Total disaster from start Didn’t get to dessert 1 bar staff who didn’t work there No Baileys No coffee because he didn’t know how to use machine Flat larger 1 child serving at least 80people 50 minutes wait for starters which were a poor substitute for what advertised Had to send back Then another wait off one for mains which was also returned as inedible There was no waiter service so had to queue at a bar with 1 staff Gave up waiting for dessert and left a complaint at bar and left Received an email saying would receive a full refund of over £500 and to supply bank details Over 2 months later no money received and after several emails which are never replied to I felt I had to leave this review

Popped in today as was after a drink to take out, staff very pleasant from second I walked in. Didn’t have food but a good gander at the menu and it looks pretty decent and well priced. Place was clean and plenty of seating inside and out, will have to return for a meal soon 👍🏻

Came here for Sunday lunch, party of 10. Staff were great, very attentive and gave us the right amount of time to decide our order. For the whole sitting the staff were great. Food was delicious, a great selection for the Sunday menu. The braised beef was delicious. The pub itself is very cosy and welcoming, old world beams etc. Overall I was really impressed and would definitely eat here again.

I live nearly an hour away, so visits are not that often. It is very big, there are a vast choice of things to see with separate concessions built into the garden centre such as Lakeland. But generally prices are very expensive, particularly for plants and the main cafe. There are a number of eating places, but the main cafe area is massive and always busy. That's why I choose to visit on a Monday in School Term time, but you have to queue to have your sandwich individually made and then queue again to get a hot drink and pay. The wait at times can be very long and just spoils the occasion. Today I had a tuna mayo and sweetcorn sandwich with a few crisps for a whopping £9.99. The catering at Birkacre Garden Centre in Chorley is of a similar quality, but £3 less for a similar sandwich and it is table service to order. No stress of waiting in a long queue. The cafe is not as big by any means, but always busy.

As retired grandparents we regularly go on a Monday morning, we take our 4 grandsons ages 4, 2¾, 2½ and 4 months and the 3 older ones just love their Crumpets, 2 each. We enjoy a peacful brew and chat while the boys sit and eat. The staff are loverly and so accomadating. We also love buying the old fashions sweets. But no Kop Kops!!
