Clovers Coffee Shop and Diner in Wirral

Called as never been before. Ordered the big breakfast and a standard one. Sausages were soft so been microwaved, black pudding over cooked, bacon so so, all Luke warm not hot. If you like this standard then defo value for money. I didn’t think it was nice at all. Won’t be returning.

Went to Clovers on our way to Angelsey and had the full breakfast which was superb. It was that good that we called in on our way home the following week and had it again. If you are looking for a breakfast then this is the place to visit.

Went today and asked for a simple breakfast. 2 poached eggs on toast each, a latte and black coffee. Coffees didn't take long to come out so that was fine. The eggs come out and one lot was undercooked and snotty, the other yolks were solid inside. Not edible and a waste of money. We were saying how cheap it was at first. £10.30. Turned out we paid £10.30 for 2x coffees. Wouldn't go near this place if you paid me too. Staff in there haven't got a clue how yo cook or run a business. Their response "sorry about that" and walked away. This was their version of a poached eggs. 4 opportunies to make a poached egg and messed up on every one This place used to be a good little cafe before the new owners took over. Wouldn't recommend

Awful, awful, awful….one guy walked out refusing to pay because his food was an hour in coming and cold when it did…we ordered 4 breakfasts, plus coffees and orange juice, waited for 30 minutes, without even the orange juice appearing. The new owners haven’t got a clue how to run a cafe. Sad to say that we have been going here for years, but won’t be going again…Awful, awful, awful!

Have been in afew times on my mornings off for breakfast and to chill. super cheap for a full fry up cup of tea and another drink is less than 8 quid I think. Lovely staff super friendly, love it.

If you are looking for a first rate all day breakfast, then look no further than Clovers Coffee Shop and Diner. We called in for the first time and were made to feel so welcome by Martin and his staff. We ordered the large and standard breakfast, both plates of food were outstanding ,hot and extremely well presented , care had obviously been taken . The two ladies who served us were polite and happy doing their job, the owners Martin and Marian run a happy ship. The diner was spotless as were the toilets. Great place ,great value ,deserves to be busy ,we will definitely be back.

Popped in to Clovers for lunch, always lived in the area and had never been in. Did not regret it. Staff were very welcoming and the food was great. Fish and chips was very nice, and a generous portion. Also had a lovely coffee. Will definitely visit more often.

I visit this cafe regular with my friend, the owners are warm and welcoming and the food is the best in the Wirral , I recommend this cafe, We wouldn’t go anywhere else!

I took my 2 kids here on fathers day, the staff could not have been anymore helpful. Prices are very reasonable. The food was first class, we had the full english breakfast. Will certainly go again. They followed all the covid regulations. Well done to the owners l, first class cafe.

Absolutely amazing, so welcoming and cosy, would recommend to anyone who wants a good time and value for time money and experience. Worth every penny with the amazing service and food definitely worth going for a nice meal both with family and as a couple !

Fab service and excellent breakfast hidden gem. Went with Daughters and the quality of the breakfast was lovely and hot. Would go there again.

Love this place. The waitress is so helpful and always makes me and the children feel at home. Food is tasty and very good value for money. My son loves the sausage toastie and the servings are very generous. This is a favorite for me and the kids. Highly recommend.

pleasant enough cafe, friendly, owner was on his own as parner was poorly so made allowances. partner had made the scouse.it as offered served with red cabbage and beetroot. we got neither. we had additional chips - price £7.00 which is not particularly cheap.Chips were from frozen but cooked ok.although I have not had Scouse that many times,it shouldI think be similar to a nice hearty beef stew. This was not. THe gravy was watery and a lot of it in my bowl. big lumps of potato. Crinkly cut frozen carrots had been used, not freshly diced veg. some onion. the small cubed pieces of meat were very tough. A good beef stew can use cheaper cuts of meat but needs to be slowly cooked over a few hours until the meat is tender. was very disappointed. should have stuck to a panini or bacon butty. something simple. owner was very pleasant but, wont be going back .

Went in here in a spur of the moment on Wednesday and had a cracking breakfast. It was HUGE, delicious and only £6.95 with a drink! The Owner is great, the ambience is superb. Can't ask for more. Will be returning!!

I have visited on previous occasions for takeaway and it hasnt been the best.Sadly,its the only cafe nearby.I came for breakfast with my partner,it was busy and they seemed understaffed so we didnt mind waiting40 minutes later,table that came in after ours,were served so we gave up and asked for money backApparently they had forgotten our order altogether!Just very poor,what a shame

Popped into Clovers for the first time today, what a lovely little gem it is!! Really lovely homemade food. Beautiful and clean, really friendly happy staff and a place I will definitely go back to! My husband said the strawberry milkshake was amazing.

Marian and Martin always make us very welcome, nothing is too much for them! As well as the excellent food they have regular quiz nights they are great fun Well done guys!

A lovely and welcoming coffee shop; clean, tidy and great customer service. The staff are very friendly too. Fresh, hot food is served, there is also a selection of homemade cakes and the latte tastes great too. It is family friendly, but also a great place to enjoy a coffee with friends too. Took my little dog Rosie into the coffee shop and the customers were asked did they mind ?? As none did Rosie went about endearing herself to everyone. A lovely break great company and coffee linked with super atmosphere. Enjoy this place as do my friends

Visited a couple of Saturdays ago after passing it often, as my son is a wetherspoons fan. We had the large breakfast each, with tea @ 5.99 was very reasonable.

Went for lunch with family after it had been been recommended. Have to say, we were not disappointed the food was excellent. Side salads are freshly made to your taste. The service was very good, friendly staff who made sure you got your meals cooked to order and hot.

Went to cloves on Sunday 26th November with 12 family members every meal was fresh hot and very nice. Would definitely go again the staff are very friendly and great value for money. Thanks for the great service.

I've called into Clovers twice recently for lunch. The first time I had a pulled pork bun and the second time fish and chips. Both were well cooked and nicely presented, piping hot. The cappuccino coffee is likewise excellent. The food is good value for money and I would call in regularly again

Un salto para café y tostadas, muy concurrida con clientela pero buen servicio y un entorno agradable. Sin duda merece la pena visitarlo cuando tenga más tiempo para probar otras cosas del menú.

Just enjoyed my first lunch at Clovers. Very tidy cafe, seating well laid out, pleasant decor and a great tuna mayo sandwich and salad with a generous sized cup of cappuccino, not to mention the friendly staff. I hope you enjoy your visit too!

Have popped in for breakfast a few times and have never been disappointed. We ordered a full English each with a latte. The food was presented beautifully on the plate and tasted as good as it look. They also offer a budget breakfast which is just one of everything which is served just as delicious they also offer a variety of breakfast, lunch, teas and fresh cakes. The owners Sam and Carmen come out and chat with you and make you feel really welcome. They seem to have themed nights in the diner including "date night". Sam or carmen must like Frank Sinatra and Elvis etc as this is piped in the background. This is a very spotless cafe they offer newspapers and magazines for you enjoyment. this cafe seems to be popular as it is always busy. give this a go if your in Greasby I highly recommend it.

Called after looking at the reviews and very impressed with the standard of food and service. Nice simple food, piping hot and reasonable prices. Good on the team and we will be back!

Clovers is barely a five minute walk from our home but we still can't resist their brilliant breakfasts and lunches. Lovely food, excellent value with friendly service in a welcoming, slightly "retro " atmosphere. Highly recomended.

Visited here for the 1st time and was thoroughly impressed. Amazing staff, the lady (owner I think) that serves us was lovely and a credit to the restaurant.The full English breakfast was fantastic and a very good price too. My only criticism would be that I wasn't keen on the mushrooms, think they may have been tinned mushrooms?Will definitely return soon

Sometimes pop in here when im on a break in work or for breakfast. Breakfast is gorgeous and always tastes fresh and not greasy. Also the sandwiches are lovely too. Reasonably priced, friendly and clean!

It was our wedding today. A very small do with 2 friends and daughter. Wanted somewhere that offered good quality food excellent value for money and a warm welcome. Came here once before and enjoyed it so much it was the ideal choice for our wedding breakfast. We had 4 full breakfasts and one breakfast sandwich beautifully cooked to our requirements prompt service made to feel welcome. Would highly recommend this little gem. I can't praise the food service or value highly enough. Would love to eat here more often but waist line couldn't take it.

An excellent coffee shop and diner. We had reason to visit this coffee shop on several occasions over a period of 2 weeks during the tail end of last summer. We tried a variety of foods from the menu and were totally satisfied each time. The food and service is of an extremely high quality

Popped in for a tea and coffee but were inspired by the smells to have a snack. Good decision. my wife had baked potato with coleslaw and the portion was huge. To be recommended. I opted for a more mundane egg and chips and was not disappointed.

Popped in for a coffee but was so impressed with menu and prices decided to have a clover special breakfast. Excellent value for money quick service food hot. Heard good reports about it and would have to agree with them will have to go back for another meal.

My husband and I frequent Clovers on a weekly basis.The sandwiches are lovely and fresh and the side salad is also fresh and crisp.My husband particularly enjoys the sausage sandwiches and pork pies.I would highly recommend this establishment.

I love clovers you can come with family and friends or on your own as there is always a friendly face to catch up with . Sam and Carmen provided outside catering for my granddaughters' christening on Sunday. The food was, as usual, fantastic, with a great variety; even catering for our gluten intolerant guests. We had a slight problem with one of our event providers, but who stepped up to the plate and went beyond the call of duty: Sam. Thank you Sam and Sheila for a great spread and service and for ensuring my granddaughter had a fantastic day.

My family and I visit Clovers on a regular basis. Whether it be for breakfast, lunch or just a coffee (and cake of course); Carmen and Sam always give a great welcome and the food, across the range, is to die for and great value for money.If you haven't had a chance to visit 'Clovers', then I thoroughly recommend that you put it at the top of your to-do list.Well done Carmen and Sam, keep up the good work.

We have had breakfast here a few times, it's always good quality. Sam cooks the eggs to my wife's liking. There are bonuses too good conversation, entertainment from Curly, Larry and Moe!They even have cake to takeaway because we are always full when leaving!

Sunday lunch/brunch has never been the same since Clovers opened! Now it's a weekly chance to eat out in a pleasant and friendly environment. Food is excellent, from hearty breakfasts, panini's to fish and chips - so much choice and portion sizes to die for! As usual Carmen & Sam give great banter and are always welcoming.Roll on next week.

Clovers Coffee Shop continues to maintain its high quality of food, service, hospitality & ambience. The Crispy Duck Pancake was a welcome addition to the The already extensive menu. Very tasty & I highly recommend it.As usual the Monthly Quiz got the Brain Cells working & was enjoyed by all....it's not the winning it's the taking part!The Chicken Korma & Beef Chilli was enjoyed by all.Carmen & Sam keep up the good work.

Went for lunch on Saturday. My husband and I both have paninis with side salad and a bowl of chips to share. The food is freshly prepared for you, so you may have a little wait, but it is worth it. The plate is full of good quality fresh food, the side salad has coleslaw and potato salad and the panini is gorgeous! We both had the butter chicken and cheese.Sam and Carmel are very welcoming and the place is spotless. Cant wait to bring my mother for the afternoon tea!

I went into Clovers with my young grandson. We were welcomed by the very friendly staff and offered a very extensive menu. The food arrived quickly and was very hot and well presented. The staff were attentive without being OTT.I would definitely encourage anyone to visit Clovers for an enjoyable meal or snack.

I called in recently for lunch with a few friends and chose one of the really nice looking French Bread Pizzas which were on the specials board. It was a good choice as it was probably one of the nicest pizzas I have ever eaten.The café is spotlessly clean and I noticed from the sign that they have an excellent report of food hygiene.I really could not fault anything here and will defiantly go again.

I live very near to Clovers and decided to pop in last week with my daughter. The food is quite good ( but not outstanding ) and I would say the Clovers breakfast is good value at £5.99 since it includes tea/coffee. The only downside is that if you sit on the benches the space is very tight and consequently you need to be slim.

My husband and I went to Clovers last Sunday 1st Feb had a lovely tasty fresh and hot breakfast and we went back today Sun 7th Feb for breakfast again with 3 friends who all said how nice it was especially the size .Lovely friendly service and all meals served together and hot .We shall be back thank you from Lynn + Tom

I am a regular visitor to Clovers. I have always found the café to be first class. The cafe itself is very clean and welcoming and the food is freshly prepared, some of it to the Chef's own receipes. Service is quick so the food arrives hot and fresh and the staff are friendly and helpful. I have found that almost everyone talks to everyone else and it is a rare experience for me to eat alone, usually I can find company here extremely easily.Children of all ages are made welcome and a real family atmosphere pervades the café.I would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends and indeed have done so on many occasions.

Sam and carmen are warm and welcoming x food is so nice and not too expensive x also the cakes r to die for x hav visited a few times now and will deffo be going again kind regards jules and Sue. X

First visit here following appointment at Arrowe Park. Excellent lunch time menu, food freshly prepared, plentiful and very reasonably priced. Good selection of teas and coffees. Pleasant service in a friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We are regulars at Clovers (having our own personalised mugs!) and really enjoy our visits. We're always made very welcome and the food is always first class and excellent value.Each month we go to the quiz night where the emphasis is on fun rather than winning. We never know what to expect... The halloween quiz was especially memorable, and not just because we were all in fancy dress...Looking forward to many more visits in the future...

Barry and I arrived at about 10.45 on Sunday. We ordered and within 5 minutes our meal was ready. My friend and I have been going regularly and whenever we go we are treated like friends. Carmen and Sam are like family to us all and we look forward to going. We will continue going as often as we can. Wonderful food, great staff and surroundings and feeling you could go in anytime and get the same treatment. One of the best places on the Wirral

Visit Clovers every couple of weeks and today was well worth the visit. Food great, prices unbelievable & friendly caring staff. I had jacket potato with chicken & bacon - came with a huge side salad & coleslaw, hubby had quiche, chips and again another huge side salad. All of the potion sizes are generous. A little jewel in Greasby's crown! Will certainly continue to visit - thanks again, see you next week!!

Brilliant coffee shop. The food is wonderful and the service is second to none. Has a wonderful friendly atmosphere. Scores 10 out of 10 for me. Give it a try you won't,be disappointed.

We had a lovely lunch here on Saturday. The range of food available was great, I was spoiled for choice. However I opted for the prawn pasta salad and was not disappointed, the portion was huge and every mouthful was delicious. My husband had the burger and he was equally impressed. It is really good to know that there are still a few places offering value for money. Service was underwhelming, but not enough to put us off returning. I hope this place goes from strength to strength as it is a great find.

I looked for a cafe in Greasby and came to Clovers on the strength of the Trip Advisor reviews. What a place. My friend and I were amazed at the prices and choice. This little coffee shop is a GEM - an absolute gem. The owner served us and was absolutely LOVELY. I will be telling everyone about Clovers. Such a lovely, relaxed place which is decorated beautifully.

Clovers cafe is one the best places to eat in the Wirral. There is a varied choice in the menu to suit anyone and any dietary requirement. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. We went with our 1 yr old. He had a good choice of food and a clean high chair. We felt very welcome. Service was quick and food was delicious.Clovers also did the catering for our baby's 1st birthday party. I highly recommend them for outside catering. The buffet choice was perfect for our needs. All requests were met without any hassle. Service was professional, polite yet friendly. Almost all our guests commented on the delicious homemade sausage rolls and cup cakes. I will definitely ask Clovers to do our catering again in the future!

Huge thanks to Carmen & Sam for allowing us to host my baby shower at Clovers today. 20 women can be a real handful but you both made each & every one of us feel welcomed & gave us a very chilled-out afternoon with a gorgeous selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones & drinks for us all. Having exclusivity of Clovers added to our afternoon. We can highly recommend Clovers & can always guarantee a warm & friendly welcome from the owners. I eat breakfast out about twice a week. I decided to try this place and called in. I was the only customer. The girl behind the counter was busy texting on her phone and I asked about a full breakfast. Without looking up from her phone she told me I had missed the cut off by two minutes. I was polite as I always am but I hate rudeness. Needless to say I walked out and haven't been back. I live close by in Greasby but go to West Kirby for any breakfast when the occasion arises. Maybe they can afford to be so casual if they have a lot of customers but they won't get my custom.
