The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Lovely situation and very good food. Staff are extremely friendly and efficient. We were lucky enough to have reasonable weather and we’re able to sit outside. One of the few restaurants that will actually let you book an outside table. Would definitely recommend.

There is only filter coffee available. No other coffees . Food is just cold sandwiches. No home made cakes. No soups, salads or hot food. New ownership hence the change in menu. Very disappointing.

Ordered a Sunday Roast delivery. Arrived within the allotted time, piping hot and very tasty. Great portion size, brilliant value for money. Would recommend ordering from Dentons Deli

We visited Palm without a reservation without realising they were about to close. Despite this we were greeted by the extremely attentive and friendly owners who were only too delighted to serve us. We had a terrific meal and it was obvious that the pride the owners have in their establishment is evidenced in the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff employed and they clearly have a very talented Chef. We spent some chatting to the owners before we left and we were left feeling they wanted to create something special in Lytham. We would definitely visit again, just a pity we live in Cheshire. Palm deserves to go from strength to strength.

Pensé en probar este chippy ya que recientemente me he mudado a la zona. Pedí patatas fritas y curry (£ 4 ). No disfruté de la comida, sabía muy soso incluso mis papas fritas estaban inundadas de salsa, más como un plato de sopa. Casi pido pescado, y me alegro de no desperdiciar el dinero. With access through the Old corn Mill antiques centre, the Vintage Tea Room is beautifully clean, but has a rather spartan appearance; reminiscent of a works canteen. and lacks refinement in presentation. Our bacon sandwiches were well filled with delicious, well cooked bacon; but the two slices of bread should have been destined for 'doorstep' toast. Although fresh and of a decent texture and taste, the thickness of the bread tended to detract from the filling. Whilst we were asked if we would like any cutlery or sauces, we had to request a paper napkin. Appearances do matter, and it was a little off-putting to see a man, who we presumed be the cook, simply dressed in ordinary outdoor clothes, wandering around outside with tea towel over his shoulder. The staff were friendly and helpful; the menu interesting and quite extensive for a small establishment, and we are sure that other meals would be as well cooked and tasty as was our bacon filling. A little more attention to detail would make a huge difference. Oh yes - and the coffee was good.

We had a lovely lunch at the River Room- the surroundings were relaxed but luxurious and the staff were impeccable. The food was of a very high standard with generous portions. Thanks to everyone for their professional and warm service.

This is my local which used to be a 3 minute walk from my old house. We moved in January 2021 with another pub more local to us. No contest, we stayed with The Flying Lady as our local with Gill and the team who are just the best and most friendly team you can get. Sunday lunch is served and can be served as a take away. The quality of the food is absolutel amazing and the portions are off the chart, such good value for money. You can get baps on a Satirday afternoon to watch the football with the pub having both Sky and TNT across 4 screens for great views from most angles. The pub caters for events and having had the food from the catering I can attest that Gill serves the best sandwhiches in Crewe and the most amazing spread in general so highly recommended. D&D early in the week, Wednesday night is quiz and I hear its very popular with Karaoke on a Saturday. What I love the most about The Lady is that no matter what day I go in I can have a laugh as there is always someone there to have a casual chat to and a general giggle. On the flip side if I have work to do before heading home from the office, I can set myself up and have a pint with my laptop and I am left alone to get on with it. Great pub for anyones taste.

Good food, nice atmosphere with the Chesterfield couches in the pub area. 1 large TV for sports. Sunday roast was very nice too. Outside seating available.

I like this Coffee Shop, it serves great coffee and some nice snacks and the staff are very pleasant and friendly.

I’m quite fussy when it comes to chips. However the chip butty I had at Moor Nook Chippy today was probably one of the best I’ve ever had.

Food very good, but badly let down by poor service. It was very busy when we arrived but we were seated and lunch was served in a reasonable amount of time. Food was good quality so no issues. We paid and then decided to have another drink. That confused them massively! Three times we asked for two teas, and three times we were ignored. Ended up walking out. Won’t be visiting again!
