Ordered the loaded potato dippers and they looked and tasted like they were made by a child in nursery using a microwave for the first time. I could have done a better job with my eyes closed. Coleslaw was dry. Best part were chips and that's not hard to get right. Won't be coming here again. Unless they get a chef in who has passion and pride in his cooking.

Good quality delicious food and a warm welcome. Stopped in after a lovely Spring walk - received a friendly welcome and our dog was made welcome too. Chose the burger and a Steak Canadian sandwich - both delicious particularly the burger and the gravy served with the Steak Canadian. Even our dog was offered a sausage from the kitchen. Will definitely return

I called before a walk around the reservoir to check if it was dog friendly, I was assured it was. The lovely lady advised I booked as it gets busy. I booked and we was seated in the dog friendly area which was very cosy, cushions and blankets...which my daughter loved. Great menu choice, I had the cheese and onion pie and it was lovely ...the gravy was homemade mmmm. Good choice for my daughter on the kids menu. I will definitely be going back to try more food .....the chips are amazing! Thanks for a really good first visit.

We turned up at the White Bull without any reservation, there were 4 adults, 2 children and a dog. We were very warmly welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Despite not booking, and there also being a private event on, the host did her upmost to accommodate us. We all ordered mains and desserts, including food from the children’s menus. The food was delicious (freshly made), of good quality and good portion sizes. The children’s food was also excellent, as the quality was very good. The place had a lovely atmosphere and all the staff were smiley and pleasant. We will all definitely visit again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Waitresses were friendly and helpful, service was quick no waiting about. Food average, two of us had the Malaysian curry but couldn’t finish it even though it was a very small portion for the price, the rice was stuck together and stodgy, the sauce was bland. This was my favourite dish 2 years ago. Other two meals were ok. Desserts were good. One concern we did have which was partly our fault we didn’t check the receipt. Looking at it the following day we had been charged an extra £13.50 for drinks we didn’t order. We did email but got no response. Definitely won’t be on our list to go to any time soon.

My wife and I called in for lunch on a Sunday, having booked by telephone the previous evening. The Rock Inn is located in beautiful moorland countryside, what a view from the car park not just the restaurant, out westwards you can see the sea both at the Ribble Estuary and further north the sweeping Morecambe bay with the Lakeland hills in the distance, in between on the horizon Blackpool Tower! Staff were very welcoming and immediately felt the warming ambience of a traditional village pub. We decided to try the traditional Sunday lunch, my wife chose the lamb whilst I opted for the beef. Food arrived promptly was hot, well presented and of good portion size, we both decided on the apple and berry crumble with the most delicious custard I have had in a long time. Extensive range of drinks A most enjoyable lunch, and we will soon be back to try the midweek menu, would recommend without hesitation. Staff are a credit to the business.

Thankyou to Lilly who tidied our table and served our food. Lovely girl.. there was 20 of my family including babies. She looked after us at every part of our meal... the food was good except the fish was a bit overcooked.. batter wasn't too good and no mushy peas 😕 apart from that great !!! thankyou Lilly ❤️

Actually ordered a takeaway from here last night for the first time. Thought the prices were a little high but as it's a restaurant first I expected that. Ordered 2 currys, 2 starters, nan bread and poppadoms. I never eat a full portion of curry so usually throw it away as I don't like left overs, however this was so good I ate the rest this evening. So tasty probably the best curry I've had in a very long time and the first time I have ever finished it the day after. Will be ordering again for sure.

We called in to meet with family and friends on New years day, stayed 30 mins, was very busy, no mention of paying for parking that any of us saw. 15/1/2025 3 PARKING TICKETS @ £100 EACH. Disgusting !
