The best restaurants serving British food in Rochdale North West

Excellent hygiene standards and D + L are superb hosts.

Don't normally leave a bad review anywhere but yesterday the service was absolutely shocking bearing in mind we was regulars to the pub before, I assume it's been taken over as all the staff are different. Stunk of dog when we walked in. Women behind the bar was covered in dog hairs. We was sceptical about ordering food, anyway we did 45 minutes later they come to tell us there's no filter steak or prawns so basically the full order. So we just got a refund for the food a left definitely won't be going back

12 of us visited to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, ready quickly and at the same time and good size portions. Staff are attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is lovely and felt very welcoming. We would all return again, highly recommended.

Terrible servicio. Terrible actitud. Fui a tomar el té con los elfos. Me dijeron que no había silla alta para mi nieto de 18 meses, y que debería haber reservado una para él. Mi hija le había dicho al asistente cuando entró con el depósito sobre su edad. Mi hija trajo mi té de la tarde a casa en una caja pero no había nada para mi nieto. Reconocen que hey se había olvidado de agregarlo en la caja y lo entregaría en su lugar. Fue para molestarse en responder ya que ni siquiera se disculparon. Mi hija pagó £ 75 por esto como un regalo para sus hijos y mi madre de 87 años, fue un desperdicio total de dinero. También nos dijeron que nos habían agrupado para una experiencia más atmosférica🤷‍♀️bueno espero que así que para eso lo reservamos. Ciertamente no había atmósfera. El personal era miserable. Sin duda no volvería a ir y no recomendaría.

Absolutely delicious BLT for breakfast this morning. My first visit to Bobby's... definitely recommend 👌🏻 friendly staff and quick service

The best traditional fish and chips in Rochdale. Everything is cooked to order so the fish is fresh and the batter is crisp and delicious. Busy in match days but rightly so, highly recommend this chippy.

We were so looking forward to a great evening… as the ownership has changed … 😔 i really hope the new owners sort out the lack of customer service and the rude attitude of the staff that were in charge this evening 😔 and please defrost the chips before they are served 😔 so upset and disappointed 😔

Absolutely fantastic. First visit. Food was excellent. The staff superb. And value for money really good. This is the best restaurant experience since Nutters closed. There is no point going into Manchester when there is such a great establishment as this on your doorstep. Well done all the team at The Martlet.

Beautiful hotel! Rooms modern, very clean and quiet and nice ambience to the whole place. Nina on the front desk was super friendly and nothing was to much for her! Also Charles who was on at night also super helpful and nice. Thanks for a great stay.

Great surroundings. Lovely service. Staff looked after us as told us some great dishes which we enjoyed. Will be. Back again

Wouldn’t recommend,Was a frosty reception to say the least, as a first time customer I expect to be greeted with a hello and maybe a smile but no none of that just an air of arrogance from who I can only assume is the woman who runs the place, to be honest I couldn’t even tell you how the food was as the initial interaction overshadowed it, drove away shaking my head at lack of effort towards hospitality
