Got fish n chips today cooked fresh while I was there good size portion will go again posted this last week. But went again today Monday 12th Aug. Once again superb good lads good food good laugh while waiting for fish ro cook no soggy batter here well done guys.

Was a very friendly greeting we got!! The food was very tasty..they were actually..singing whilst working!! Impressive..deffinatly go bk..

Only had dabs and gravy but they were delicious .staff were friendly as well..

We had battered jumbo sausages and chips and fish and chips, the batter was soft stodgy flour taste batter the chips we either black spots all over or the metalic colour that show exposed to air too long, arrived cold everything went in the bin apart from a steak and kidney pudding that although cold was just about edible. Obviously you cannot give zero stars so had to give 1, my advice would be go somewhere else or have beans on toast.

Great portions kids struggled to finish due to size but well worth the money in today's climate no short measures here would definitely recommend for that hearty meal after school day.

I just ordered food on justeat app and they got my full order at this chippy but when it got delivered they somehow forgot to do the large chips what I ordered they did rest of my order but forgot the chips how? I rung up wondering and they said they'll sort it not heard anything since, if your gonna order on justeat I wouldn't recommend it, I would say go in person then you don't get disappointed.

This has to be the best chippy around! The staff are lovely and kind, the fish & chips we had were fantastic! The fish Lovely and soft inside with crispy batter they are also huge! The gravy and curry sauce was the best I've had ever! Very satisfied customer who will gladly return again.

The food tonight was cold and disgusting, never had a problem with the food and service until tonight. Very disappointed.

Honestly the best chippy i have had in years. Super crispy fish, not soggy. The curry sauce is top notch and the portion sizes are perfect. The guy serving was really friendly and service was quick. Highly recommended

Bryan Street chippy was recommended by a colleague, 100 did not disappoint. Chips are spot on fresh crisp and fluffy inside. Can't wait to come back!!!

Over priced , actually to the extent I'd say greedy. Food is ok but not worth paying £1.50 more than other Chip shops for the same meal. It's a shame because the potential is there .

Very disappointing, the chips are all soggy not been cooked for long enough, The gravy was terrible, I wouldn’t recommend this chippy to anyone, £4.20 for a small chips and gravy with a coke, I wouldn’t even pay 50p for the food I got given, it got thrown straight into the bin waste of money!!!

Sausage awful obviously not pork but was not advised they were halal waist of money

The chippy had a downturn in quality after Tom's retirement but now that is under new management again it's right back up there. The proprietor was really helpful when checking for dietary restrictions & the food was fantastic. One member of our group was especially happy that the Yabadadabba was back on the menu

Top notch since the new owners took over recently. Freshly cooked food. Samosa's are amazing!!!

Ordered fish and chips and jumbo sausage ..7.50 for fish and chips and 1.70 for the sausage The shop is a 5 minute drive from where I live and food came cold! Never seen a smaller fish and the chips were worse ! Sausage was cold ..dry and nothing jumbo about it ! Used to be my go to chippy but not any more ☹️

Disappointed I've not had f/chips for ages. The bag it came in smelt of strong fish. So where ever the bag was kept it was like raw fish. The photo does the dinner justice but infact it was dark batter soft not Chrispy and the peas were cold. Won't order again .

I ordered a portion of chips with a portion of dabs. The chips where very hard and alot of scraps. The dabs where soft around the edge and hard in the middle. The workers are friendly enough some of them. the owner is ignorant and rude. You can not run a buisness like this if you are not people friendly or have people skills. Not surprised this has shut down. with bad food and ignorant management.

Went a few months back when they got new owners never again ended up throwing my chips away they were stale chewy just awful this used to be my favourite chippy

Disgusting, couldn’t even pick the chips up to plate them up they just squashed to mush, the sausage was cold and the curry like water. Shame it used to be a good chippy won’t go again!

Absolutely dreadful, fish way overcooked and the batter very soggy and thick white uncooked flour inside. Chips awful and the curry sauce way too thick. Threw it all in the bin, definitely WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

Absolutely terrible. I live 2 minutes away but everything was cold. Gravy like glue undercooked chips and the steak pudding tasted like it was day's old. Last time I go. Would have scored zero but you can't leave review without scoring

I was hoping it tasted better than it looked, but no. Good job I didn't get salt on too. It was barely edible to begin with. The Gravy like Glue and I think they have spilt the whole salt container in it. The Sausage was thin and tasteless and poor quality and the chips anaemic. After working late and calling for a quick tea on the way home I am more than disappointed. £4.05 for inedible food.. I'd give 0 stars if I could No wonder it was empty. Bryan Street Chippy. How the mighty have fallen. This was once the best chippy in Blackburn, now its an absolute disgrace. Chips under cooked in very old oil, wife had two and threw the rest in the bin.. Mushy fish which is obviously frozen not fresh and gravey with the consistency of ice cream. When the business changed hands the food was still pretty good, but owner has now thrown Toms instructions out the window and gone his own way. A solid business turned into shambles.. rip Bryan St

The fish batter was 2 cm thick and doughy , awful batter, not crispy, soggy. Took it off , it came off in one piece , like a batter pocket :( and the curry was thick and tasteless. We won’t be going back again.

Really big shame, given this place a few chances since the previous owners departed. Each visit the chips are extremely greasy and uncooked (how often is the oil changed?) the fish is soggy and small & I wouldn’t feed the sausage to my dog. Feedback given but girls not interested.

Once one of the best chippys in Blackburn a lot for the new owners to live up to at the moment hope they manage it and do good I only had chips and dabs which where good Good luck guys keep up the good work

Staff are fantastic and food is top quality. Portions are very big for the price. If you haven't tried it yet, why not? Definitely recommended but don't take my word for it, try it for yourself 😉 🙂.

Always consistent! One of few traditional old school chippy's in Blackburn. As iv stated in my title not just the best in Blackburn but the nest in the north west. Reasonably priced, great quality and generous portion sizes. Customer service is always spot on. Stand up B ryan Street Chippy!

Excellent, the best chippy for miles and miles around

Without doubt the best chippy I have ever been to. In my 40 + years I have sampled a few but nothing comes close to Bryan Street. The batter on the fish is incredible and the fish tastes just like the sea, as it should do. If you were in the city you would be paying a fortune for food of the quality. Don't bother with the rest, go and see Tom and experience the best!

This has become my chippy of choice. The food is always fresh and has the traditional smell and taste I remember from the days of bringing your own dish and transporting it home wrapped in newspaper . The staff are always friendly and provide an emotional pick me up as well as beautifully prepared food. Yum!

Both the fish and the chips were overcooked. Nothing worse than overcooked fish, it should be nice and flaky. As stated the lot went in the bin, what a total waste of money!

Best chippy I've ever been to, they do the best crispy dabs and homemade chips ever. Always tastes fresh and cooked to perfection. Only down side is they don't deliver.

Just love this chippy. We used to live round the corner and Friday night was chippy night. You always get the best welcome, and a friendly chat. The best curry sauce in a chippy by far AND John Bull's!!

No es difícil separar sus fichas de goma . fichas crujiente . salchicha estaba poco hecha y la salsa era insípido ayudarme a encontrar un buen "fish and chips" por favor fray ruggs probablemente mejor en estos momentos

Whenever I have gone to Bryan St. Chippy I have never ever been disappointed. Best place for John Bulls. Always very busy which shows it's popularity.
