One of the best bakery shops in the North of England! Superb pies. Steak or lamb were our favourites. Friendly staff and always looks like there’s a queue but it moves quickly

A great wee bakery in Gosforth village. It's very popular with locals and sojourners, so it's better to be there early than to be disappointed. Bread, pastries, and pies all sell like hot cakes - well they would wouldn't they!

What an absolute amazing place to visit. Tiny little gem full of beautifully tasting food. We had breakfast rolls and also sandwiches, sausage rolls and scotch for lunch as we were hiking up Skafell Pike. Even got a cheeky carrot cake for when we had finished our hike. All of the food was so nice and very reasonably price. Carrot cake was the best I’d ever tasted! Can’t recommend this place enough.

We stumbled across this little haven - the first day we all had a cake the second visit involved pies omg they were delicious. We all had Steak and they were full of succulent meat. We enjoyed them so much we went back to buy some to take home with us. Definitely worth a visit.

If you're not careful you'd miss this spot, were it not for the line out of the door. Very popular with anyone who knows! Great range of baked goods - pies, quiches in particular were terrific! Not many bakeries in this area, so make sure you fit it in!

The reviews were so rosy that we went specially to buy pies for dinner but we thought them very average. Not nearly as good as the ones in Syke farm tea shop buttermere which are really tasty and bulging with meat and bigger. The yam frae cafe oppostie is the best in the area however.

Local bakery, open Tuesday to Friday, serving good pies, which are ideal for taking up on a fell walk. Need to get there early as your favourite May run out as it is very popular ! Chicken & mushroom pie particularly good.

I was in the area today, enjoying the easing of restrictions to revisit old haunts up the coast. Understandably few places to get food were available. I’d given up really, and as I drove through Gosforth, sheer bliss: to stumble across this wonderful hidden gem. The queue of local people out of the door was the first clue. I’m so glad to have visited. Amazing selection of bread and pasties, and freshly made sandwiches to order for you. Lovely warm helpful staff, who were run off their feet but nothing was too much bother and they made me feel very welcome. It’s a tiny shop but ultra slick Covid system. My Labrador and I had a fabulous impromptu picnic Don’t think of going anywhere else locally Superb value for top notch food

Welcoming and great homecooked food, nothing fancy, just good, tasty wholesome food. We had two Lasagnes and a fish n chips and Scampie enjoyed by all and generous portion sizes. Family and very dog friendly. A lovely atmosphere and character. We would be very happy to return. Thanks

Does the boss ever smile? Food was okay but the boss rushing around with a face like thunder. Doesn't matter how busy you are but doesn't take much to smile
