive and to refer to an earlier comment regarding the owner, well, I've never witnessed her being overbearing. Maybe she isn't a 'people person' as such or maybe she's a shy, quiet lady, but with great staff, who cares!! As I have said, I love it!! :-)

Felt very comfortable with children, good selection of breakfast produce. Good coffee and tea choices. Nice atmosphere.

I live close by this cafe bar and have always enjoyed visiting. However my friend and I went this morning to be told that the member of staff responsible for hot drinks hadn't turned up and they could only do food. We were really thirsty so decided to wait but after 15 minutes plus decided enough was enough and went somewhere else! Very disappointed!!

I visited the cafe/bistro on my 40th birthday on the 14th of January and I couldn't have wished for more the manager was lovely and her girls too.. not just professional but felt genuinely cared for.. very warm atmosphere. . The coffee, food and desert was top notch.. I'm in catering myself and I know quality when I see it.. Thanks guys

I'd heard good things about this cafe/restaurant so decided to try it out for lunch with my wife. We were not disappointed. We both had steak and ale pie, I with chips, and my wife with mash. The pie and chips were excellent, although my wife thought the mash a little 'heavy'. I had house red wine, my wife had white, with the meal. Both were very good, as was the coffee we had to follow. Pleasant surroundings and friendly staff made it a very pleasant experience and we will be returning soon..

Love this little cafe! We normally come for lunch, but decided to try breakfast for a change, opted for a small breakfast which was nice, but the cheap sausage really let it down!

This is first class in terms of the service and food/drink quality. I visited for breakfast in early January and had a first class small breakfast, brilliant coffee and amazing fresh orange juice. It was all very uplifting! Terrific value too!

My family and I regularly visit Aroma since moving to the Wirral, and we are always greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile. I love the fresh coffee and especially the breakfasts as they are cooked to order and absolutely delicious. There is nothing that even comes close locally, you just grab a seat and the staff come over and take your order- which is so rare these days!!

This is a delightful little cafe, good food, good prices and good staff. However unfortunately on three separate occasions I have witnessed the manageress being extremely rude, unpleasant and overbearing to her staff, which is a real shame.

We visit this cafe in Irby mostly on a Sunday, it is usually buzzing, The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is outstanding.If the score was 1 to 10 We would give it an 11.We will return, on a regular basis.You should try it folks!!

Great breakfasts (I recommend the small english breakfast at £3.95), can be popular at weekends but nicely set out, good atmosphere and very good service. Always served quickly.
