Popped in today as was after a drink to take out, staff very pleasant from second I walked in. Didnât have food but a good gander at the menu and it looks pretty decent and well priced. Place was clean and plenty of seating inside and out, will have to return for a meal soon đđť

Came here for Sunday lunch, party of 10. Staff were great, very attentive and gave us the right amount of time to decide our order. For the whole sitting the staff were great. Food was delicious, a great selection for the Sunday menu. The braised beef was delicious. The pub itself is very cosy and welcoming, old world beams etc. Overall I was really impressed and would definitely eat here again.

The staff were really friendly and polite, the service was really speedy as well with getting our drinks and food order. The food for some of the group was good but for others it was less enjoyable, the food is nothing spectacular and does was it says on the tin. Good if youâre looking for a quick simple meal.

Tapas for dinner at Bents grade centre was a perfect idea for a sunny evening sat outside on the terrace. Amazing selection of hot tasty authentic tapas, generous portions served with a chilled glass of sangria. Served by a very pleasant waitress, who was efficient and helpful , and the chef also chatted to us after we had enjoyed our selection of tapas, he was knowledgeable about the tapas selection and clearly good at his job. We would highly recommend this dining option at Bents.

Never been before but read reviews which seemed great, we all had Sunday lunch, Iâm not saying it was a bad meal but the potatoes were hard, there wasnât enough meat and would have liked more gravy maybe offered in a small jug, the beef was lovely and I did enjoy it but was disappointed with lack of veg, for dessert 3 had fruit crumble of which they all said it was mushy with a lack of flavour, for what is charged these days things do need improving, also the service wasnât attentive enough I had to keep getting up to get some attention

Ordered food and drinks to eat outside on the benches in the sun with our dog. Benches were old and speckled with bird poo. Picked a decent one and ordered food at the bar. Asked for an item off the menu displayed at the door but was advised it wasnât available (sharing board) and so had to order off a paper menu at the till. We got a steak baguette, garlic ciabatta with cheese and an off-menu âspecialâ of chicken loaded chips (I was advised this would be sweet chilli sauce, chicken, cheese and spring onion on fries). The food arrived and I was immediately disappointed. The special was fries loaded with cheese, tomato sauce, barbecue sauce , red onion, and what appeared to be small pre-cooked bits of chicken (the type you find in the freezer section of a supermarket). It tasted very odd, like a slap up meal a student might make after being out all night - but I ate what I could as I was starving. If it wasnât for the garlic bread, I would have requested my money back. My boyfriend said he didnât mind his steak baguette in the end - it was supposed to come with caramelised onions but they were barely transparent, and supposed to come with fries, but came with home-style chips instead (but thatâs always a win). Drinks were standard. Outdoor area could use some work to be brought up to date, i.e., benches sanded and painted, fence panels put in to disconnect from the car park, lights and decorations, all to make it feel like your not sat on a patch of grass at the side of the road. Overall, service was disappointing and wonât be returning anytime soon. Really unfortunate as the pub is situated in a great area and has a lot of potential, especially for families with kids since bents is down the road.

As retired grandparents we regularly go on a Monday morning, we take our 4 grandsons ages 4, 2ž, 2½ and 4 months and the 3 older ones just love their Crumpets, 2 each. We enjoy a peacful brew and chat while the boys sit and eat. The staff are loverly and so accomadating. We also love buying the old fashions sweets. But no Kop Kops!!
