Oakenhurst Farm in Blackburn with Darwen

Ordered the loaded potato dippers and they looked and tasted like they were made by a child in nursery using a microwave for the first time. I could have done a better job with my eyes closed. Coleslaw was dry. Best part were chips and that's not hard to get right. Won't be coming here again. Unless they get a chef in who has passion and pride in his cooking.

Food is overpriced and bland. The chicken burger was a microwaved one, and it was cold.

Had a great meal here thoroughly enjoyed our evening and our server Olivia was wonderful ..she was always on hand if we needed something but was not intrusive

Screaming kids running around late evening, supervisors sat doing nothing whist duty tables and people still dining.

We had broken down and had to spend the night at the ajoining Premier Inn. Staff were absolutely great. Very friendly and professional. Very clean establishment and food Very tasty .

We attended Oakenhurst as a very last minute decision for our twins 4th birthday party. We originally had other reservations however when those plans fell through, Oakenhurst was quick to cater to our needs and was everything we wanted and more! I am so so made up with how the twins party turned out and very thankful for the staff who looked after us and made it that extra special. Thank you guys 🩷💫 xx

We loved our visit! The party and play facilities were perfect for our family party. The party room decor was great with all the little design details. The staff went above and beyond to make sure the family were taken care of. Highly recommend for a party or special family event!

Called here for a late lunch . The pub was very quite . The food was amazing but the desert service bit slow but I would most definitely call again if in the area . We eat in Brewers farye a lot and this is in the top 5 we been to

I come here to meet friends bar service is a joke , the way bar staff speak to customers is a joke ,no bar staff for 15 minutes when you ask to be served you get a full on lecture 3.20pm 2 2 25 , consequently ,il not come here again

We stayed in Premier inn attatched to the pub we called in 9 30 pm Christmas Eve only to be told they were not serving as we handnt eaten there No signs up to inform people Very disapointed

Come here regularly for meals and Xmas dinner. Xmas meal was very poor, burnt parsnips, burnt pigs in blankets. Prices all gone up, my food very bland and tasteless.

Lucy the glass collector was the most efficient glass collector I've ever seen, was like being at Oktoberfest except the glasses were empty... Great bar service also! 10/10 would go again.

I thought it was a joke when I came across from the hotel for a drink at 10 pm on a Friday to be told the bar is *closed* what idiot decided this. It's owned by a brewery I thought the ethos would be to sell alcohol not to deter sales

I had the rump steak with peppercorn sauce it was the best steak ive had in a while

The staff at this place are absolutely fantastic! They will go out of their way to help you with any special requests, or needs that you have. I come here every week and they take grst care of me and my friends.

Great place to take the kids, soft play area which is always managed by a staff member. There is a seating area next to it to eat and watch your kids at the same time. Food is pretty good value and they always have offers on

We opted for the Christmas menu pate and prawn cocktail starters then Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings finished of with billionaire porfita rolls the service was excellent and quality of the food matched the cooking of the food by the chefs dave and Morgan was of high quality hot and well presented will recommend the Christmas menu and venue to all my friends thanks 😊

Went for the carvery on a Sunday at 12.30 and it wasn't too busy but we sat in kids free zone lol like if Sagar holidays did carvery. Overall 4 out of 5 across the board, food was good and fresh and I shall be going back. Not bad value at £11.99 for a carvery these days. Bravo 👏

We come most weeks for breakfast and they never disappoint! With 5 children and 1 with endless allergies, the staff are always amazing. Always a friendly smile and very welcoming. The food is always great and something for everyone (even my picky eater children).

Thought I should write a review it’s not the first visit here with my grandchildren and won’t be the last, the food here is kind of what you’d expect and definitely value for money, the customer service is fantastic and the play area is perfect to entertain the nippers.

Met up here with friends for lunch and drinks. The staff are really friendly. Love the comfy chairs and relaxing atmosphere. Quick service . Nothing too much trouble.

We visited for lunch around 1pm. The restaurant was clean but fairly busy. Our little one played in the play area and the staff were great with her as she is only 1. The manager, Adam, was very courteous and took the time to explain our menu option. We ordered from lunch deal menu. Adam served us our food within 10 minutes of ordering and he also checked how our food was and if he could get us anything else. Overall, we felt very welcomed and would recommend and would visit again.

Nice place, the food was very nice, a little pricey but nothing unordinary. Perfect for kids as there is a little soft play joined (bare in mind, you have to pay for it). Didn't have to wait long for food even though it was a busy Saturday tea time. As we were staying in the premiur inn next door, we also came for breakfast, which didn't disappoint either. All in all, a nice pub with tasty food.

We went for Sunday carvery, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was good, well cooked and reasonably priced. When the vegetable containers were empty they were quickly refilled.

Brewers Fayre have really upped their game since I used to use them staying away with work a few years ago. Food is excellent. Highly recommend breakfast which, although is all you can eat, it is NOT buffet style, and everything is cooked fresh, to order.

Stayed 2 nights in the Premier Inn next door. Booked into the restaurant both mornings for breakfast at 7am as our daughter was in a local dance championship, so we had to be up early and eaten to get to the champ. Both mornings the restaurant wasn't set up and the second morning the chef couldn't even be bothered to turn up. This is appalling service when they say the 1st booking for breakfast is 7am. We tried to wait but at 7.40 had to leave with no cooked breakfast. This comp happens every year at the Blackburn Empire theatre and I don't think we will use this hotel and restaurant again. Even the photographer who was staying in the hotel had to go without any breakfast.

Food was a little disappointing,to be fair I could have eaten 2 of what I ordered,but it's every time I've been to eat there

Food good one day went a few. day's later and was abit of a let down.so it's hit and miss

Food was good considering its mass purchased, you couldn’t expect better really to be honest. So that was good. People seemed enthusiastic towards the children. Sadly this is where the goodness ends. Placed order and payed, had not decided at time of ordering if we wanted a sweet after. Other in party did. Turns out that we did want to have one. Told kitchen was closed. If it were closed then how could the 4 persons in our party then have their pudding made up? No where did it indicate that they closed the kitchens at a particular time. Nor were we advised. This is pretty poor on the part of the restaurant. I guess we now need to ask from now on if they close kitchens at a particular time.

Popped in here for an unplanned meal on Friday. Was busy due to Rovers first game of the season but service as always was first class - especially the legend Fred. Great drinks and superb food and even though it was busy didn’t have to wait long at all.

I had started to avoid this place as the food went down hill. Tried it again today and there has been a massive improvement in the food. Staff have always been lovely, helpful and welcoming. We will be back again now.

We have today been for the unlimited breakfast as our closest brewers Fayre has now closed. Very impressed with Oakenhurst Farm as a restaurant. Really bright and well spaced tables. The breakfast selection was very good and the cooked foods were great. We are a 5 (2 adults and 3 children) so value for money on the breakfast cannot be beaten as the children eat for free. The staff were friendly and helpful. Well recommend highly and will be returning again as this will be our go to place for eating out breakfasts

Really good place to take children as the self contained play area is pretty good. The food was decent and the staff were lovely. Worth a visit. It's a fantastic place to visit if you have kids and need a distraction.
