Had a meal on the day of new menu-disappointed that there was no choice for plain food except fish and chips!-no Scampi-no Chicken-please relook at this for plain eaters! Beef was tough in parts and the new potatoes with the fish were hard and bland! The duck was amazing as was the Eton Mess-so please please look at putting chicken on your menu -also have a mains salmon that’s not smoked!-on the whole lovely food as always-just needs a few tweeks!

A busy lunchtime, but despite other reviews the service was very attentive and timely. Lots of choice and variety on the menu...we opted for mackerel and beetroot salad and the salmon and crayfish salad. Both absolutely delicious, very fresh and generous portions. Blackcurrant and lemon posset dessert was to die for! Very good and already looking forward to our next visit!

I visited this morning the hotel to deliver something to one of the hotel guest where I received an excellent guest or stakeholder services by the reception member called Paul and one girl ambassador or receptionist at the hotel reception. They helped me out of the box which is very admirable. I found an impresive atmosphere and friendly communication between team members which indicates they have received a satisfactory training by the seniors. Hope to see you again one day Thanks M Banatwala

Really good, with excellent service, attention and warm reception marred by a couple of minor niggles. We visited here on a Friday about 5 pm. The bar was busy and the restaurant filling up. Really good food. One of us a vegetarian was a bit stuck for choice as on the last visits had the mushroom stroganoff, despite being good it would be good to have other options other than cheese and onion pie. Agree not many veg on offer. The biggest niggle was the really annoying children running around in 5he dining room. Whereas I appreciate it isn’t the fault of the pub, the parents should be told to control them. It will affect if we return

Stumbled across the Green Man at Inglewhite completely by chance after a wet and Windy walk up Beacon Fell last Sunday, and so glad we did . We were greeted by a lady who I apologise to for not getting her name to put in this review. Very friendly yet professional, allowing us to choose where we wanted to sit . Very informative about the menu and the history of the place. We both ordered the big daddy Sunday roast which were excellent. Then encouraged to bring our puppy in to meet everyone, as she had fallen asleep in car. Such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with excellent food. Perfect for a early Sunday afternoon meal after a blustery walk. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you to all at the Green Man for such an enjoyable experience .

Heard there was a new team at the Plough, so went for lunch. I ordered 3 small plates for £15-- tempura prawns, salt & pepper chicken & chicken liver pate. They were all delicious, couldn't fault any of them, very filling too. Will definitely be going again.
