Went last night with my partner. Asked for a chicken sandwich, but they didn’t have any. Opted for lasagna which I had to send back because it was mush. By the time they brought out the second one, my partner had finished his main. Second lasagna was even worse and was full of yellow liquid, it looked like some sort of fish pie! In the end asked for a refund, they refunded me for the lasagna! So all in all we went out for me to just sit with nothing to eat. Appalling

Very tasty BIG steak and ale pie (chips and peas). Delicious Lamb Kofta. Excellent value. Very pleasant staff. Highly recommended.

Had a confirmed booking for breakfast almost 2 weeks in advance of a visit on 21st April. Had a call this morning(6days before visit) to say they don't serve food on matchdays which I do not believe as pictures on TripAdvisor website of Newcastle fans in February reviewing food and drink! Will update TripAdvisor if serve food on the day if I visit.

Visited for the Newcastle United game, great pub situated across the road from Ewood Park, the place was rammed but service for both food and drinks was swift and always with a smile. Reasonable price on both food and drinks and superfast free wifi.

The place was very dirty, from the dirty stained windows, sticky carpet and tables, the food was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen, the whole experience left us feeling dirty and grimy

Staff were very friendly and delivered outstanding food. Me and my family enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back again. 100% recommend

Visited the Fernhurst for an overnight stay and ate in the restaurant/pub.The receptionist Morgan was helpful and checked us in quickly with no fuss. The food was OK for the type of restaurant and the service was friendly.

Stayed at the hotel thats attached to the Hungry Horse Blackburn. The room was great,clean and spacious. The receptionist Morgan was super friendly and helpful. Ate and drank in the restaurant and pub which was excellent also as were all the staff who served us there.

Visited last night for a meal with family. 1st meal out since lockdown. Was greeted cheerfully by the host Amelia who explained everything really clearly in terms of the new procedures before showing us to our table. Felt very reassured about safety. Food and drinks came promptly and were delicious. Will definately come back again

Well were do i start... awkward obnoxious staff the worst iv come across.. wow just a bunch of kids who are inpolite rude and un professional. will not go again and will not recommend at all! turned people away although place was empty, ridiculous set up didnt have a clue and managment was appauling, awfully rude and non helpful needs a knew way of career for sure, be suprised if place is still ticking on in september due to the poor service and attitude of staff. awful place to be

Had a lovely breakfast here. Food was delicious. Plenty of it too although I think the toast should be part of it and not an extra. We were greeted by the loveliest staff.Chris, Mel and Faye. They made us so welcome. The place itself was nice enough but I went into the toilet after the cleaner and although the loos were nice and clean I had to get my own tissue out as it was empty and the other side the loo paper was jammed. Seconds after the cleaner had been in. Plenty of social distancing etc... The poor girl that served us was then in the car park picking up all the rubbish. Not an easy task as it was blowing everywhere. Plenty of parking, Reasonably priced.

Popped in on our way back from a day out, the greeter, Louise was very professional and said they had no tables available at the time but if we wanted to wait and have drinks outside she would let us have the next available table. Before the drinks were ardered she came and collected us to show is to our table, she explained the covid routine in detail and enthusiasm explaining about the app and scanning the Q code. I was a little disappointed with my food, ordering Jumbo scampi, which arrived with the said 15 pieces but the size was less than Jumbo, but it was still very tasty. Overall a very good experience and would definitely visit again.

Went on our lunch hour for something quick to eat. Firstly everything on the menu we ordered was unavailable. The food then toook over an hour to come. I ordered a curry which didn't come with half the items advertised. The rest of the meal was very average. I then ordered my son a childrens ice cream which after 40 minutes & having asked twice we just walked out without it. There was enough staff about & it wasn't exactly really busy either. Disgusting service!

Starting with a positive, the food was good. Chicken New Yorker, southern fried Chicken burger & Fish & Chips. Monday they offer a deal on steaks which is what we intended to order. Arrived at 6pm and was informed they had run out of steaks! Food took quite a while to arrive, when it did the waitress advised she would bring out knives & folks. 5 minutes later I had to approach the bar to request cutlery. Then I had to request condiments. It is not the unusual for this establishment to run out of certain food items as on previous occasions or they have been u able to fullfill an order. I feel sorry for the staff having to deal with a frustrated public due to poor management further up the chain. Special shout out to the lovely Joe & friendly Chris. Furnhurst : your staff & customers deserve better.

Came into the Fernhurst this afternoon and was greeted with a lovely smile. The girl who showed us to our table was called Chloe. She told us about all the rules for ordering, the one way system and the app. She was very helpful and she also showed us where we could find the app which was very helpful. Had a lovely experience and will be returning again in the near future!

Went for a meal today at 2.15 with my partner. I got the double daddy burger , was amaizing.....they didnt have the coleslaw but that was ok. The main reason im writing the review was for the service .... especially during these times we are in... The young lad who was waiting on us, i didnt get his name , but i do know he was new to their team. What a lovely young man. You could just tell, nothing was too much trouble. Just shows that manners , politeness and good service go along way. Good addition to your team guys!!

Popped in for a quick meal this evening. Our waitress Rebecca was very friendly and nothing seemed too much trouble. Food was just what we needed for an impromptu meal out. Great service - will be back!

We have been using here for family meal for a while, this time was really disappointing drinks order have missed off and delivered by the most miserable waitress. Food well no onion rings we were told 20 minutes after ordering, food arrived in stages taking over 10 minutes which is frustrating but due to current climate could be accepted. Quality was down on normal my daughter bent the knife on the chicken pie pastry was so hard, the mack and cheese tasted of vinegar, fish and chips were all good, pizzas good, even when you consider lasagne a pizza topping yes thats right lasagne in between to cheese and tomato pizza's this had to seen to be believed. The waitress that brought our food was completely opposite to the drinks lovely and really friendly smiling all the time.

We reserved a table over the phone and was greeted upon arrival by a very polite and smiley young lady named Louise. Louise was more than happy to help us with our orders and went out of her way to accommodate me with my awkward food requests. There are new precautions in place that are explained to you when you arrive due to COVID.

Came for dinner on the chance they had a table, didn’t realise we had to book but the host was very helpful and got us a table. She told us all about the new service style and exits. I didn’t get her name but was so pleasant. Asked us to sanitise our hands on way in. Really nice and friendly staff.

Got a steak and ale pie and it was microwaved. Disgusting. I will not be going there again. You just dont microwave pies

Havent been here in about 4 years due to them removing something from the menu that I loved to get. But... As it was on route today, me and my partner decided to give it a try. After having just left... What can I say .... I've just had a fantastic meal!!! My partner got a mixed grill with a tea, and I got a double sunny burger ( with a coffee added on to my meal for just £1 extra) I'm all about cheap and cheerful! And that was definitely both. Bill came to roughly £21Also , didn't catch her name, but the girl who served me was lovely! Really friendly, really polite!! Couldn't do enough. Very happy customer , and will 100% be returning. I visited on Saturday afternoon the restaurant was very busy with the Blackburn game on in the bar but didn’t have to wait to long to get served and the staff here are really friendly and helpful loved the steak sizzler will definitely be back

Visited on a Friday afternoon for lunch. We ordered on the app and everything was a disappointment. First the drinks, told us they had ran out of sugar for coke on tap so could only have a bottle - wasn’t even a pint. Then partners food arrived wrong so we told the waitress who tried to tell us we had ordered that! Luckily I had the app so showed her the order on my app. He then received his food and I was still waiting. I waited over 45 minutes and in the end I asked for a refund. The staff were all very young and lacked real customer service. Shocking! I will never ever return to this place!

We had a get together with friends from work who are all now retired, including me. The atmosphere I found was relaxing and food and service exceptional and great value. I'm sorry but I didn't make any mental notes of individual members of staff but please Andy, give ALL your staff a big thank you from me and my friends and I'll leave the rest to you. Will return. P.S. I was in a wheelchair and found access to the bar very handy and the disabled toilet fine. Thank you.

Ordered food at the bar with drinks, food came pretty quickly, i got the 15oz gammon which was covered in oil, chips were the only thing edible on the plate. Egg was raw and gooey. Friend ordered a steak sandwich which came out a little later it was deep fried battered steak in a horrible breadcrumb batter, deep fried absoultley swimming in grease, inedible. Friend went to bar to complain and the waitress was very approachable and got a full refund for the sandwich. Would not eat here again, i would strongly recommend not going. you really get what you pay for. Which is grease

Inedible cold food and limp salad. Prison food must be better. Everything was disgusting except for the scampi.
