A hidden gem, a perfect little cafe in the heart of Gosforth celebrating locally produced ingredients and local artists. We are frequent visitors to Gosforth and this little cafe really brightened our day and what was a very stormy and wet day. The homemade cakes are lovely and the hot drinks are great too. We would highly recommend this cafe to anyone

Visited for the first time yesterday while staying in Haverigg for the week, lovely welcoming cafe & staff are friendly, we had scampi & it was delicious 😋 highly recommend Betty’s to anyone staying local, the menu has something for everyone & we will certainly return to sample more 🤩

My last review of number 11 was five stars the food was different exciting lots of different textures and delicious. What a difference the starter was half done and lazy we sent it back. The second one was the best part of the meal. The rest of the meal was all precooked nothing added no texture and totally uninspiring. This is a really nice place friendly staff and an owner who is passionate about food.Sadly the food is letting the place down.

Welcoming and great homecooked food, nothing fancy, just good, tasty wholesome food. We had two Lasagnes and a fish n chips and Scampie enjoyed by all and generous portion sizes. Family and very dog friendly. A lovely atmosphere and character. We would be very happy to return. Thanks

This Italian is by far the best Italian food you will ever eat. We recently visited Sorrento expecting great Italian cuisine but, on the whole, were left very disappointed. The restaurants were more interested in a quick turnover than quality of food and good customer service. This is something that Casa Aroma has in spades - the food is delicious, the staff are always very friendly and can't do enough for you. I only wish there was a Casa Aromoa wherever we go in the world and it is the first place we go to when we get home for some delicious food.

Family meal, after a recommendation. Unfortunately we weren't impressed by the meals. My burger sounded awesome on the menu however it was nothing more than a sausage and egg sandwich in ciabatta bread. Aiting times were long too, even yhough we had booked. Wouldn't go back for food. It was a lovely pub though and staff were lovely.

Stopped off for lunch , I had a fish finger butty my husband had quiche. The young man that served us was exceptionally polite , however the food was of poor quality, the fish fingers were grey fish , I expected?? Homemade. They were tasteless , I asked for tartare sauce but they didn’t have any , my husband said the quiche was just about ok lots of salad leaves pilled high a quarter of tomato , plain and basic This place is set in a beautiful place we have been many times but unfortunately this time it wasn’t so good

I called in this cafe on Thursday last. It looked very pleasant and inviting. My first question was ‘ Do you allow dogs?’ ‘No ‘was the curt answer. My second question.. ‘ Do you have any outdoor space I could sit in with my dog?’ Once again a curt reply ‘No!’ Fully understand .. not every place takes/ allowed dogs.. but surely a polite answer wasn’t too difficult. Not to worry.. we are in this area all week & are very happy to take our custom elsewhere !
