Popped in today as was after a drink to take out, staff very pleasant from second I walked in. Didn’t have food but a good gander at the menu and it looks pretty decent and well priced. Place was clean and plenty of seating inside and out, will have to return for a meal soon 👍🏻

Visited on mothers day, so was busy as you'd expect. Great proper pub grub. Not normally one to order a Sunday roast but got the braised beef and was amazing - huge portion too! Staff were so attentive, and a lovely blonde lady was so helpful and couldn't do enough for our kids. Great dog friendly pub. Will be back - good sized beer garden too.

Booked a table for a 70th birthday party. Cherry Tree catered for 11 people (including 2 under 5). The whole day went brilliantly, very much helped by the attention given to our table by the waitress, Hannah. She was absolutely great. She was attentive and alert to all our needs and kept all meals coming through quickly and hot. She was very professional and is a great recommendation to Sizzling Pubs.

I live nearly an hour away, so visits are not that often. It is very big, there are a vast choice of things to see with separate concessions built into the garden centre such as Lakeland. But generally prices are very expensive, particularly for plants and the main cafe. There are a number of eating places, but the main cafe area is massive and always busy. That's why I choose to visit on a Monday in School Term time, but you have to queue to have your sandwich individually made and then queue again to get a hot drink and pay. The wait at times can be very long and just spoils the occasion. Today I had a tuna mayo and sweetcorn sandwich with a few crisps for a whopping £9.99. The catering at Birkacre Garden Centre in Chorley is of a similar quality, but £3 less for a similar sandwich and it is table service to order. No stress of waiting in a long queue. The cafe is not as big by any means, but always busy.

Ordered food and drinks to eat outside on the benches in the sun with our dog. Benches were old and speckled with bird poo. Picked a decent one and ordered food at the bar. Asked for an item off the menu displayed at the door but was advised it wasn’t available (sharing board) and so had to order off a paper menu at the till. We got a steak baguette, garlic ciabatta with cheese and an off-menu ‘special’ of chicken loaded chips (I was advised this would be sweet chilli sauce, chicken, cheese and spring onion on fries). The food arrived and I was immediately disappointed. The special was fries loaded with cheese, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce , red onion, and what appeared to be small pre-cooked bits of chicken (the type you find in the freezer section of a supermarket). It tasted very odd, like a slap up meal a student might make after being out all night - but I ate what I could as I was starving. If it wasn’t for the garlic bread, I would have requested my money back. My boyfriend said he didn’t mind his steak baguette in the end - it was supposed to come with caramelised onions but they were barely transparent, and supposed to come with fries, but came with home-style chips instead (but that’s always a win). Drinks were standard. Outdoor area could use some work to be brought up to date, i.e., benches sanded and painted, fence panels put in to disconnect from the car park, lights and decorations, all to make it feel like your not sat on a patch of grass at the side of the road. Overall, service was disappointing and won’t be returning anytime soon. Really unfortunate as the pub is situated in a great area and has a lot of potential, especially for families with kids since bents is down the road.

As retired grandparents we regularly go on a Monday morning, we take our 4 grandsons ages 4, 2¾, 2½ and 4 months and the 3 older ones just love their Crumpets, 2 each. We enjoy a peacful brew and chat while the boys sit and eat. The staff are loverly and so accomadating. We also love buying the old fashions sweets. But no Kop Kops!!
