The best restaurants serving British food in City Centre Manchester North West

Pancakes were delicious and very filling. Our waiter Leon was welcoming and ensured we were looked after. Would highly recommend to those wanting good food.

Still a great bar, been here forever and always been brilliant. Has a few Shindigger beers on tap and a good selection of bottles and cans. Still has good DJs on too, defo earned its place in the city's music history going back to the acid house days

The woman serving me (Tracy) made a snarky and racist remark about my background, despite being a person of colour herself! very unprofessional of her, i hope she's aware this is not okay despite of what others may have thought of her food. Other than that i have no complains with the food its all decently priced and up to par.

Absolutely outstanding - as in 100% perfect. Setting is fab, Elise who looked after us could not help enough - went on a Sunday for lunch - incredible flavours and we will defo return.

Short version: the staff are trying their best with a crap hand, we had a voucher and left before spending it all after a cocktail that tasted of burnt cigarettes. On arrival we overheard a staff member telling a couple who had no hot water in their room "that's the way it is, we have old pipes" which set the tone. We sat in an empty, silent dining room and ordered a bottle of wine, 2 x steaks, chips and greens from a menu that had half of it printed upside down. The waiter left to find his pad, then went on his break. A new waiter took our order almost 10 minutes later. After going to the computer, they returned and told us that the steaks were no longer on the menu but the chef was going to look for some in the fridge. He was unsuccessful. We had to reorder and got steak frites and a burger with greens and fries. The food arrived and the burger was good but completely alone on a plate for £18, the steak was overcooked and bland. The greens appeared to be fried spring onions which we sent back and were returned identical 20 minutes later after the waiter went into the kitchen and cooked them herself - we overheard the chef saying that he wasn't doing them again or words to that effect (still no music or ambience in the dining room). We went across to the (silent, ambiance less) bar to have a cocktail and when I asked for a menu, the waiter looked at me blankly and said we don't have one. We were then given the restaurant menu again and ordered espresso martinis. They looked great but tasted of cigarette ends thanks to the terrible, cheap coffee they're using in this high end hotel - I can only imagine how the breakfast goes. We had spent around £75 of our £100 voucher after they took 50% off the food and didn't want to stay any longer to spend the rest. I think that says it all. Absolutely would not recommend

Mi novio y yo visitamos el casino con bastante frecuencia, no para jugar sino para ver el fútbol y tomar una copa tranquila. Solo me gustaría decir Richard en el bar, y la mujer rubia en particular siempre ha sido absolutamente fantástica. Excelentes cócteles y servicio rápido y amable. Obviamente, están muy ocupados ya que parecen tener poco personal, pero aún así se las arreglan para ofrecer un excelente servicio y tener una manera amable y encantadora. ¡Espero que sus jefes aprecien el buen personal que son y que estén allí por mucho tiempo!

No he estado aquí antes, pero me recomendaron el área hace unas semanas, veo que el bar está bajo una nueva administración, y debo decir; el ambiente ciertamente cumplió mis casillas. Tomaron cerveza, siempre un buen comienzo. Un momento destacado de mi estadía fue mi experiencia con uno de los miembros del personal del bar, para describirla, era enigmática, burbujeante y pensativa. ¡Definitivamente le diré a mi familia y amigos que me visiten la próxima vez que estén en Manchester! ¡También las bufandas de cara pequeña son un toque encantador!

Wouldn't recommend if you are gluten free / coeliac. When I arrived I asked for a gluten free menu and the waitress was very abrupt / made me feel like an inconvenience. I then asked if there was anything they could provide gluten free and then waitress just listed all the things which had gluten in them and then didn't attempt to accommodate for me. The only good thing is that a manager took my order. I understand that not all cafes can provide gluten free products but we would appreciate if they were a bit more understanding / could explain what dishes they could provide gluten free.
